PP, very angry This stupid guy was running around with a sword (cutter) and didn't do any freaking thing and got 2 mithrils, this kind of stuff get me so pissed off at least there was a Perseus helping me (They were both rank 9)

Thanks for clarifying, Darthguy. Firing one shot of any weapon - sword or gun - would ensure that you get a reward in my idea, agreed. However, please keep in mind that this was only a very quickly written outline of what *I* think might help. Balancing a game properly and keeping it fair for the majority of players requires alot of thinking, hard work and effort. Getting the finer points nailed down can take alot of time; not to mention actually programming, testing, releasing and retuning a new approach. One of undead's suggestions (here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2360399&postcount=4171 ) was to also factor ammo usage during the boss fight into the formula for rewards. Good start, but as Darthguy unintentionally(?) pointed out, this does not address swordusers. Yes, they can do damage too I agree more with undead's first suggestion, to use damage done as another factor. Here is a first rough draft: Reward and/or reward chance is: base reward (chance) percentage, plus factor for total aliens killed, plus factor for damage done to the boss. Any of the 3 factors can be weighed as high or low as Freyr would want. For example, an extreme approach would be to make the base factor zero, and have only the other two determine your gold reward / mithril drop chance. I don't have time now to work out a more detailed proposal that includes some numbers, unfortunately. Also, I know I did not reply to everyone, please do not take offense. Let me just say that I would not like it to see a good community like this disband in the near future, and that I hope to see all of you around for sometime more, and actually see this community grow. And please: Use any tone and language you want, I am not here to dictate you anything and I sincerely hope that I did not leave such an impression. I work in IT customer support for over 10 years now, and alot of times I have to be very careful with every word I say and how I say it. Like it or not, obviously it shows :> Anyways, my humble recommendation is to watch the language at least a bit, as it could very well be that Freyr is reading here now and then.
