I was just testing how many times you could use the ability, there really is no reason, just thinking "if you could use it 3 times on mantis you could use it at least 6 times on siegefried." and I didn't want to use it on siegefried "no time" so yeah, with my assault rifle (bad gun) I just press the fire button for like less than a second...
Any news over here? Or are we all playing over on Freyr's forum, where I am seriously gobsmacked by how overkill I'm finding some of their suggestions over there? o__O

Yeah from what I gathered from them I like these ideas Flames Zappers Dual pistols And a zapper that has an ability that can surround your player in lightning and hurts everything (including your teammates)

There was an idea that is laser cannon but power 400 and ROF os 0.15. That would be 9333 DPS. *not gonna happen* And it was only 18,000,000. The energy cost was only 10. But I really like the zapper, the only well rounded idea. My idea: Zapper Power 300 ROF 0.35 Energy cost 80 Speed -1 Ablity that lasts 10seconds and has 60 second chargeup time, anything touching it (including -again- teammates) will be shocked for the remainder of the ability and not able to move and taking 1/2 of the damage the gun produces during the few seconds. Does not work for actual boss. Also during this time your energy cost is reduced to 35. Maybe 190 mithril or 4.5 million gold? Changes? By the way, may not dual wield.
Also on there there was a weapon that has firerate 0.5 and power 1200. Also doesn't know that power is 3.5 of original power.
Have to say, I like the dualwield thing, the more think about it. Provided it is done right, of course. This could give less-liked weapons a chance to shine, for example the grenade launchers. Any big weapon that needs two hands (like the M27, Trinity, Rocketlaunchers) is out right away. Only small weapons that look like they can be reasonably operated with one hand qualify for DW. So you could use for example a Cutter and an Assault Rifle. Both not too strong individually, but they complement each other. Same with a Shotgun for close range, and a grenadelauncher for medium/long range. --- Yep, all of the stuff I saw over there so far is ridiculously overpowered...
I really like the zapper type, read my zpper idea, if that was made that would be so cool... Only 3000 DPS but can shock enemies and pass through them so it is pretty good and worth 190 mithril or 5 million or 4.5 million.
Still a bit unsure about the zapper, at least for PvE. Might be fun of strategic use in PvP, though. Especially in CTF, I'd guess. Just thinking about 2 guys with Zappers protecting the flag carrier

JediKnight: The Zapper includes some rather interesting mechanics, including a weapon with its own ability, and "friendly fire". Remind me again though: is it a short or long range weapon? And also, can you switch weapons while the ability is active? (Recall that all other abilities so far are on armours and backpacks, meaning that you can't switch out the equipment in question while they're activated). I would suggest to Freyr to release a WEAKER version of this weapon first if they're interested, but unsure about it: if people like the effects but find it too weak, that's when they can release a stronger version of the weapon, so it becomes a hierarchy in a weapon class. I'm interested because the effects seem more balanced, relative to some of the other proposals I've seen. Capricorn: If mind control was an ability, I would personally use it on a freeloading teammate, and then command him to start shooting wildly in the air with his most expensive weapon -- all the while disabling the button to leave the match Sheinfell and DBC: Truth be told, it's not really the weapon suggestions themselves on the other forum that are bothering me a little: it's more the underlying mindsets and attitudes behind it. That, and there's a little bit too much of that "ZOMG, I PWN NOOBS" vibe from over there -- as much as we've got some little rivalries going on in here, people are generally friendly, down to earth, and not up themselves, so I much prefer the maturity over here too
I made most mechanics so I should be able to answer this. You can change weapons during ability but that would waste the ability (only works when weapon is active) The arcs go for a limited distance but a long one, as long as the hill in lair. So the weapon is mid-range. Yeah let Freyr release any dps and power, just make something with same mechanics, I am just dying to see a weapon with own ability. By the way of course this is more balanced than a 9333 dps weapon. The forum over there is an inspirer-er for weapons, but whoa most are soooo over powered.
