I'll buy this if it has icade support ! I know a lot of the other icade fans in this thread will also buy it for sure http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=96023
looking forward to this one! although im not quite tired of Hard Corps Uprising on my ps3 yet xD but this sure looks good... keeping my eyes on this one
This game is screaming for iCP support, which only comes with iCade support, if I'm not mistaken. I'm thinking I'm going to get one very soon and I would to play this game with it. Whenever somebody releases a GamePad that you snap on behind the iDevice to make side buttons is the day I'll be a truly happy camper. The only thing that had thrown me off of iCP was the controls are underneath the iDevice. I want my controls similar to PSP or Game Boy Advance. This game would be awesome on a setup like that!!! Anyways, I'm looking forward to this!
iCP has its own bluetooth mode to allow dual sticks use, as well as iCade emulation mode. as iCade is more popular most things use the iCade mode, only game i know to support native iCP is vertex blaster, which allows dual stick control. Also original designs had the iCP controls at the ends like you said, but was changed to allow compatibility with more devices instead of just i4 But yes a game like this needs iCade or possibly native iCP support (i can live in hope) and I will buy if this happens! Game looks great anyway so probably will buy without controller support, but controller makes it a must.
I got Pac Man just because it had iCADE support, I would buy this in a heartbeat if it was supported, I love my iCade.
How many levels the game contain? It's universal build? It support iCloud? 3 point to involve me to buy it!!!
The game contains 4 environment themes and 11 large levels, each with its own unique boss battle. Boss behavior varies widely and battles occur all throughout the levels. In addition to the levels, there are also another 2 play modes including a Boss Rush Mode where players race for the fastest time to eliminate all 11 bosses and a survival mode where players can battle for the top spots on the Game Center Leaderboards! Unfortunately we were not able to get the build universal or support iCloud for this release. If the title sees the success we're hoping for, we will definitely look into getting these features in. We should have a game trailer up pretty shortly!
Thanks for the info! I was wondering why that other design got dropped because it seemed perfect IMO, but more compatibility makes sense. I really hope that someone out there makes something like i mentioned because I think it would sell very well. Retro games seem to be becoming very popular on iOS. Personally, I don't mind the touch controls on most games or reto platformers like Bit-1 or League of Evil, but would really love physical controls for say SCB, Mos Speedrun, Street Fighter, KOF and a few others. That's why I was considering the iCP
Love the trailer for this ! From the trailer there seems to be a ton of variety, love the graphics, love the way it plays. Cant wait, instant purchase for sure
A) I will love this game B) i dont know what will think Konami people about it C) only for iOs? This game will perfect for psn/xbla/pc or even android tablets with usb pad
The trailer does look awesome. Only thing that I didn't like was that when the guy falls he "glides" instead of just dropping down. Seems a bit odd if that is how it is. Other than that this looks like a lot of fun (almost like Contra)
The trailer does remind me of Alien Wars which is one of my favorite games of all time, and the only Contra game I beat without cheating. So I'm excited for this but also a little nervous about how well this type of game will play with virtual controls. So I'll probably wait to hear some impressions, but if it plays as good as it looks it could become one of my favorite games of the year.
