I don't really mind the timers per se... I NEED at least one timer based game anyway (though I would've preferred it be freemium)... What I don't like is having quests that cannot be completed without premium currency... Given that I paid money on this already, I don't want to shelf more unless it's for new content...

Bought this on Friday and played it over the weekend,
It's actually really enjoyable, especially if you're a Trekkie and can stomach some weird timey-wimey continuity issues, I'd say it plays like a cross between Star Command and Tiny Tower (or Tiny Death Star more appropriately)

The main problem is the crazy amount of IAP that is a hindrance in the early stages but gets totally ridiculous around the level 12/13 mark,

I ended up deleting it after I got stuck on the final mission of Sector 1 where I couldn't proceed without paying for 10 Dilithium for a crew lounge with no other option but to shell out for IAP Dilithum, not even the option of grinding to earn it...

Also the DLC packs for uniforms are set at a totally scandalous price of £6.19 for a set of blooming skins,

So much promise flushed down the drain by excessive amounts of IAP,

It's enough to make a Ferengi weep (for joy at the unmitigated avarice of it all...)

It follows that you would then be okay with paying $72.00 for a ticket to see a 2 hour movie, correct? Can I sell you stuff please? :D

You earn Dilithum by playing the shooting minigame :D

:p that's not what I'm saying lol, more a case of I'd pay more than £2 for coffee or sandwich which would only last a minute and then be gone. Just the same as £40 for a console game and it's done with in a few hours.
I usually find it hard to complain about much in an iOS game because the cost is so low in the first place. We live in a world where it's usually "you get what you pay for"

Yeah, I try not to buy console games that only last a few hours. That's why I mainly buy fighting games and shooters with multiplayer.

I have yet to see any Dilithium in the mini game. Drops there would seem to be few and far between.

And I'm guessing that mini game is ok, but not fun enough to grind OVER and OVER and OVER.

I also just picked this game up. It definitely had a nugget if in under all that unfortunate IAP. My problem is that it is so stingy in handing out do lithium. Especially since this isn't free to play!! Come on CBS, un-cripple this game and let the fun out!!!

FYI - I get a dilithium crystal drop every time I play the shoot-em-up mini game - sometimes twice! That being said, I played all weekend, I'm at level 16 in the 2nd sector of space and am getting bored with it. I'm a big Trek fan and love the sound/music, which is The reason why I will keep it and return to it from time to time. My overall summary at this point: It's worth the $3 bucks, a coffee at Starbucks wouldn't have made me smile so much, but if you aren't a fan of Trek, I can understand passing on this. Either way, without spending on crystals, my ship is bigger than yours. But why do es my crew go to 10Forward so much? I think my crew are alcoholics.

Agree with all, and I'm going to give a public hint only once because a paid game doesn't deserve these timers: you can "time travel" through the phone settings. No "airplane mode" (connection needed to run the game) just "time travel" to the future, go back to the enterprise, collect your rewards and "time travel" back to the present. You can travel back and forth many times, although this sometimes generated for me a space-time utopia in which I had 14/10 crew members available to work, or even a crew member who got stuck in a room. Nothing that a "force close" doesn't cure.

Read between lines and you'll know what I talk about. Enjoy! ;) I have already bought Spock. Now going for Kirk :D

It was a short-circuit in my brain after paying $3 for a premium game and bashing against a "need 10,000 command, have 500 command". Too trekkie to stop playing, too tired of awful long timers in premium games ;)

Beauty - I'm up to level 22 and really enjoying it but it may just have to try that to get Kirk and co. Top man.

It's probably extremely obvious, but how do I heal sick crew members?

The sick are healed automatically. If you want to check how long it will take click on officers tab on bottom and then sick.

Didn't realize that would actually work without screwing the game up. Will give Doc Brown a call and give it a try, thanks.

This just tells me I have no sick officers. One of the work rooms is unusable because the crew member working in there became sick. I assume I need to build the Medical Research Lab to "enable triage ability" but I'm 380 power short of that. Best go shoot some stuff.

Edit: No, that still wasn't it.

Any help please? It's getting a bit annoying having 1 out of 2 crew members "sick" all the time, and making one of my power generating rooms utterly useless, can't even demolish it.
