Per the Facebook page, you're limited to 40 "active" games at any one time. So you probably don't want to get more than, say, 50 friends, or you might not be able to respond to all your challenges!

(As for me, I'm getting "critical errors" on all my games for the second afternoon in a row and can't do any of my turns right now. I'd like this game a lot more if it would let me PLAY it more often!)

Has anyone upgraded their cards yet? When it says it takes 5 or 7 cards or whatever, do those cards go away or do you get to keep them?

An upgrade "consumes" all 3 to 7 cards needed (the more common the card, the more you need to perform an upgrade).

Keep in mind that all an upgrade does is adds two more points overall to the card's value. It's not really worth it for standard "Tin" cards at all, because the standard ones are limited to a maximum of 10 points total between all four sides, so an Elite can only bring that up to 12. Even the WEAKEST Bronze card has 14 points, by comparison.

Likewise, Bronze cards max out at 16 (18 for Elite), and the weakest Silver is 21. Silvers max out at 25 (27), and the weakest Gold is 29.

Certain Elites MIGHT be useful in a pinch, depending on where the points are added. (Shuttecraft Gilliam changes from a 5/1/3/1 to a 5/2/3/2, for example.) But unless you want to keep them for 'flip traps' or you want to collect them all, you'll win more games if you get rid of Tin cards and replace them with Bronze instead of trying to Upgrade them.

Thanks! I have 5 delta vega drakoulias and it seems like kind of a rip off that u have to get rid of all of them and pay 1000 credits to get a minor upgrade. I'll probably do it eventually to progress my collection, but atm I'd rather have the five. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. Lol.

What's the best card you've pulled from an ensign pack? Mine was a elite level commander orises.

I got an Elite Ambassador Sarek (Silver-edged, 4/8/5/8) once - my first and only Silver card other than the ones I've picked up through the deal-of-the-day. (The STANDARD 4/7/5/7 Sarek went on sale the very next day for 16 Latinum, so it somehow seemed like a little less relevant draw at that point.)

I haven't really purchased any packs for the last three days or so. Once I got to slightly over 200 cards (so I could run a full 40 games) I've just been hoarding credits at an alarming rate for reasons that even *I* don't understand. I'm at over 80,000 right now.

On-topic - there's a "Friend Code Friday" thread at https://www.facebook.com/trekrivals for people who are looking for additional rivals to play the game with (you get more XP and Credits playing against "friends" compared to randoms).

There's also another forum just starting out which seems to be locked at the moment, but there's a friend add request at http://appinvasion.com/index.php?threads/looking-for-fast-players.491/

(If I'm breaking any rules by linking to "add" requests from other locations, let me know and I'll take them down.)

Just got into this yesterday. I wish I got into it back in May when it came out, but it appears to still have a big community and I can always find a bunch of games. Very addictive card game and simple to get the hang of.
