I use the sniper rifle and sometimes M-27 along with the laser cannon. I use it long range like a machine gun, because every time I try doing short range for me, it takes a long time to kill the aliens. Trying to find a different play style.
Have you tried the Trinity or the Windblade for close range combat? They're both quite efficient for making things DIE at close range, so you might wanna talk to JediKnight (trinity) or DBC (Windblade) about those I personally use the railgun as an all-range weapon as well, but you'd probably find the chaingun safer than that, if anything. Maybe grab vicedestroy's game and try his weapons out
Sometimes I wonder what other players are thinking when I purposefully run around the Power-ups from aliens they've killed... If I don't kill it, the P-U isn't mine... unless I'm playing with Superion. DBC
They might think you're allergic to them or something o__O I sorta do that to the power-ups too, unless the glare is seriously blocking my view
BTW, no one has definitively sold me on the Nova or the LIT... It's a good thing you guys don't work on commission, you'd make terrible salespeople. Knowing how, uhm, energetic I can be, is one going to slow me down more than the other? Which one makes that, "Chooka chooka, chooka, chooka" sound? That one seems pretty speedy... DBC
Siegfried, right? And Rages. One of the reasons I don't like to camp long-term on those levels, the glare... well, that and I like getting to know the aliens I'm killing... OTOH, if I'm playing with Superion, I'm like a Vulture, or a Sea Gull. I just follow him around, stealing all his precious P-Us... I have to get my bonus somehow! DBC
Yes, I have the Trinity and Windblade and they are great for close range, thanks for telling me that. Oh and trust me, I take vicedestroy's game all the time to test his weapons out. I'm actually trying to get Morpheus
Without playing pvp? I'd say the LIT07 - I've never been able to bring a glitches nova into a boss fight, so until someone can confirm that it's possible, that's the way I'm leaning. Do note that the LIT is about half the power of the M-27, while the unglitched nova is even weaker...neither of them are making much of a chooka chooka sound next to the M-27's demon scream...
D@mn it! I want a new weapon! So nothing is going to allow me to run-and-gun with anything approaching the power of the M-27? What is the weapon people are using that makes the "chooka chooka" sound? It shoots little balls of energy? DBC
Crab 3,600,000 mithril. Joking gold. LIT is about the same, less than 200 different DPS so this is pretty good but a nightmare to upgrade
No, when I hear that weapon it sounds like " chewbacca, chewbacca , chewbacca" Remember everything needs to be in a Star Wars theme!
