Here's the link: https://apps.apple.com/lb/app/star-diffusion/id1286669060 The interesting thing is while it's free + IAP for episodes in the US, it's an upfront paid app in other markets, but still contains IAP for what I presume are weapon unlocks? Not sure. I'm also not sure if IAPs are actually in the paid version too, or if they're just remnants of the free version showing up. I'm willing to take one for the team, but I won't be able to for a couple of hours...so...I just ask you lovely people stateside who can download this for free in the meantime...is that Fully Armed Plan IAP for $6.99 an all inclusive "unlock everything" IAP? It's worth noting that it's actually cheaper to get the whole thing in the US too, but until we can get some light shed on why there are different versions, etc. let's not pull an Apple Knight on ourselves and spend money immediately. Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,234 540 113 #3 Brightsiderus, Dec 12, 2019 Yeah, it’s iap for weapon unlocks. I contacted the developer. I mean, I can understand a publisher handling the release in the US instead of the developers themselves, but like, even the App Store screenshots and app description are different. Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,234 540 113 #5 Brightsiderus, Dec 12, 2019 Developers said that it’s their publisher and the X version is for Canada, US and UK only. Celad is a large publisher, while The Time Tunnel appears to be a tiny developer. I could be wrong though. Edit: The Chinese version is also published by The Time Tunnel, but I’m not sure if that’s the same link as here or a separate version. I just find it very hard to understand why these guys: https://www.celadgame.com/ would go to these guys: http://www.tttunnel.com/ and be like hey can you publish our game in 4 major markets? It’s really odd. Everything about this release is strange. Maybe it’s easier for them to get a publisher for major markets. Let’s look at the bright side though...we got full transparency from the developers presumably before anyone spent any money! Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #10 Royce, Dec 12, 2019 Agreed. Also worth noting, though I’m not sure if it means anything, “X” is listed as version 1.0.2 with bug fixes and minor gameplay changes post-1.0.0, while the other version is simply listed as 1.0.0. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, Dec 12, 2019 Great game so far, but I don’t know why there needed to be this much IAP in a premium gaming experience. There’s definitely no one-off purchase of all the IAP, and I understand that they’re essentially cheats, but just seeing close to $50 of IAP is a little souring, you know? I’ve grown up playing survival horror games (especially Resident Evil) all my life and there’s just something off-putting about knowing there’s a workaround for something that should be a core mechanic (resource collection and management). While it definitely does seem optional right now, I wish the developers just increased the price of the game (full game unlock, in your case) to a cool 10-15 bucks and did without the additional IAP. With Dead Space gone, this is the only game of its ilk on the App Store and I wish it was just a one time done deal. I don't encounter any pay wall here, you can just purchased the full game unlock and it is enough, maybe you can purchase a currency doubler to support developer I guess. I don't think specific mirrors go in specific holders. Wish I had read your post prior to passing that part. Would've tried to walk through it step by step. There's no pay wall in either version. Once you buy the game/full game unlock, that's all you'll ever be required to buy. My specific complaint is that there's entirely optional cheater IAP for a whopping $50. I'm just curious how much the game will be priced on Switch or PC. Yes, it's optional IAP, and the game itself is great, but I can't imagine them trying to sell it over 25 bucks max. Just feels a bit unfair that because this is on mobile, it's okay to have that sort of IAP in an otherwise premium title. Anotherkellydown likes this.
