Alright, Poison Pit next then. Again, 0110 --- Edit: Also, trying out something on the boss, I might fight sloppier than usual to test out the damage output
Serpent next, then. Same password as before. Edit: Actually, forget the password, I'm just going to use a level cap this time.
High-five, one serpent down, and you're now doing some SERIOUS damage output Double Rages next! --- Edit: Going to put a password on it this time: 0000.
Couldn't tell which guy you were, because you were both using grounded backpacks that time Alright, Siegfried? Same trick as last time (Password = 0000)
Alright, that's one test-run for today. If you guys want me to play again, lemme know ...also, yes, I too have a "light-saber gun thingy", as loosely quoted from someone >.>
Now that was an invigorating little jaunt... It's amazing how much easier Siegfried is when both players are firing their weapons. DBC
Siegfried is relatively easy to bowl over so long as you're patient, but I think I should stop using the laser cannon/M-27B1/hyper clip combo on him. I'm getting knocked over like a bowling pin myself with my carelessness when I do that >.> Epic improvement though, DBC, I'll have to start learning from you at this rate >.>
"Like a bowling pin." Awesome. As for the "learning" thing? Oh just stop. I consider you my Yoda, while I'm still just an overly impatient, aggressive padawan... Granted, a much more buff, heavily armed padawan... Bear in mind how I got to where I am... Much to learn I have... DBC
Can someone please educate me a little on this just the basic stuff, I got this when it first came but stopped playing because of the running out of ammo thing. Reinstalled it yesterday I've almost $10.000 so far. What should I buy weapons, armor, equipment the basic information as i'd like to start getting into the game now. Thanks for any help
What level are you? Did you spend $10? If your level 5 get pieces of strike/Titan. If your level 6 thunder
Edit: The following advice assumes you're quite a fresh newbie to this game, and that you're no higher than level 2 or 3 at the moment. WCFields, $10,000 isn't quite enough to get you anything right now, unless I'm reading the figures from the wiki incorrectly. If you want to make a good investment as soon as possible, I'd suggest building your cash until you have $25,000, and then buying the "Cutter", which is a melee sword that uses no ammo at all. The FLEE4AR assault rifle is also worth getting, but that's $150,000, and I'm guessing you don't really want to wait that long to feel some sort of improvement in your equipment. For now, you'll want to just try managing your distance from your enemies and figuring out their hitboxes, so you can get a sense of how far away you need to move to avoid their attacks. There are additional pieces of equipment and tactics that can help improvement your gaming experience, but finances of $10,000 would imply that you've literally just started the game, and it'll be a little while before you've got the equipment and dodging skills necessary for a higher level player to offer you a faster way of speeding up your finances. For now, just aim carefully, and try not to miss with your bullets. Also try to kill enemies one after another to build a combo chain, as this will increase the amount of bonus gold you receive. Also, try to stay alive as long as possible, and kill as many enemies as possible. Work your way gradually through the five difficulty levels of Frontline, and you should start getting a grasp of how to attack and dodge enemy attacks. You can ask someone on this forum to take you on a Mantis-run to speed up your finances once you've got some survival skills (even if you don't kill your enemies), because that is VERY much a necessity for a more experienced player to carry you through a boss run (the enemies will literally kill you in one or two hits with your current HP).
I went through the exact same thing, as have others. Started and gave up on the game twice. A poster named Asasnator encouraged me that ammo consumption isn't as bad as it looks in the first few days of playing, and here I am, loving this game two weeks later. After 2 weeks of playing, I don't worry about ammo... at all. Asasnator, when you read this, this is me publicly acknowledging you were right, and I was wrong. As to your situation, the easiest thing I can suggest is to take it slow, upgrade a Cutter to at least level 6, get a decent rifle, upgrade it a bit, and aim for getting a big gun, like the M-2871, and a mid-line armor set. The Thunder set is arguably criminally affordable for how powerful it is. Also, when you fight bosses, use boosts, specifically health and Hyperclips. If you survive, the pay-outs are relatively immense based on your expenditures, and if you fail, you'll have gained more than you spent during the initial wave alone... Lastly, try to run bosses with people willing to help you out... like, oh, I don't know, me? If I see you in a Mantis run, I'll do my best to help you survive. Survive a few Mantis runs and things begin to look very, very different. Survive Poison Pit? You'll end up another regular. Keep me posted, and let me know if you want to do a Mantis run or 5! DBC
LMAO... Or I could have just typed, "What undead.exe is now posting as I'm writing this response..." DBC
