Oh, this turtle's gonna ROLL you the next time he sees you... -------- By the way, Superion...there's one major drawback to the STK.F pack, and I suspect this applies to all team-bonuses offered by any packs: the player with the pack won't get the bonus themselves. This means that for the wearer, the STK.F-VI-00 offers no power, the H.F-V-03 offers no HP regeneration, and the Visnu offers no damage reduction. Additionally, both the STK.F and the H.F team bonuses won't stack, meaning that there's no point for more than one player to wear the pack per team (the Visnu's description doesn't mention no effect stacking, strangely enough). Long story short, there's no real point wearing a team pack into a match unless you want to enhance your teammates' attributes instead of your own.
Thanks for all the great advice Got the full Thunder set last night and just did a run in Lair Pretty good score with the M-27 so I'll continue until I can fully upgrade my M-27!!! Cheers
Ooooooo, scary turtle... So, at higher levels, the packs kind of become not all that useful? I mean, if HP and power are the concern, higher rank players with fully leveled weapons don't really need the extra, right? DBC
Well I camped up mostly on the hill in Lair coming down sometimes to grab power ups and I used my best of skills but could only get to about 320 kills before I died Very hard to avoid the spitters and in thunder suit you lose HP quicker than my Perseus head and hands, Andromedae legs and Cygni chest I got for the lair run about 130,000 gold which is not bad Any suggestions to get more gold in the thunder suit besides totally amazing gameplay where nothing hits me ever!!!!
Make sure you don't make the same mistake I made... Did you get the gloves, too? If so, you've got a new button on the screen, over to the right, above your fire button. Next time you have something large in front of you, press that button... Depending on your comfort level, with the Thunder set, if your M-27 is at least level 4, I would not hesitate to enter a random Siegfried... If you enter a match with players who either don't carry their weight or end up dying on you, you lose nothing and gain plenty by just finishing the initial wave and then bailing before Siegfried. OTOH, if you find a good team with reasonably powered weapons... Hopefully we can put get together a 3-person party in the near future, but with the full Thunder set, I wouldn't hesitate to start venturing into Siegfried's turf... DBC
Assuming that all three players have the same type of gear and weapons, an STK.F pack will sacrifice one person's power to add 20% power to each of the other two players. Given that the STK pack offers 30% power to one player, the STK.F pack offers marginally more efficiency in terms of total damage output from all three players. The player actually WEARING the bag is probably going to find it harder to kill anything, because they'll have no power bonuses from the bag itself. Some of the effects CAN be useful, even at higher levels, but it's down to whether anyone's generous enough to sacrifice their own power and speed to enhance the attributes of their teammates. ...oh, and all team packs are mithril. Save your precious crystals for something more useful to yourselves first >.> Capricorn, you've got Perseus-level gear? Siegfried and Double Rages should BOTH be very much possible for you to do -- it's just a matter of learning how to evade their attacks, and further upgrading your chaingun to pull out more damage. For now, practise using the chaingun with the Thunder Armour to kill things and survive -- your comparatively low HP in that armour-set will force you to learn how to evade and survive, which I'm guessing is what's stopping you from surviving for long on Lair.
First and most important suggestion, don't sweat power-ups unless it is exceptionally safe to pick them up. With the Thunder set, just camp, wait to get chains, boost on bulls, turtles, rollers, and sit. Second, try Siegfried. If you survive, the bonus is significant. If not, you lose relatively little, provided you camp. Again, if you notice you're the only player who has fired a shot or killed anything? Bail. Zero loss, much gain. On a team where you can't seem to kill things fast enough? You've got a team ready to take Siegfried on. Give the big guy a shot! BTW, only 320 kills? Not bad, actually... not bad. DBC
One further piece of advice with regards to camping on Lair, Capricorn: the enemies become stronger and more resilient the longer you survive, so don't try anything fancy as your kill count goes up. There will come a point where even fully levelled railguns can't kill some of the small fries in one shot, so when enemies start feeling tougher, move further back up the hill and start shooting sooner.
^This^ ... But more importantly... ^THIS^ I cannot tell you how many Perseus-wearing players I've either lost or watched using many +25,000HPs, simply because they don't dodge. Makes me wonder if they just saved, got the Perseus, and thought they were invincible... turns out, not so much. Go for Siegfried! DBC
Hey Drummerboycroy Thanks for the button suggestion... Didn't even noticemy M-27 is currently level six so what's up with me and my play style come on Capricornman!!! I did do my mandatory single run of mantis and PP and I got 4 more Mithril... Yahoo! I'll venture into Siegfried Take it easy
Thanks undead.exe Just a note I don't have the chain gun My two main weapons are WB level 7 and M-27 level 6 and I want to get my M-27 up to max power Thanks for your continuous help along with DBC is amazing!!!!!
Ah, a point of clarification: the chaingun IS the M-27B1 (could also refer to the weaker machinegun, but I only refer to the M-27B1 with that term). I just type that sometimes because it rolls off my fingers much more easily than "M-27B1" =.="
The chaingun is(I' pretty sure) the M-2781. Wait, WB lev7? Same here! @Enjoo umm I like campaign and miltiplayer and radar totally makes killing easy, I think that game is epic.
Note: I won't be playing starwarfare all that much(at all) but will be on forums somewhat, so PLEASE don't ask me to join a game, I don't want to let you down but don't want to play either.
Ah, getting a little tired of the game? No probs man, keep in touch, and we'll hopefully let you know of any interesting developments if we figure out some new tactics or configurations. Jump back in whenever you feel like
Considering my overabundant mithril supply, and my stock of almost every mithril weapon and pack, I say if you're running an escort, take me along. Seeing as my DPS is already shockingly high as it is (to the point my fellow TA friends complain for kills), I don't really mind sacrificing a 30% power difference for a team +70hp/s heal. I really don't mind. And to new escortees, that bonus health may be the difference from a successful run and a failed one. Think of it. A player guards the escorted player, one kills everything (I'm guessing that's me, huh?) and if the low leveled escort loses health, he camps with the guardian until he gets his life back. So, good idea or what? (DBC, Friday is fast approaching )
@Drummerboycroy I ran a random Siegfried earlier this morning The two guys I was with died pretty fast so I had to take on the little beasts all by myself Pretty much camped on the hill using my M-27 I got to the boss !!! I did it What a ugly prehistoric cockatoo with an attitude! I had a HC and got him down pretty close to death and then bang I'm dead Didn't even see what hit me Point wise I got total 230,000 Question: would I have got more if I would have bailed out on the boss?
I'm not sure you would, but don't bail yet, get experienced to siegefried attacks and when you can evade 90% of his attacks (Woohoo) and 2 of the players die you can bail but usually I don't bail when you have barely a chance at beating the boss.
