Truth be told, the weapon which most dramatically counters power loss for an increase in speed is your very nemesis too: specifically, the one which turns you into a ninja seagull >.>

And that one actually costs a speed point...so ignoring that one for a moment...

You want a run-and-gun playstyle at this point, so I imagine you're after weapons with zero speed penalties to contrast with that of the M-27. Under that assumption, both JK and Superion's signature weapons are ruled out. So now it's a question of how much accuracy you want, and when and where.

Because the LIT07 fires beams, you need to be a fair bit more accurate with it, but the beams will travel instantaneously. With the Crab, the plasma balls take a split second to actually travel through the air, which is how M-27 users can outgun Crab users for a long-distance target if they don't have to spin-up their gun. That being said, the relative size of the plasma balls makes it easier to hit your target, particularly at a cluster of enemes which aren't perfectly lined up.

One last point of consideration is relative cost of firing: if you use only one weapon against bosses, the Crab may consume about 50% more ammo costs than the LIT07 if you're playing alone, simply because its relative damage-per-energy ratio is lower than the LIT07. Assuming you don't care about that, however...Crab for the bosses: it's just easier to hit the boss with it.

    -----------

TL/DR: If you care about ammo costs, get the LIT07. If you really don't give a toss about ammo, Crab for its larger projectile size.

If you want me to deadset recommend you one? Get the Crab - you're more about the gameplay than the costs at this point, I reckon >.>

If you can't find anyone with all three, or the LIT specifically, hit me up.

I say "if you can't find anyone", because we all know how little I get to play with you guys in my timezone =.="

Any chance I could interest you two (undead.exe & JK) in a run or 10 in about an hour?

What is the total power after leveling and total cost of leveling for the LIT, Nova, and Crab?

I might just get all three...

    Yes.
The LIT is the better version of nova so if getting LIT don't get nova but the dps of crab and LIT are 2333 and 2375 respectively.

Dammit, class in an hour =.="

I'll see if I can look up the costs for you later, but from memory, the LIT followed a similar pattern to the M-27. The Crab, horrifyingly enough, resembles a mithril RPG and the laser cannon in costs: you DON'T want to know...

So DBC the last upgrade is at least 17 million. The last upgrade for nova is 3.5 millionish and LIT 6.3 millionish so theres a good idea: LIT07 , theoriti
Cally during the boss part of rages, the LIT could surpass the M-2781.

    Nova dps is only 1960
While the other two are 2375 and 2333 with LIT better. though the trinity dps (without my factor of explosion) is still larger.

Only for a very limited amount of time though: remember that the purple mantis doesn't come down until the green one is at a third of its health, and it has MUCH less HP. You'll only be able to exploit the LIT's properties to their fullest potential for probably 20 seconds tops, and that's assuming both mantises are lined up for you...

Thats why I said theroritically you could use M-2781 and when the purple mantis comes down use the LIT.

I think you're selling me on the Crab...

It sounds like a Windblade that fires giant bullets.:D:p;)

Yeah, as much as you know I have zero interest in bragging, suffice it to say that I'm not particularly worried about buying anything in the game at this point. I just want something, idk, fun to play around with...

    Maybe Cygni/FLOAT/WB/Crab?

The only issue for me (and believe me, I respect your contributions to my seemingly never-ending quest;)) is that I'm trying to find a load-out that is fun enough to not pack the M...

Ahh, so THAT'S what you're doing. In that case, yeah, I'd VERY much recommend the Crab over the LIT if it's meant to be your new primary weapon - it's much easier to hit stuff on the run with the Crab if you're moving at the same time, as per your running-and-gunning :p

If you saw that earlier message, I should best retract that statement now -- I don't have enough time to run a full match now, and I'd rather not bail on anyone >.<

If you still want me to demonstrate any weapons/armour/specific set-ups, let me know, or good old fashioned boss runs are always good when we both have time :p

    For what it's worth?
I just bought the crab and upgraded it a couple of levels
It's lots of fun being able to run around faster in my Perseus suit and then I pull out the M-27 for the bosses

Yeah, it's looking more and more like the Crab...

Am I going to make enemies if I use a Hyperclipped Crab on bosses?

    Define "making enemies" >.>

The Crab will be noticeably weaker than the M-27, but since you're after a run-and-gun playstyle, I imagine you can probably keep shooting at the boss all match without a single interruption. People would much rather play with a Crab user than a Nova user against the boss (the difference in power is noticeable).

Otherwise...I can't really imagine why you would make enemies with a hyper-clipped Crab. Unless I'm hungry. In which case, I will be quite tempted to steam you alive for some steamed crab... *drool*

...and then you'll scuttle away at the speed of light, being a jet-powered crustacean o___O

    ------------

Also, lecture is about to start, so I should probably cut the chatter and pick up my pen rather than my chaingun :p
