personally I'm quite silly, cause I use m-2781 at point blank, which makes me kill 80% of all enemies on slime round if other players just pack together at a corner, and still quite a lot even if they use swords and trinity or the like. still I imagine it's quite stupid that I even try to do what I do, cause I do get hit a lot if I'm unlucky. what I don't like about Dracula is simply the 110 mithril it takes just to get the thing. I imagine Trinity and Laser Cannon would be much worth the mithril(plural?).
You CAN actually run-and-gun with the M-27 quite effectively -- that's how some players on here manage to use the Thunder Armour all the way up to Double Rages and Serpent without getting hit. If you haven't already, try memorising exactly where the spawn points are, and then keeping a comfortable distance away so you've got time to react. And use earphones - directional sound is unbelevably useful for discerning when enemies are coming at you from a blindspot, and I literally play like a blind person when I've got my sound on mute =.=" Yeah, I'd say you would have MUCH more fun with the Trinity and Laser Cannon. Whichever one you want will depend on whether you want a lethal weapon at close range (Trinity) or something which can be used at all-ranges, but overheats (Laser Cannon).
Same experience here. Point blank with the M27 works really well once you have a feeling for when the next enemies will appear, simply because it does so much damage. Trinity at pointblank is a close contender from what I've seen so far, but at least the WB's flying blades cannot hold up to it. I had a few situations where like 5 aliens spawn, the guy with the WB goes for one. I mow down the other 4, and then turn my fire to the last alien because the WB guy is still working on it. Effectively yes, but you are still s..l..o..w , just keep that in mind. I really like the "snapping turtle" playstyle, but when I see how other players with speedier equipment zip around, I always feel sluggish compared to them. But then, I make up for it with superior firepower
How much speed do you usually play with Sheinfell? I've grown quite accustomed to trying to play with 5 speed with the M-27, so when I suddenly switch the Thunder Armour out and push it up to 7 or 8 with the chaingun...I swear, I feel like I'm going to get a speeding ticket o__o
why do you only have 5? I always have 8 speed with M-27B1 and 10 with Windblade. gear: Perseus set, STK-06-ZZ, M-27B1 and Windblade both maxed out.
Sheinfell and I have 5 speed because we're a pair of gold-farming turtles. Specifically, both of our gold-farming set-ups involve the Andromedae Legs (-1 speed) and a backpack which adds one speed back to offset the loss. Factor in the M-27B1's penalty of -2 speed, and that's how we end up with a mobility of 5. Hence why we're known as turtles
I don't farm gold. I like mithril. what do I do for it? (1)clear all bosses. (2)kill mantis. (3)repeat as necessary. I still need about 400 (for Trinity and Laser Cannon).
Arrow0x? Do you play Infinity Blade 2, by chance? I saw someone with that username over at the IB forum.
The main reason I'm farming gold is because some weapons cost an absolute fortune to upgrade to level 8. You'll probably want about $40 million or so in storage if you want to fully upgrade the Laser Cannon on purchase, though that's just a rough ballpark figure... As for mithril farming? I've heard the Tapjoy offers can help speed things up a little, if you're willing to sign up for an account. Some people might have some issues getting mithril from them though, not too sure why.
yes. and, just like I said, put an elemental attack gem in a solar weapon. result: awesomeness (and presumably a broken brain)
Not there yet, playing IB2 like a slow stroll in the park. And rather busy with StarWarfare these days Don't tell me more, I want to be surprised.
You know how you've got a few seconds to hack at the enemy for bonus EXP after you've defeated them? A little hint for maximising that number if you're using dual-blades: use your index and third fingers alternatively, like you're trying to "walk" on your iDevice's screen. When you figure out the proper timing, you'll really like the numbers... ------------------ Hmm, Arrow0x, I seem to recall DBC saying that if you leave the apps around for a while, they might increase in value. Possibly up to 6 mithril, unless they've changed that...but hey, free mithril is always good
trust me, I've earned every single mithril I can get for free. of course it counts. and really, put an elemental gem in a solar weapon. awesomeness~
