I want one too, mind shipping it over? For the first time, I can all too well understand your frustration with the freeloaders. Did a random DR fight. One guy was doing okay, the other not so much... Swordwaver, hiding behind me and the other, not contributing anything. Only moved out of his corner to collect bonuses, then went back into hiding. No need to mention he wore full Perseus armor, I guess... and I think the Freedom backpack, to make things even more ridiculous. Here comes the fun (well, actually not so much) part: Everytime he got attacked, he *actively* led the aliens into us two others. After a minute or so I ignored anything that went his way, and focused on keeping the other chaingunner alive. And guess what? When things got a bit too hot for Mr.Freeloader, he suddenly pulls out an M27, and judging from the speed he killed aliens, it was not exactly level 1 anymore. Danger over, back to his corner and standing around. Oh, almost forgot the payout. We all survived the fight, freeloader gets 10% of what I got for the wave, and a ridiculous 2/3 of my boss reward in gold. So yeah, after a few (most likely more than just that) experiences like that, I can understand very well why that blows your fuse.
Aside from some experiments I conducted...yesterday, now, since it's 6 hours past 12am...I don't really play anymore unless someone wants people to run alongside them in the match-setup thread. Most of my time has gone to other games and projects for the time being, though I might pop SW on 2 or 3 times a week on my own.
I doubt I really do undead just said telling my age makes me vulnerable blah blah blah. What somebody is going to investigate everyone my age in my location and BTW my location is earth... Yes pretty broad... Undead did you think your post through? And no I don't play this just hang out, MC3 has my mind full. (of games I have many other things to do besides games...)
That is...completely nonsensical, unless he was trying to get you killed. My only rationale behind that is that getting you two killed off would have given him the rest of the gold from the remaining aliens. If that isn't the case, it makes even LESS sense if he had the Freedom backpack: he'd have no ammo expenditure, and refusing to use his M-27 just means giving up kill bonuses to you and the other chaingunner. DOES. NOT. COMPUTE. </head explodes>
Full ack, will delete my other post right away. Anyone who referred to that particular remark, and also the original poster: Might be a very good idea to remove them, too. Bad times that we have to worry about this.
Do not change any of the details (or maybe one or two incidentals: no Freedom Pack, another top level armor set, etc.), multiply that experience by 100+, and yeah, you get where I'm at... DBC
I'm not going to give you ideas, but you will be surprised at how much information people disclose about themselves online. Just a few little cues here and there may be enough for you to correlate someone's online account with their real name, their email, or another piece of information that links their online and real life identity. The scariest part of that is that you don't need to be a hacker, or even computer literate at all -- just plain logic is enough to deduce links from careless people if you're observant enough. Anyway, I imagine you should be fine right now, but just be careful with your personal information if you value privacy and a degree of anonymity.
Does not make sense at all, fully agree. Watching me for just like 30 seconds should have told him that he most likely cannot get me killed: highlevel armor, heavy weapon, mowing down aliens left and right and even protecting the other two players. And the other chaingunner wasn't exactly doing a bad job either. Oh wait, *should*...
Truth be told, there isn't an immediate need to worry about it - the event was because of a comment I made regarding safeguarding personal information, so there isn't an immediate danger just yet. However...I will say that in my state, we've had a disturbing number of crimes based on people meeting through a social networking site, identity theft, or indeed, cyber-stalking. I'm being pedantic here, but I would much rather you guys think I'm paranoid, or stupid if you will, than discover that something happened to someone here because I didn't voice my concerns about being careful.
Really? Wanna talk completely nonsensical? After Freyr's recent update? This player's behavior makes perfect sense. Further, it is actually in your best interest to not only tolerate such behavior, but actively support it be helping such players ultimately "defeat" the bosses, while they do virtually nothing in the process... That, my friend, is nonsensical. DBC
Changed my post, now I should be safe.... Not like I wasn't. But good point... Let this conversation be over alright?
Sadly, without leaving the room, it IS in our best interests to keep them alive if you want the extra gold from the boss. But then again, if you're willing to give up some gold to reduce the boss's HP by a little...who wants to play "keep away from the freeloader"? Or better yet, "get the bull to gore the moron"?
