Tried to solo PP in pure beginner armor, didn't get touched in first wave, 1 hit kill in actual boss... Killed Mantis though...
Ranked Up Yes, I finally ranked up now I'm rank 11, that much closer to being rank 12 (sniffle sniffle)
It's hard, eh? What with poison, and PP's insane body slam attack. Hint: You're allowed to pack Nitro power-ups for the Viper Armour challenge, but double kudos if you can do it without o__O
Is rank 12 something you're aiming for? Personally, I sorta found it to be a disappointment: no new things to unlock, no extra HP/power/speed...sorta a dead end for me
Plus, you end up there sooner or later anyways, way too soon in my opinion. I do not play much, and I am almost at rank 12, one day more or two, I'd think. --- new thought: That would be something, that you can raise a stat everytime you gain a level. E.g. +1000hp, +1speed, or +10 power.
@Sheinfell: Sorry about posting there, my bad. Thanks again for the help, the damage per second stat looks like something I could get interested in I'll delete those posts as you said, though perhaps if you have in your guide an F.A.Q. section for beginners, you could use my questions and your answers. Anyhow, good morning all
"Good morning"? You're in the strangest timezone I've seen yet, and mine's relatively out there compared to most people on here o___O (For the record, it's evening here)
No worries about that, BK. I did not label the thread as "please don't touch", corrected that now. And yes, thanks to your questions the first part of the guide will explain all the basic stuff. For me that was always quite obvious, so I did not think about explaining POW for example.
"Strange" says the person who lives upside-down? He is in UK, just one hour behind me here in Central Europe.
Oh right, another European. You guys can start a little Europe club now By the way, you three (Sheinfell, Bazingaking, Asdeasde97) are probably the best positioned to use the Mumble server I set up a while ago, if you wanted to try it out - the server's based in Europe. Not sure WHERE, exactly, but it should work the best for you compared to any of us here. Me? Upside down?? I'm gonna fall off the Earth!! o___O
I *should* have time for a Mumble test on Monday 30.7. late afternoon, early evening. Bazingaking, what about you? Oh, in case you did not get to that part yet, Mumble is a free server for voicechat. @undead: Who is number 3 in Europe? Did I miss someone?
Asdeasde97. I was originally going to mention all three of your names in my earlier post, but I somehow forgot that. Corrected it now, but that was silly of me >.> Server details are in match-making thread, but I'll write it here too. --------------------------- Description: StarWarfare EU-1 (you can actually call it whatever you want, but I've just called it that because I've got another two European servers on standby) Address: 78.47.224.66 Port: 11092 Username: Whatever you want, though I'd recommend using either your forum name or your GC Password: None (this can change, but I'm leaving it unprotected for now)
Hey guys just to let you know i'm going to be gone for like 3 weeks (unless there's wifi on the cruise) and i'll also be going to camp
@ undead: Yup UK! @everyone: Monday evening should be great - I'm up for it, though am still a newbie so will die if we are gonna co-op while chat Have to be awake very early Tuesday to go abroad, so we might be eating earlier etc. just give me the heads up when. BTW - Warfare Question - I got the gun you suggested, and have got to stage 3 (I'm sure not very impressive), got a pile of ammo and health add ons etc, and have got 115k - What shall I spend it on? Should I save up for the backpack, then spend it or should I get some armour since I still have the most basic version given to you by the game. Thanks anyhow
@ Dev/null - Thank you for a wonderful Serpent match last night, and for saving me from throwing my phone out the window... Considering my schedule and current feelings about SW, I reluctantly ventured into random territory last night, and the match I played before the one I played with you was my worst "post update" nightmare realized... Me, Rank 12, and Rank 11. One player uses a WB throughout the whole run, yes, including the boss fight. Me and the gun-wielding player shoot Serpent for about a minute, and then I realize sword-guy still hasn't taken out a gun, so I switch to my WB, and run around with him for a few minutes. Player with gun eventually gives up with Serpent at about 2/3 health. Sword guy bails within 5 seconds of the first... sound familiar? I'm just about to shut down when I notice dev/null in a Serpent room... Oh my, was that ever the most fun I've had in 10-15 seconds of boss fight... If you want to run together on a more regular basis, shoot me a PM and let's see if we can schedule something that works... DBC
Nice, enjoy your holiday... or not? Could be you got shanghaied to work as potato peeler on the cruise ship
I'm sure everyone who plays with you will give you tips, but as a newbie, your first priority is to stay alive. We're certainly quite happy to see some trigger-happy enthusiasm on your part, but you'll die in one or two hits if you haven't upgraded your armour. While there have been some arguments for and against it, if people here are happy to invite you along to a co-op match (and I'm sure no-one's objecting), our main goal is probably to keep you alive to the end of the boss fight -- doing that will net you a pretty hefty amount of gold. So personally, I'd say the first thing you want to do is avoid getting HIT -- and maybe don't make it too hard for more experienced players to cover your back (so maybe don't wade into the middle of an enemy crowd ) Hmm, you're almost halfway to the ECO bag -- you're turning over some pretty good profit o___O If you can wait, then I'd say buy the ECO bag first. If you can't, then buy the Hydra Head first for the gold bonus, if you've unlocked it (buying the Hydra Head now should theoretically be the faster profit-method, but it doesn't matter too much if you're not on boss runs just yet). --------- Edit: Or yeah, a survival might actually be a more suitable and ethically-sound co-op type to do, rather than throwing you straight at a giant insect with blades for arms >.>
