Thanks Superion EXE I'll hang around a bit and read the posts Maybe play a bit but I really believe Freyr games has to step up and address these countless issues that undead.exe , Drummerboycroy and others have expressed!!! Take care and enjoy whatever game you play
Hi Darthguy What we need to do is all take a crash course on game development and create a game together on the unreal engine platform that we all like!!!! But heaven help us if it becomes super successful because we might fight over the revenues!!!! Take care
I just opened the game and collected my bonus!! Hooray!!! Then I played a Mantis game We all survived ... I hacked and slashed like crazy and pretty well defeated the boss quickly and I got about 120,000 points and no one got Mithril ....what? I usually get something on the first fight of the day I was kind of peeved so I created a PP game.. I customized up with a HC but I forgot to get more ammo for my M-27oh no!!! We made it to the boss and the other fellow had a M-27 but at a lower level so it didn't help When I quickly ran out of ammo I tried my best with the WB It was a valiant effort but I died!! The games were quite choppy frame rate wise and after each fight my game crashed which rarely happens Some one is trying to tell me something That's probably it for todayWOW
To be clear, I'm not really bored, more frustrated, because the game should be encouraging teamwork, and at present actually discourages teamwork in many ways... I will miss you too, and do keep in touch! Thanks. It's a little weird how fast it's happened, especially because before BTHD I wouldn't have considered myself an "online gamer..." Honestly? I think I'm going to go back to BTHD. The game demands teamwork, rewards individual and team efforts, is far more realistic about awarding premium currency via gameplay, and has just received an update that means the leaderboard is going to change, and I've got to protect my position... I agree, we should all keep in touch, and who knows, maybe Freyr will make some necessary changes and we'll all see each other again... out there. As for games I play, as I said, this is the second MP game I've ever played. Most of my games (PS & XBOX) are single player, and my phone is a mix of many, many genres. If we do lose connection, I want to thank you for helping me when I started. I said it a long time ago, guys like you and undead.exe got nothing out of helping me other than feeling good, so I hope you're satisfied with the killing machine you helped create! OK, now put away the Kleenex... Be well... DBC
Superion, Mumble basically requires someone to create a server for people to join/sign into. At this point, only Felder seems to know how to create a server, because those mechanics are completely beyond me. From what I understand, Felder and Gluey got some success out of running Mumble simultaneously alongside Star Warfare: some lag issues were encountered, but it was unclear whether it was due to Mumble and Star Warfare being run at the same time, or whether it was because of one player's internet being choppy. It's certainly an option worth exploring for those of us on this thread who still want to play the game, but we'd really need to hear more people voicing an active interest in voice chat and/or Mumble in particular for it to take off as a workaround until Freyr figures out how to create a community around their game; I can certainly appreciate that programming our suggestions in probably isn't as easy as it sounds, but both Freyr and us as fellow players are losing some seriously valuable assets in players like Darthguy and Capricornman, who bring so much more to the game.
Check out Bullet Time HD. I will not be offended in the least if it's not your thing, but the thought of helping you reach the top 20 worldwide would seriously motivate me to pick it up again... I mention this because your understanding of battlefield dynamics and strategy fit the high score aspect of the game perfectly. As much as I tease you regarding this game, the rewards for playing with your style are steep in BTHD, and the penalties for playing, well, with my style in this game are just as severe in BTHD... Call it payback on a debt. DBC
I'll be a bit busy in the coming few days, but rest assured, you will catch me running around in that game like a complete noob in the near future, and have a jolly good laugh about it Also..."top 20 worldwide", and "protecting your position"? What kind of crazy monster are you over on Bullet Time? o_____O
^This^ is wrong. I just played a random Serpent match with two excellent teammates (YAY!). Finished Serpent, everyone was HCed (I almost died Whoops!), and we get to the stat screen, it's everyone's first kill for the day, kill totals are all very similar (we worked well together), aaaaaaand... I got 4 Mithril! Yay, right? No, instead of feeling great because I finally got mine, I felt bad because my teammates both got zero. Sorry, but for that much work, to receive zero just isn't very fair, and is frankly quite demotivating. Having been the one on the losing end far too many times, I can't even feel good about winning. I need to ask...which of my playstyles are you referring to? Because I think you've seen me do quite a few different things... >.> Turtle armour (Survival): this is what I'm telling new players to do on this thread: camp against a corner with a fast-killing gun, and leave a little room for evasion if any projectiles come your way. Turtle armour (quick kills): you've probably seen more of this as of late. Once I've got a good idea of how much HP I'll need to survive a level, I don't mind being a bit more aggressive, and I'll step out further forward to ensure that I can land the first hit on things before someone else kills the alien before me. I'll cop a few hits in the process, but I'll still try to evade -- it's just that I'm more willing to risk getting hit to get more kills if I know I'm not taking too much damage. Thunder armour (FULL AGGRO): you saw THIS one or two days ago when I played you on Siegfried and Poison Pit. If I have enough foot speed and power, I'll start dancing around in a zig-zag pattern while firing to change my field of vision and manage my distance from enemies. This somewhat resembles Superion's dancefloor maneuvers, except I can actually end up running all over the map instead of the disco ball's impressive, absolute circular point defense.
Pocket legends=lame=unseccessful freemium. Agree I play MC3 but I won't play really scary games like that, they are annoying and actually bad for your IQ. By the way I love sniping, in nerf wars, games (except star warfare)
Suggestion game: Jetpack joyride? It is a very simple game that I have actually deleted because of glitches but is now updated, check it out. DBC: I got BTHD but didn't extremely like it, don't be offended it actually have some more complex parts than SW.(breaking things) I was thinking of jetpack joyride because it is more of a side game instead of maindary, the game I like costs 6.99 but I got it on sale. for 0.99 which was awesome. Jetpack joyride is free (as far as I know and you basically avoid obstacles and such...
Jetpack Joyride's a pretty good "gimmick" game (as in, something you can pick up and put down in an instant during the day when you're feeling bored), but I guess it doesn't really feature any player interactivity, as far as I know. Definitely something worth checking out though if you need something for the train or bus
This lamb is moving on to another pasture Thanks so so much again for your encouragement and laughs! Ok wipe the tears away See you on other threads Take care
Then maybe cartoons war gunner free, it doesn't have player interaction but we could still discuss the game. Any other ideas? I'm out.
It's hard to explain, but it's a combination of everything you listed... You have an awareness of being damaged, by what, and by how much. I'm shocked how many SW randoms I play with, at all levels, that don't seem to grasp this very simple concept. You have an awareness of precisely what damage each weapon will do to each enemy. Perhaps most importantly, you have battlefield awareness, something crucial to success in BTHD. It's not what's right in front of you, it's the masses that are forming off-screen... BTW, all I'll say regarding my position in BTHD is I tend to run with a pretty intense crowd, and the rest is on the GC leaderboards... DBC
Oh, anything and everything's up for discussion if we can make something to talk about; I mean, what with all the backstabbing and freeloading going on in SW, who would've thought we'd make a functioning community out of it all? So if you wanted to put forward games to discuss, please go right ahead -- double kudos if it's a something we can actually play together on, so we can transfer this whole community straight across, both within and outside of the game itself
LOVE JJ... Check my signature. Re BTHD: Oh please, I'm too old to take offense. The reason I suggest BTHD is because the Co-op MP portion has a similar dynamic, albeit top-down, and it rewards team play significantly. There is also a reason to get better, because the better you get, the further you go, the more Crystals you get (up to 40-50+ a day vs. my 4 yesterday from SW). Check out the Co-op MP. An obvious warning, you're not going to do that well with your first weapons and armor, but the upgrades are significantly easier to attain vs. SW... If you or anyone else is interested in Co-op MP, I'd love to show you around... But yeah, no worries at all, even if you absolutely detest the game... DBC
In BTHD (maybe because my experience with top down shooters is robotngun) I'm not afraid of any enemy, I wait formost enemies to get onscreen and then pick them off one by one, my strategy is undead-2
