Hi, I've been playing Star Warfare for about a year and my older cousin (I think he is on this forum, he's name is JDualZ) recommended this forum for tips, strategies, and etc. to improve my skills. I am a rank 10, have the full Perseus set, and a level 8 machine gun. I think I played with someone on this forum, uhm Enjoo I think? Oh, and I also heard there was a match making group somewhere, well that's it for now
DBC you said the only 2 worthit suits arqe perseus and thunder... Not true. To develop your own playstyle hybrid armor is the best.
Hi there, and welcome to our merry band of misfits The Group is here, join in: http://forums.toucharcade.com/group.php?groupid=559 It grew a bit since we started the match setup thread, though...
A few years back scientists developed this thing called an "opinion." You should look into it... Seriously though, that's just it. I have zero interest in spending a bunch of time worrying about hybrid armor sets. My "playstyle" was founded on the complete Thunder armor set, adapted to the complete Perseus armor set, and I would suspect that anyone playing with me can detect my "unique playstyle" from quite a distance, and isn't overly concerned about me dying or getting them killed before we all get paid... And my bankroll/ammo reserve portfolio looks pretty good as well, so yeah. Thunder. Perseus. Done. Simple. DBC
Speed freaks... Holy cow... Just fought a Siegfried match, and one of the other guys had a speed setup. He was flying bloody circles around Siggi, like some figure skater on speed. Definitely looked like fun and a change from normal gameplay. Think I will put a speed loadout on my to do list.
Welcome! Unless you run around carrying a sword and hoping everyone else will kill everything for you, in which case, prepare to die! Full Perseus, eh? Level 8 M-27B1, eh? Me thinks I'm sensing a new boss running partner among us... Is your gamer tag the same as your TA tag? DBC
I feel like I've seen you on there before... but now that I know the name, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you. It's nice to have another friendly in the randoms, if you know what I mean. If you see me in a room with you, I tend to be a little, well, aggressive with a Windblade during the initial rush, but rest assured, you'll have a second Hyperclipped Level 8 M-27B1 in the boss fight with you... And if I end up caving on the FLOAT pack, a more steadily firing one at that! DBC
True... Didn't mean any offense... Just stating my oponion a bit too... Whats the word? Rude maybe? Sorry...
Oh just stop! I was teasing! Sometimes the printed word is really frustrating, you know? It's so hard to tell what someone is thinking when you're just reading words... I was totally messing with you, of course you and I can have different opinions! DBC
Oh... Didn't quite know thqt.. Half of me thought that, half of me didn't I didn't know, but sorry anyways... By the way I got this awesome hybrid armor that is a combination of viper and hydra... Can't wait to test it out on PP!!! This is true.
I'm gonna start typing my posts in old Shakespearean English so everyone will understand me Opened the game today and collected my bonus Played one random game of mantis.... Pretty good gold but no Mithril Pressed continue and the game crashed Lost it all It's been crashing quite a bit for me since the last update Have fun
@ undead and sheinfell: As always you have both been incredibly helpful - I'll bear all you what you both have to say in mind - I'll probably hold out for the eco bag undead, only a couple of 10ks yet, and thanks for the tip about the endless mode sheinfell - that's the corner I think I've worked out is pretty good because you see two lines of monsters and the aerial attacks get deflected by the roofs of the tunnels. I think we're talking about the same corner :/ Anyhow, thanks so much and I can't wait for some co-op fun and I hope I am prepared enough in advance
Funny, you and I were likely playing random Siegfrieds at the exact same moment... I ended up with a great team, a Rank 8 and a Rank 9 who had clearly been busy upgrading their firearms. It pleased me. Before that I let off some steam playing, "Get the swordsman killed by the boss" on a couple Mantis and PP runs... It never ceases to confuse and amaze how many players will literally not even try to shoot at the boss. I mean, at least make it look like you're trying to contribute, you know? I must have run around with one Rank 9 player for 5 minutes before he finally (sadly) died, and he never sheathed his sword... it's just weird. I even clipped about 30-40% of PP's health to encourage a little assistance, but nothing. Well, I'm sure the whopping 800 Gold he earned will help with some ammo purchases... it's really too bad he didn't get more of the power-ups he was so patiently following me around and waiting for me to kill everything for. One of my Mantis runs was actually amusing, because the moment the swordswinger perished, the remaining player and I scorched Mantis in seconds. It was almost like we were both waiting for the same thing... lol Don't know if anyone has picked up on this ripple yet, but if enough decent players get the memo, the new construct of the game might actually make it easier (or at least potentially more fun and rewarding) to penalize freeloaders. Actually allowing a freeloader to sit back and do nothing while the other player(s) drag them into the boss fight, and then simply wait for them to die, actually favors the player(s) who are genuinely trying... The freeloader's bonus ends up being almost zero, the cooperative players get their pay-outs... it's a beautiful thing. DBC
I have an idea where the boss attacks players accordingly to the time they shoot at it and damage. themore time you hold down the fire button and the bullet hits the boss the time goes up. So a snipers in between shots also count to their time, if their hand was on the trigger then the boss attacks you less.Windblade cheats the system though... But there is also a damage factor like the product of the time and damage so a reaaly good freeloader with great armor not shooting one powerful snipe and not doing anything else versus a moob shooting the whole time doing slightly less damage than the snipe gets more money because of time. Comments?
We had something like that a bit ago, and general opinion was that it is too complicated. Nevertheless, I can add it to what I want to send to Freyr as another suggestion. Look here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=120348&page=424 Comments on Jediknight's idea and the stuff on page 424?
Well there was never idea about how long you shoot at the boss only amount of shots(unfair for slow guns that are powerful) amount of ammo (unfair for pweople with good guns but low ammo costs, and now I think of amount of time(unfair for well, freeloaders) paired with damage.
I'm very interested in weighing in, but I've got to work on a paper... Hopefully later tonight or this weekend? Put as succinctly as possible for now, I don't care how weak or strong someone is, for me, helping is helping. Helping should ultimately = Glorious rewards Not Helping should hopefully = No glory, no reward, and possibly eaten by boss DBC
