Would have been nice if it was 3D but I'm sure for trekkies it won't matter.

Lol, but off topic. BigAlbie, you don't have to respond to this if it's too personal but I'm very curious: About how much have you spent on games/apps so far?

On average, I spend about $60-75 a month give or take, but this can vary depending on the volume of new stuff and my interest level.

Oh ok, so are you getting most of these new games by EA that have just come out in a flood? I know you got NFS and wrote a review but what else have you been playing recently?

In general yes. I picked up the following the past few weeks (all very good with reviews in the threads):

    Punk Justice
    Termination Salvation
    NFS
    Trixel
    WWII Alone
    Kids vs. Zombies
    Myst
    Caster
    Top Gun
    Dream Chronicles

I'll be implementing a rating system eventually to make it easier. But feel free to PM me with questions.

Ok thanks, I think a review rating system would be really helpful. I kind of like the Albie meter idea.

OK, I may put more impressions down if others don't, but I just played for about 10 min. on quick play mode. It has a campaign mode, achievements, upgrades, etc. etc. that will need to be discussed at some point, but general impressions...you can get a good idea of what you're getting from the screenshots. Pretty basic top-down shooter. Graphics nothing to write home about. 3 control options which is nice. The game on its own would be fine for a $1.99 shooter from what little I've seen. Do I regret paying more for the Star Trek moniker and ships/characters? Not at all. Going to the movie tomorrow. Had fun while I played, will def. play some more when I get time, and I'm sure others will put more detailed info here soon.

I agree. If you don't want to play the game before seeing the movie then wait for a price drop.. thought they might include voices.. aw well. :)

Man that sucks YPR, your always getting the shaft, well their loss I'm sure. It looks decent but I still have so many games I have to slow down and limit myself now. I'm pretty sure something like this would have a sale after the movie hype dies down, chalk this one up as another one sniped for now.

I thought it were some sort of game a la. Streefleet Battles(tm). Oh I see, the Star Trek(tm) tag alone carries extra US$3! What a cramped world of vertical shooters.
