Thanks Nae! When we started putting this game together we set a goal for Console Grade Gameplay and no compromises. We're happy to hear you think we hit that mark. Time will tell of course, but we're confident you'll enjoy the gameplay on your mobile device with that same console Run n' Gun feeling!
iCP is an option considering it will work with the game's dual stick controls. Hoew many people do you think have the iCP? I see the website is sold out!
Great game, had already in her play, is now preparing a review! By the way how the application will be in the App Store?
iControlPad - www.icontrolpad.com bluetooth controller for iphone/ipad that either clamps around the iphone (or most other phones) or can be used separately for ipad. has 4 fire buttons, 2 shoulders, start and select and most importantly here...2 sticks. Due to its popularity only one game has iCP support natively, but it has iCade compatible mode so all iCade games work on it, even if the button mapping is messed up sometimes. I would definitely get this if dual sticks were supported, like i did with vertex blaster. Got a feeling this game would be great anyway but if it supports my gamepad I'm definitely in to support the decision.
70 freakin bucks? For a few dozen games.... Man that's a bummer.. Let's hope the controls work out on this platformer gem ....
Cheaper than iCade, and more portable. Was kinda made for emulators really, have to jailbreak to get the most use out of it, but there's a fair few app store games now that have kept me using it since 4s has no JB yet, muffin knight, vertex blaster, league of evil and recently terra noctis. So when you add iMame and jailbreak to get snes, nes, gba, genesis etc... game library is huge When 4s jailbreak drops I guess I can compare this with contra 3, got a feeling this may be a bit easier due to the virtual dual stick shooting, aim where you want and move in opposite direction of shooting. Good cos i suck at contra but like trying
Well, if marketed correctly anything can become successful. The iCP seems to be more of an underground peripheral. If a decent sized company got together and made a control case for iDevices that had side controls, I think it would sell decently well. I've seen a lot of people request (or at least talk about) physical controls, so... Having one that resembles PSP controls or Game Boy Advance controls would help out IMO.
I'm buying this game regardless of cost, I NEED a good classic run n' gun on my iPhone. Not crazy about the gliding falls (at all), but otherwise looks great!
Just went back and watched the trailer again, pretty much praying to god almighty that they fix those fall physics. Glitchsoft, PLEASE, PLEASE at least make it an option to not "float-fall". I'm gonna buy this game, but my brain will do a little frown every time I jump.
Haha...I actually like floaty falling when done right. Ayways, I can't wait until Thursday! My guess on price is $2.99, but you can never be too sure on the AppStore.
Don't think thats going to happen. From the front page description it says "The game has a unique mechanic that allows you to slowly descend from high jumps or ledges in the low gravity environment" meaning the game is almost definitely designed around low gravity falling so that you can make some of the jumps. I think its cool, makes it not just a contra clone but something slightly different, and possibly not as stupidly hard.
We we're thinking a regular retail price at $2.99...and an introductory, limited time price of $1.99 because everyone's so excited... Sound fair?
The float fall only engages when you are shooting...puts nice little twist into the game as you rain down your fire upon hordes of enemies!
Yes, it sounds more than fair, and it's what I predicted. Man, I'm getting good at predicting prices! Awesome!
