Do you think we think of you as a stranger? No, we seriously can't play, I don't play with undead and DBC and people that I know really well either, don't feel left out. I wish to play with you butnPvP simply needs more people.
I hear you. I'm personally hoping I get publicly named and shamed for not carrying players. It would make random a lot easier to navigate... DBC
I'd like to ask you to clarify by what you mean when you say "you need to let go of a part of your stuff", because I'm a little unsure whether you're referring to equipment, tactics, or reputation/ego. With regards to tactics, I think I've just about announced to everyone quite publicly how I play, and what ideas are sitting around in my head - it should be quite easy to create a counter for my projected playstyle based on what I've said. The equipment line-up I generally use should have been included in the PM I sent you a while ago. Ego and reputation, I would certainly hope I'm not coming across as someone who thinks they're hot stuff, which I may well be risking by yapping on about damage outputs, numbers and whatnot. That is simply what I enjoy doing in general - figuring out how things work, and then reconfiguring them in the most effective manner that I can think of. I share it here so that other people may critique and build off the ideas, and we can collaboratively come up with something that we may have never dreamed of in this game had we never tried to experiment and tinker around with what we've been given in the game. Equipment, I've already said it in the other thread: if you feel that some of us have it too unbalanced, then please feel free to request some limitations. I will quite happily abide by it should we ever get the chance to play, and I'll be forced to run for my life even more than what I normally do already >.> I agree that this should all be about having fun - but everyone has fun in different ways, as I hope I've managed to communicate. I will not worry about whose skills is superior, or who is better than who in PvP, but that won't stop me from making theories about weapon techniques and the like - and the fact that I say that quite publicly means that you're quite free to use whatever ideas I may spout. If you would like me not to use my theoretical set-ups, that is fine too - but I cannot really agree with you if what you're asking for is for me to zip it with the theorising, because I'm expressing that as something which I hope will help anyone who cares to try it rather than as any form of boasting. Lastly, with regards to the difficulty in coordinating games, that has nothing to do with your organisation attempts. The PvE set-up thread has also fallen a bit quiet as of late, which leads me to believe that people are getting busier these days. I know that a few people are on holidays without Wifi access, and then a few of us are also scattered in different timezones. Sometimes, you're lucky to find even 2 people online at the same time, so waiting for 4 players or more simultaneously is actually much harder than it would seem.
Not you, actually. There are...others, without being too specific =.=" (I suspect you'll actually know where to look, and it's the last place you want to be >.>)
Ditto what DBC and JediKnight said. Everyone's quite chill in here Don't take my huge walls of text as a sign of aggression though - I just happen to be quite talkative, and that's exacerbated when I've got theories and discussions to ramble on about >.> I'm not sure how many people I speak for, but I'm quite happy to run a match simply to play alongside people I know here rather than for any other reason. Sure, I'd prefer fighting in a full room of three as opposed to only two players if it's my first boss-run for the day, but there's no real reward incentive in PvP, so that's good whenever ...I can't play right now though, because it's actually 3:32am over here. I can't resist chatting, but if I start gaming now, I'll literally be awake till the sun comes up >.>
Preeeeeeeetty sure we're talking about personality and maturity levels, not your actual age -- this isn't strictly a bar where it's like "you must be over 21 to enter these premises"
Hey, morons are still allowed in here - provided they're not of the sword-swinging variety against the boss (If you're bringing a lightsaber, then that's allowed provided you're using the Force to chuck it around like a boomerang or something ) Don't tell me you looked over there =.="
Maturity is sort of what makes this place cool. I'm not seeing anyone over here throw a complete temper tantrum over losing in a PvP match, or outright starting a flame war with someone. Most importantly, there's none of that "I pwn noobs" or "let's mooch off some poor guy with a chaingun by freeloading!" crap going on in here. Well, THAT'S what I'm thinking of when I say maturity - not too sure what your perspective is, but let's just say, people here need to be cool, that's mainly what I meant
Alll I meant was being able to play coopertively like getting eachothers backs and stuff most people I play with in PvP and PvE don't know how to play like this and I think the game would be really fun if people actually played co-op like co-op
Oh yeah... lol Tempted to sign up just so I can post a, "You probably want to just go ahead and leave a room we're in together if you're the type of player who..." thread. DBC
Oh man, you REALLY should have been around here when the full community thing started on here...if we see a weak newbie who's enthusiastically shooting at stuff, QUITE a few of us here will actually go out of our way to make sure he/she survives all the way to the end There are actually a couple of counterarguments to that sort of mentality (i.e. why one shouldn't just carry a newbie through levels they weren't meant to survive), but I'm not about to let a newbie who's defying every connotation of the term "freeloader" die on me when they're trying so hard Playing cooperatively? PLENTY of that here - you just gotta play one of us in PvE to see it! PvP, we might need to work on that, because not all of us are so experienced on that end ---------- Edit: OKAY, THAT'S IT. MUST. SLEEP. NAO. G'nite guys, and enjoy the sudden burst of activity going on here
Too much good stuff being said by Darth, undead, and Jedi right now to quote everything, but it is stimulating an idea that's been lying dormant in my brain for a bit... Do we have a player etiquette guide yet? Should we? undead.exe knows this quite well, but without Bravo Two's BTHD guide, things would be very different in BTHD's co-op mp, and probably not good different... Seriously, maybe it's the fact that Siegfried paid out 8 Mithril over three runs for me in the past day, but I'm feeling generous and interested in doing a good deed for Freyr, so what does the group think? DBC
Said it before, I'll say it again. If you are honestly trying, I don't care if you're a Rank 1 in a Serpent match, you will survive if I have anything to say about it... DBC
