I tried the stk-zz-06 but I was carrying a phenix user with the second sniper rifle so I had BAD experience witb it, honestly I go on jere more than playing star warfare so it doesn't matter, I'll pick up the slak if the update is good, if not, then only MC3 for me.:( It's just sad leaving this game.

BTW: My star wars luncbox is always nearby me, I don't trust Superion having it. :):p:D:rolleyes:;)

Yeah, I agree about leaving the game. It kind of bums me out, but I'm just tired of carrying people, not getting Mithril, connection drops...

It's so rare that I end end up with two players in a fight they belong in, with weapons and armor up to the challenge, it's just not worth the frustration for the rare "great run." I hear the first shots fired by my teammates and I'm thinking, "Greeaat. Guess who'll be killing this boss?" As has been stated repeatedly, the balance is definitely off in this game, at least if team play is supposed to be encouraged...

If we ever did build a user database where I could be guaranteed to play with others who had the tools and the motivation to take on bosses as a team? Awesome! Until then? Not so much...:(

You know, Superion is actually pretty trustworthy... just sayin'.:p;):D

Strange, maybe this depends alot on the times you play.
Except for Asdeasde97, I seem to be the only one from Europe in this community.
I usually play in my evenings, and sometimes a run or two ~3am or ~5am (sometimes I wake in the middle of the night, and go for a smoke).
For the lower end fights (Mantis, PP, Siegfried) I do not care much who joins, I can crash the party alone easily enough.
For DR & Serpent I started setting the rank limit to 10-12, with surprisingly good results.
The moron quote went down drastically for me on those fights, to maybe one in seven, instead of 2 in 1 :)
And even if one of the guys joining is a swordwaver, the other so far always could pull his weight good enough to make up for it.

    -----
Geez, did I really just call Siegfried a "lower end fight"? Less than 3 weeks into the game, and I already get jaded...

It's not so much about being able to complete the bossfight as it is a complete lack of team spirit. I've played with DBC numerous times, and he's very big on the community aspect of multiplayer games -- it's not so much about being able to kill the bosses as it is about players cooperating with each other. The mithril is another major driver, but that's a story for another time.

Now this is why I don't play this often:
    • Set the rank limitation to be 10-12
    • In the loading screen get excited
    • Then I look at my team
    • Faint/see a rank10-12 with armor worse than Thunder or with horrible weapon
It seems like people try to make you mad.
You have GOOD luck, I realized DBC is right about randoms

How do you get a Rank 10-12 with armour below that of the Thunder? If they paid to get to Rank 10, that usually implies they're quite loaded with mithril too...

(if, by horrible weapon, you mean a "Windblade", then I feel your pain bro =.=")

Windblade or worse, a sniper, yes a sniper in the actual boss battle, I carried someone with titan armor and sniper rifle through SERPENT. nuf sed. But at least he had 3 rebirths. ;)

This has all been covered to the point of being moot, but I used to play all times of the day.

While it's great to hear that other players have such amazing luck with teammates, it does nothing to change my luck, and thus my feelings about the game and it's lack of balance.

High Rank, low Rank, it's all the same, just different colored armor. My favorite is when both of my Rages teammates end up with -2,000 kill bonuses and 4 Mithril, while I get none. That's awesome.

    /sarcasm

What I do find intriguing in the conversation regarding boss difficulty...

Serpent and the Double Rages? Yawn.

Siegfried? 3 Hyperclips, or I'm praying someone in the fight has something more useful than a Nova or a Crab...;):D

That's the craziest thing about this whole community thing...

I walk away from my computer, and you and Darthguy essentially say what was in my heart for me, in a way I wasn't saying it...

If people genuinely enjoy killing the exact same things over and over again, more power to them. For me, it would quite literally bore me to tears after a short time...

Mithril? I have stated this many, many times, but I'll say it again. I could give a flying F about Mithril. Aside from the M-27, the Laser Cannon, the Windblade (OK, OK, and the Trinity:p:rolleyes::D), and the Thunder and Perseus armor sets, everything else in the game is either useless, or very selectively useful, based on player experience and a proper understanding of the tool in question.

Put simply, I don't need Mithril, I don't even want Mithril. What I do want is a distribution system that wasn't designed to discourage playing the game, or playing as a team.

What are we left with? Arguably the reason players decide to stick with an online MP game or bail on it... community.

Fix the community, fix the game. Fix the game, make lots more money. Don't fix the community, lose lots of good players... the rest is pretty self-explanatory.

    Titan Armour...?

If that had been a rank 5, I would have been INCREDIBLY impressed. I had a Rank 4 in Strike Armour almost stay alive with me through all of Serpent. He had no firepower, but I'm always impressed when someone that far out of their depth displays such incredible survival skills.

In your case though...Rank 10-12? He's either trolling, or just plain incompetent =.="

The funny thing is, you're about the most supportive person I've encountered on TouchArcade...and Star Warfare's design has literally made you start luring bosses into killing freeloaders as a mini-game o___O

Yeah, we need to fix the mithril distribution, BIG time -- look what it did to the biggest team-player on here!

Trolling definitely, remember he had rebirths so not that amazing but didn't help me at all, and I only had 1 hyperclip the other person died a third of the way through the actuall boss fight, I had no hyperclips and took a lot of dodging to destroy the boss. :(

    And yes, titan armor.

Actually, now that I think about it...I think that was an IAP player. Mithril would have bought him rebirths, as well as the R700-AA -- but he would have had next to no gold if he didn't convert his mithril. That would explain why he had a full Titan set, rather than the Andromedae or something.

Put simply, I think you were playing with someone who bought his rank, so his actual skill and experience wasn't a level 10 =.="
