That's nothing...rather than getting Mithril I've been receiving Mothril... It's much more potent and twice as shiny
Yeah, quick join puts you in a random room. I'm still seeing unusual passwords cracked, like 2113 or so. Remember, as simple as the combination looks at a glance, actually entering it in on an iDevice is a bigger hassle than it looks, so I can't imagine people having enough patience to try digits much more than 0-2. ------------ Edit: Also, point acknowledged parcheesy, just hoping to give some friendly advice if you wanted to speed up your gold farming, but I apologise if that came off sounding condescending.
Epic teamwork on siegefried. Both of my teammates were in the midddle of the field back to back(passing through each other occasionally) and I was kind of thinking, you're gonna die! So I joined them and none of the us got hit once(or they got hit by a wimp monster)! That is Soooo much funner than standing on a hill all casually.
Agree 100%. Now that I'm better protected and armed, standing on the hill in a party of 3 just doesn't seem quite... aggressive enough... If I'm soloing, sure, simply because I've got to conserve my focus and not get too wound up before the slog that is dispatching Siegfried, but in a party? Well... DBC
I don't doubt that both of you are correct, but wouldn't that be an odd dynamic? I mean, the whole point of having a password is to limit the room to known entities, so... To say the least, that would be an awkward way to do things on the part of the devs... DBC
I daresay that's a glitch, or an oversight. I would've thought that password-protected matches would be excluded from the "quick join" selection as it's a hassle to enter a password, but they might have put that in so that quick join will *definitely* plonk you in a match if one's available -- though yes, the way it currently works somewhat defeats the purpose of having a password... ---- Edit: Also, as to why I think it could be a glitch...the old triple-slash with the Cutter and making the Nova-27 fire faster than the M-27B1? Yeah, seemingly unintentional things seem to happen in this game >.>
Alright guys, I have a "good random teammate" question that's been nagging at me, and I apologize in advance if it sounds, idk, snobbish... Are you ever tempted to just bag out on one of the bigger boss fights when other players aren't using Hyperclips? I can think of 3 specific separate matches I played yesterday where I was the only one using HCs, 1 each of Siegfried, Serpent, and Double Rages, although there were many more. In my final Rages match, I used 2, no one else used them, and the match took what felt like forever. In the end, with 2 of us left, the other player ended up with the largest pay-out (although I snagged more Mithril), and I actually said, "You're welcome." out loud... I can't explain it, but the feeling of looking at my teammates and seeing the red HC glow is quite exhilarating, while being the only one HCed in fights at that level feels quite the opposite... So yeah, I said it. Thoughts? DBC
A great drummer & a great bass player , but substandard guitarist. Plus april wine has a better singer.
While that's not my own stance on the matter, I wouldn't consider it snobby, because it's a sign that people aren't pulling their weight. Hyper clips are time- and cost-efficient to both the user and everyone else on the team, and I think anyone with a 4 slot bag or above REALLY doesn't need enough weaponry and health packs to leave no space for a hyper clip. Generally, I'll stay in the match as long as the other players are at least using the Nova against the boss (though I'll be somewhat irritated), while anything above will generally leave me quite happy. Hyper clips and the M-27B1 lead to an adrenaline rush, but I generally don't expect to see that. I personally don't leave the match because hyper-clip users are rare, while freeloading pacifists and sword-swinging morons are becoming FAR too common these days...
Ah, you're back! All joking aside, and being mindful I'm off-topico), without NP, I would quite likely not originally have picked up the drums. "Tom Sawyer" was one of the first songs I heard that made me think, "I want to do that." Throw in John Bonham and Tommy Lee (it was the 80s), and a drummer was born! These days, guys like Dennis Chambers, Carter Beauford, Steve Smith, Manu Katche, Terry Bozzio, Chad Smith, and Mike Portnoy keep me interested... /Off-topic DBC
Agreed. Except for the nova irritating me. It doesn't because as long as they are using a weapon out of the three(M-2781, Nova27, Crab) I am perfectly fine. I don't think people NEED to use hyper clips,I use them and all but they aren't nessacary. One M-2781 with 3 hyperclips in the pack and you will be good if the other two players have weapons out of the tree or if you are lucky, the laser cannon.
As I've come to expect, I think you've actually clarified my position on this. It's not even the HCs specifically, it's the, "Is anyone else going to damage this thing?" feeling I sometimes get. I think I get a little glum when the monster's health bar isn't moving unless I'm actively shooting it... with 2 other players in the match. DBC
I agree with you in principle, but would argue that in random a player has a responsibility to the other teammates to actually do what they can to quickly dispatch a foe. Playing with friendlies? I have zero problem being the only HCed M-2781 in the room. But there's an understanding there. If you're showing up with an underpowered weapon in a high level match, you still have to do your best. When I see HCs pop, I at least know you're genuinely trying, even if you have an underpowered weapon... Something that bears repeating, just so we're all talking about the same thing, I'm not talking about Mantis or PP, or players with 1-6 ranks. I'm talking about Rages and Rank 11-12 players... DBC
Yeaaah, I'm generally not happy with the Nova because its dps is less than half that of the M-27B1 (1960 against 4118). The actual damage being done to the boss is only half the story for me: the other half of the story is how fast we can get the boss to flinch, because the more frequent the flinches, the less players need to stop firing in order to move faster to dodge an attack -- it just happens so that the boss will flinch when its HP reaches specific percentages, so the dps really dictates a lot for me (I can't dodge the Serpent's attacks without breaking my continuous fire, 5 speed really isn't enough mobility for me to do that).
Alright guys, enough talking about playing for me... I'm going to play! Anyone wants to play, I'm in. Otherwise, I'm going to try to find a decent random Serpent and the Rages match... I can't remember, but I don't think I got them yet today... DBC
I wouldn't mind a match or few -- Serpent and Double Rages requires at least one skilled player as a partner Edit: you want to make a room?
