Then probably you can handle mantis, right? Well just survive the initial wave, the boss itself is nothing.
^This^ Only, I can handle all of them... Seriously, this a really friendly, supportive group, and we actually enjoy helping each other, so jump on in! DBC
Serpent with 2 people's health or solo? Solo I can, what I meant is I can take them on with 2 player health.
Well, not out of choice, mind you, but yeah, suffice it to say I know I can take down three players' worth of health alone, without +25,000HPs... OK, I initially responded mostly out of humor, but I'm starting to sound like I'm bragging, so let's move on, yes? DBC
This makes me think some clarification is in order... If you read through the thread, you might get the impression that some of us are pretty hardcore and not very nice about player skills... Please rest assured, I can't think of anyone who posts here who cares at all about a player's skill or equipment level. We just like playing with each other. If/when you read about complaints, it's usually about higher rank players who don't try at all, especially during the initial wave, but often even during the boss wave, hence the term "freeloader" or my favorite, "swordsman" that you will often read about. Again, be very clear, the group posting in this thread welcomes everyone, as long as the person in question is actually interested in playing more than watching or getting their virtual exercise... I guess what I'm saying in my usual wordy way is that no one cares about your rank or equipment, so please feel free to join us! DBC
Guys! Check the match up thread a little bit more I posted Siegfried password 1111 and waited about 20 mins Okay maybe another time
I like F.4.A more. I once had a round where when I entered, there was a guy with 700 points (max 1500). I still won the round cause I think he was just picking on noobs. garage is the absolute best for F.4.A., cause that's where you have the view to hack n' shoot everyone on the field, and still have a lot of places to sneak up on IAPs.
Trust me, you lose nothing. I've recently had to change iDevices a while ago, and most of my apps were syncing automatically via iTunes (i.e. all save files intact, all records there, etc). Much to my shock, that wasn't the case for Star Warfare when it reinstalled from the iTunes backup -- I was back to Rank 1 with a measly little pea-gun! That didn't last for long though... As soon as I tapped "play online", a prompt came up asking me if I wanted to upload or download save data. Tapped on "download", and next thing you know, everything was back. The only thing I was "missing" was the way I originally organised the weapons in my bag and in my armoury (I dump all my weak/obsolete weapons on the last page, and all my good ones at the front page), but a little reorganising fixed that up right away I suspect the prompt is a warning that there's room for things to go wrong if you delete the game straight off your iDevice, much like any other game. That is to say, if you just install it on your device again, the default save data will be like you're a complete beginner - but provided that you've been logging in online relatively frequently (ideally daily), you will be VERY safe, and I'm telling you that from personal experience.
Oh, I can see some pretty hilarious irony now I've got some pretty big mother bird tendencies as well. Observe: When playing with a low-ranked enthusiast: "Dude, don't play so aggressively and hide behind me if you need to, you can't take that much damage! You can try shooting some more when we've managed to get you a bigger gun " When playing with a high-ranked freeloader: "...okay, you're seriously too big for the nest now, get outta here you squatter " *pushes freeloader towards a bull* ---------------------- ...ahem. Analogies aside... >.> Yeah, just like DBC said, we're always quite happy to help you along whatever level you're at. We're most likely not going to suggest you come with us on a boss if we feel that you're not ready to face that level of difficulty, but it sure won't stop us trying to keep you alive till the end whatever happens. As a piece of advice, try to play through the single-player campaign levels so you can see what sorts of enemies you should expect from each map - that should help quite a bit with learning how to survive the initial alien wave on your own Oh, and yes, I'm a hypocrite - despite telling newbies to take it easy and avoid getting hit if necessary, I tend to play quite aggressively as well. Until I've copped just a little too much damage for my liking, which is when this particular turtle will withdraw into its shell and fire from a more defensive position >.>
Sorry folks, had a few quite busy days. And tomorrow I will be out almost all day, too. Putting up a "codex" sounds like a good plan. @DBC: Where can I find Bravo's guide? I want to get an impression of what's in there.
A warm welcome from me, too, albeit a bit late I cannot say anything about PvP. But you don't need to hold back from joining anyone of us in bossfights. If that makes you feel more comfortable, we could work our way up from Mantis, and you just see how you fare and where your current limit is. As for weapons: Depends on how much money you make per day. M27, Nova, etc. all are very expensive, so it will take some time to get them upgraded. The FL334AR can get you surprisingly far, and is rather cheap. Same for the MCP76 - the cheaper chaingun. As for armors: Definitely thunder first, then I recommend getting the moneymaker setup for bossfights. Look in the Player's Group in my signature. Jediknight dug up the moneymaking guide by Asasnator, and the equipment showcase gives you an impression what folks here use and why.
