Server theories Actually, now that I think about it...has anyone noticed a change in the player demographic ever since the servers came back online? By that, I mean that I haven't seen a single player with non-alphanumeric symbols in their name ever since the server went down for a while. Similarly, did you used to see more players with non-asian names, Psience? Freyr's main website has also been down for a while, so I'm wondering if something's happening with regards to their actual infrastructure: it's possible that they segregated geographical regions so that players experience less latency by playing with people physically closer to their own location (though it still doesn't explain why I'm linked to the US server when I'm from Australia -- Phillipines is significantly closer geographically).

I've got no problem with the way mithril is distributed. The randomness keeps people coming back to kill bosses multiple times a day. This is a good thing. The benefit structure isn't weird. It's random. Randomness is clumpy. Humans are interesting in that in order for things to feel random to them they have to have an even distribution. Over the long term this is true, however, in the short term it isn't. Making things have an even distribution makes it decidely -not- random. Randomness means that sometimes you'll fight the boss a ton of times and get nothing...other times you'll get like 3 in a row.
It has been said many times here already. The drops are random. However after each drop the probability goes down. It's rare that you get 3 from one boss in one day, but certainly not impossible.

To be honest, im a little disappointed with the localized servers, but i guess it couldnt be helped for now. I have sent Freyr a mssg to see if there's anything i can do for now. But i guess now's a good time to spend on Summoner Wars. Sigh...
