Yeah, I do. I don't know if I'm going into low leveled rooms or its the power armor. I'm still cautious of windblade users especially with cyngi+STK
You might catch me carrying one around, actually. I'm still using my old loadout every so often, which involves a Windblade alongside the Cygni and STK too. Not too sure how long I'd survive against you with that one though, because the Black Stars is the only RPG I have on me with that set-up.
What makes you think I'd try challenging a Trinity user head-on at close range? Particularly when I know that the one in question has geared it to do more damage? >____>
Yeaaah, I've got that too. And a sniper >___> Not that it means that I'd necessarily survive, but don't assume I'd be a pushover without my rockets
Truth be told, I might, actually, if I'm running away from him...the Windblade alone can't do much in the face of a souped up Trinity, but the Black Stars has some range on it. It's just a question of whether I can put enough distance between a Trinity user chasing me and myself to do that... Keep discussing tactics, actually, it's good to have some idea of what to do in these situations beforehand
It'll also depend on where I'm standing. At mid-range, I'd be in trouble, because it's not that hard to spray and hit a mid-range target with the Nova. Returning fire with the Nova, I'd also be at a power disadvantage - the one advantage I have is speed, which may not be that useful if there isn't enough cover nearby. If you blindside a sniper at close range with the Trinity, they're just about done for - they'll probably need one or two seconds to reorientate themselves and think about changing weapons, which I imagine is sufficient time to kill them with a power-geared Trinity.
With regards to a sniper? Hmm... That'd depend on the exact player's style. In my particular case, I'm more likely to switch weapons and attempt to retreat - I'm the type of player who won't camp somewhere unless I feel there are sufficient escape route possibilities. You CAN gun me down if I don't retreat quickly enough. Let's see...a Trinity user is theoretically easiest to snipe when they're trying to attack an opponent, because that's when they're at their slowest. Nova users, you can't really say too much beyond the common issue of initiative - whoever has the element of surprise has the upper hand.
What are people's "camping" spots? What type? I like places that are an intersection between the open and a corridor... what about you?
That's part of why I'm using the Cygni - the extra speed helps with sneaking up on people if you use the map properly. I *might* try using the Windblade on a Trinity user if I can blindside them, provided they're not in Perseus armour. The general idea for me is to keep relatively close to walls and architecture - standing in the middle of the map is equivalent to asking everyone to shoot at you like a duck on hunting grounds.
