Hey guys I'm back from my vacation! So instead of having me looking back like 200 pages could you guys tell me whats been going on and whats the topic right now? Oh yeah and and i played with DBC and Sheinfell while on my vacation(2 hotels had wifi)
Welcome back! I can't remember when you were last here, but there's been a fair bit of PvP activity within the last few weeks. Check the group later, Darth Ronfar has added a PvP thread for when multiple players are online and interested. Otherwise...well, go play a bit, and then start the ball rolling again with whatever topic you'd like. Convo has digressed from Star Warfare a little, though I think we were last either talking about freeloaders or PvP tactics.
Seriously, I mean you are correct about not sharing personal stuff but on websites like "neopets" and such with chat you can say your birthday and such just not where you are. I like this idea. They know what age you are but can't track you down at all... But anyways, people who are reluctant to pay more than 2.99 include me (I don't think I have yet. I got MC3 on sale.) but it is quite worthit compared to console games, but console games are always more detailed...
Thaaat's pretty much a decision up to you; I'm quite done with making people panic, so you guys can rely on your own judgment relative to how much or how little you want to disclose about yourself. Never hurts to give a little warning though The most expensive iOS purchase I've made so far was $10.49, from memory. I don't care that it was an IAP transaction to unlock the full game, I'm not letting some measly $10.49 get in the way of me playing Ghost Trick when I've been hell-bent on getting that for ages
The personal info thing, or our attitude towards the relative price of iOS games and/or apps? Remember how I said that the convo has digressed from Star Warfare a little? This is what I meant >.> The talk about PvP and freeloaders were the last on-topic conversations that I can recall before the thread fell a little quiet again, and any sort of chatter became up for grabs. The only other notable topic while you were gone is the rise in activity of the Star Warfare community on the Freyr forums, but their topics of conversation, interests and personalities differ a bit from us over here. Check them out if you're interested, but I'm personally more fond of the conversations and personalities we have over here
Yep, lots of discussion about PvP tactics, felt like 50 pages or more And parcheesy00: welcome back, too. I won't go any deeper into the "price of games" discussion, I could fill pages with elaborate essays on (my) history and opinion. Btw: did anyone notice that despite the larger number of people "over there" at Freyr we still generate way more posts? And a yes to what undead said: the folks over there are a bit ... unique. This here definitely has the better (community) spirit. JK: if you don't mind, why are you reluctant to spend more than 3$ on a game? Do you not think they are worth it? If you cannot afford them, that is a different story, but there are always means to remedy that. When I was younger, I did not have much money either. But then there were birthdays and stuff, or I could just save up for something I really wanted. Only somewhat related history: I can even remember saving up favors with my grandma all year, so when we went on holiday to Italy she would give me money and I could go to the arcades and play. I think I was 7 or 8 years old the first time I did that. I should wear medals for stuff like "played the original Pong arcade" , "Pacman veteran" , "Asteroids victim" and whatnot...
Brings back memories of many moons ago when my four brothers and I used to play the original pong, Pacman, joust , galaxian,Congo bongo,Sonic the Hedgehog etc Those were the days
Welcome back Parcheesy. Nice to have someone to increase the activity on this thread I think people are not so willing to pay $3+ is because most games that cost more is $7.
Why I don't usually pay premium prices for iOS games? Two words: Dark. Meadow. While I appreciate the desire to compare console/PC gaming to the iOS construct, they're simply not the same, as DM and other titles have shown me, sometimes quite painfully... Until devs stop messing with pricing and IAP structures and actual content, iOS will never be synonymous with premium... unlike with console games, you never "own" anything on the iOS, which makes it hard enough for people to contemplate spending big, and the specter of having your game broken after the fact only makes it worse for all involved. Regarding Asteroids, Joust, etc? Oh man, does that take me back... Not really playing this much ATM, aside from trying to do my daily Mithril runs, which routinely lead to my favorite unintentionally fun mini-game, "Make sure the guy with the zero kill bonus dies during the boss fight..." undead.exe mentioned this earlier, but wow, are a lot of people dropping out of matches... that and all the closed matches... things sure are different these days. DBC
That's it! Gonna put my iTouch into a time capsule... bury it and let the future figure it out Now where did I put that dusty old portable Pong machine? My brothers....I know where they are!
If anyone is up for running Siegfried and Serpent a few times, I'd love a couple teammates who actually kill things during the initial wave... or at least don't run everything into me. I'm attempting to run randoms to get them done, but it's getting more and more frustrating by the minute... DBC
I'm so sorry DBC I was doing some chores! I've got to eat right now How much longer are you staying around?
@ CM & Parcheesy - I've actually got all night (just finished a 40 page paper), but I'd like a party of three, so if you guys are up for it, maybe we converge in 30? 60? DBC
Congrats, and high five! Just finished an assignment on my end too, and I shall now be celebrating with...CLASS =.= I'll have to try catching you guys another time, study beckons >__>
Maybe around thirty minutes! I'm eating some delicious homemade pancakes and sausage!....ummmmmmm good
