The game has checkpoints but these only relate to deaths. If the app is cleared from the background (e.g. force close), progress is lost. Receiving a call, minimizing the app or locking the screen just freezes gameplay.
Chapter 1 gameplay and I also look through the menus, options, and achievements. I already finished the game and fully upgraded my ship here. In contrast to Sanuku's video, I chose to stick to the mission instead of saving my friends and that took me down a different route. Also, it's more fun to play with a controller (used a PS3 controller here). Touch works but that swipe to roll can get tiring. Either I am truly crap at this or I'm missing something... Why does the mothership keep getting destroyed in the second level? I don't have enough coin to upgrade and I can't get past level 2.. I must truly suck!
It's part of the story. Played that chapter again fully upgraded, focused the last ship, missed it, got 3 stars and it still blew up. That or it's totally imbalanced.
This looks pretty amazing. And barrel rolls. It has gots barrel rolls. Can't go wrong with barrel rolls. Can you change the controller layout so the weapon triggers are on the right side of the screen, and movements on the left? It looks like everything except swipe is placed on the left side(?). If not, please, devs, add this as an option (I'd rather weapons triggers on the right side even if the swiping(?) gesture is located at that side too. Either way, definitely a purchase here!
@Echoen: Funny misunderstanding. Now you have spoiled him the end of Level two. Shame on you ... @GPS: I had the same problem. Tried it at least three times, but anywhere in the near of the second "Yamamoto"-pistol the mothership got destroyed. Even though I was under the impression I'm doing good and shooted everything to firewood. Kinda frustrating when this happens the third time, especially if you don't know whats wrong. Apparently vessels you have missed are starting to shoot the mothership in your back, what I consider to be a rather bad behaviour ... To me the following did the trick: Go back to Level 1, earn some money and upgrad the guns. And then be careful to destroy as much as possible, and especially the Yamamotos as fast as possible. With the new guns I needed one try. And now guess what happens to the mothership after you saved it ... @TabascoCrew: The weapon specifications are more to sense than to read, at least on the iPhone they are way to small. I know, it's not that important, but nevertheless kind of annoying when you prick the phone whith your nose while trying to see something ... Another point: it seems that you have to activate the left handed steering every time you start the game. Not that bad too, but ... well ... just saying ... And as this is my first post in this board: Hello to everyone!
It looks to me as if the game is not running in the native retina resolution on iPhone 5.. Graphics look blurry and pixelated on my phone. Anyone else had this problem on iPhone 5?
