@Nekku: Thanks for clarifying! So if I get you right, a complete set of armour (e.g. all 4 pieces of Helium Armor) does not necessarily give you a bonus? Instead the color of the little slots in the character overview has to match? Can you give an example of a loadout that - ideally - is not immediately obvious and gives a bonus? And general question: Can you have the same Void equipped more than once? If noone knows I'll bite the bullet and buy the second slot to test it out.
Having quite a bit of fun with this one so far. I think I will pay for the equipment unlock so I can get whatever gear I want instead of going through it all in progression. Like right now, my starter assault rifle is level 8, I'm thinking I'd just rather skip the next version that costs 90 mithril and save that for the next one after that. Whatever. This is loads of fun for free so I'm going to spend some money on something Is the PvP riddled with cheaters already? Seems Co-Op would probably be a lot of fun.
Hmm, I think I was wrong...again. I'm not sure. I've mixed up some pieces of different amor sets and it seems like the bonus you'll get is based on the pieces you've equipped. But then, I don't know for what the slot colors are for. Maybe that's just the rarity level? Would make sense. So this means that you can mix up different pieces to get different bonuses. The active set bonus is the one which is shown in the description. Yeah, I think that's it!
No wait, I think I got this now. Set bonus is based of on which color is in each slot! Example: G = green B = blue __________ GGGG = Beginner GGGB = Bullet GGBB = Energy Source BGBG = Explorer I BBBG = Greenhand GBGB = Boom BBBB = Seige I etc... There is also another color, yellow. Adds additional combos like BBBY = Deserter BBYY = Blade Storm BBYB = Fire GBBY = Stalker BGBY = Standard B+ etc... God damn, there are so many combinations and each one brings a new set bonus. That means it's not all about wearing the most expensive armor. Yeah, that's it! 100%!
@Thanks a lot, Nekku! I added a link to your post to the Tavern thread. For those who missed it, Acheron Bar & Grille is here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=244198
Some good armor piece combinations are impossible to get without spending mythril. I'll still hold out on spending Mythril until I've unlocked most of the gear/armor. I've just beat CerberLisk. He's not that easy so bring some potions with you. I also suggest to upgrade the second void (green) to at least level 2 to get the Dragon Hunter buff which adds a good amount of extra damage against bosses as well as providing healing capabilities. I usually use my upgraded sniper rifle for almost anything. Dunno, it provides high dmg output, is capable of piercing enemies (which is good cuz they mostly walking up to you in a straight line) as well as doing AoE damage on impact so it will also hit enemies nearby. The first three bosses are easy killable within 2 minutes at max. I really want to use other weapons, too but I don't see any reason yet if a sniper rifle is so op compared to the other ones. I really want the Energy Bow/Sword. It looks so darn good. Hope it doesn't need Mythril. ^_^
I just started this and I'm trying to 5 star all the levels and the 5th level in the 1st area says blow up 12 aliens with nami bombs, are those the bombs you set in the level of do those unlock later?
Yes, the ones inside the level. Don't kill the aliens until there is a good bunch of them and then try to lurk them into the marked area to blow them up. You have two bombs as far as I remember so you don't have to kill 12 of them by once.
Really enjoying this one... I'll be free during the day (central time) so if anyone will be free later, let's have a go at coop multiplayer.
Ign: Psience I think we need an add me thread for this, but im not sure i want everyone to check the add me thread to add me. Lol... Mom told me not to talk to strangers
