It was hard work, but we managed to keep it under the 20mb OTA. : )

No kidding? Well I assure you, after speaking to some other indie devs, keeping it under 20 MB will do wonders for your sales...so long as there's no graphical/sound quality reduction to go along with the file size reduction, that's great.

And as for your post regarding float-falls only when you're shooting, that sounds reasonable enough, as long as it feels ok to play. You can count on my insta-buy for this one.

Float falls with shooting actually is more than reasonable. It's pretty ideal if the controls work well on the touch screen.

So now I'm even more enthusiastic to try this game out!

Haha...yeah, I know it's subjective. I've played a few games with float/parachute jumping and shooting and works really well in the correct parameters. I feel like this type of game with a sizable amount of enemies and and different leveled platforms will benefit greatly from it. The main reason I said it was more than reasonable is because of how it's implemented into the game...only when shooting. This will prevent us from having to jump to a crap ton of platforms just to keep jumping up and down to kill a couple of enemies. Also it's not mandatory that you use the mechanic.

But yeah... at the end of the day, it's subjective. I knew that when I posted my previous post.

I'm interested to see how the mechanic works in practice, may end up being a good thing. I guess I just subliminally had my heart set on an exact Contra/Metal Slug clone, even though that is not the prerogative of the dev. I'm excited as hell to play this tomorrow night. Wouldn't that be awesome to have online co-op? I know it's almost certainly not in the cards, but a guy can dream :)

I can't speak for the dev, but under 20 MB? I doubt it. I'd LOVE to see it added after the initial sales push though. Whattaya say, dev??

Hey Guys, The game will support 2nd Gen devices including the iPhone 3g and 2nd Gen touch. In order to get the game to play correctly we reduce the frame-rate on these devices. You will notice slightly fewer frames of animation and less environment detail but it should still be a blast! Play on!

Sounds like a good idea to us! The more we sell the easier the decision for iPAd, iCade, and Retina gets : -)

Nice, a dev who not only enables support for older devices upon demand, but optimises the game to reduce lag.

For doing this and even thinking of trying to make iControlPad support, I call you a legend.

Haha yeah, I'm all for co-op in just about any game. I can't wait to play this either. I'm really expecting platformers to bring it this year after an amazing last yeas, and this game looks like it's bringing it!

@Glitchsoft What iAP's are in the game right now if any? Not a fan of buying something then having to pay for additional parts of the game or guns etc.
