I had to read through so many pages -.- quick response to things: one- never listen to the morons over at the wiki page. two- I like how undead said "counteracted by moving and changing spawn pattern etc" rather than simply stating 'Superion' three- I live in the U.S. as well. four- a mumble server seems like a great idea, just for chat or funtalk rather than "BRAVO ONE, LEFT FLANK!" talk. I guess this shouldn't have surprised me, buuuuut... Just ran a Serpent match to check out the health bar, graphics, and hopefully Mithril fixes (I know, I know, I'm going to bed right now), aaaaaand the pay-out is lower. No Mithril, less Gold... Hooray for the update! DBC
Bear in mind, and I thought of this right after posting, the Gold drop for Serpent actually makes sense now, it's less than Rages and more than Siegfried, which I guess is how it should have been all along, but... It kinda blows to have so many people who have already been playing the game get that kind of surprise. You would have thought they'd leave the Gold drop alone and bump up the Gold drop in Rages a little, but then I guess they're running a business... Oh well, Serpent's dead anyway. That's good news, right? DBC
don't like the update. final gold drop now depends on people ALIVE at the end. (which at least fixes double rages bug, cause Green's health doesn't automatically drop to a third, rather its health bar has less health and you get less gold.) capture the flag is nice and fun. p.s. killed my first serpent today. should have done it a long time ago. it's WEAK.
New Update Just did a Serpent and got 4 mithrils and 1 mil cash the other dude died, but the person that survived with me was a great partner. He got the same thing 4 mithrils and 1 mil cash too, I guess it is a bit more fair.....
AGAIN?! Oh man, Freyr, that's going to tick people off...and hmm. I'll admit that Serpent seems easier than Rages once you're patient enough to tackle him, but I'm quite annoyed that I just lost my biggest cash cow when Stadium Arcadium is harder to survive than Fire in the Hole (getting hit by an enemy costs you much more). ------------ CTF looks like it required quite a bit of programming, I'm quite impressed...now if only there was a way of incorporating that mechanism into co-op mode against the aliens: maybe you have to go into a cave and retrieve mithril supplies from a downed ship (yeah, it would be nice to ACTUALLY get mithril for a mission like that, which is split according to how well you perform), while they're doing their utmost best to take a human hostage? (Truth be told, I think they'd eat the hostage rather than take him/her back to base, but the aliens don't strike me as smart enough to steal technology or mithril for the time being) ------------ Also, since Freyr just released an update, if you have any good ideas you want to ask of Freyr, email them now! This is about the most time they'll have before the next update, so any ideas you have about encouraging teamwork or introducing team dynamics, now's the best time to email them.

Well, I wanted to write another email to them anyways, so that goes in as complaint. ----- I thought about the community thing a bit more, that's why I want to write them in the first place. What we lack is a way to communicate with players who we think are good, and we would like to see them here. However, Gamecenter can work as a limited form of communications, by sending friend requests with custom text. The problem here is that we do not know who is who in an online match. An option to display a player's number ("P1") and GC name during a match would remedy this.
