Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems to take waaay too long to kill a single enemy once they've boarded your ship. I have 4 people shooting and it's taking ages to kill all these damn ants
Arrgghh! My good God - I am finding the mini game (lasers) practically impossible. I'm minutes away from rage quitting and never playing this again! I'm assuming this is because I've waited a long time to play and can't even finish the very first mission. Fast paced? It's painfully slow waiting for your laser to charge, only to miss every shot because you can't understand what to do. PLEASE help me somebody!? I think I'm supposed to tap when the little orbiting dots get to the circles, but do I click on the dots, the bigger circles they are orbiting or just anywhere? I've managed three, separate single hits in about ten attempts - unbelievably frustrating to be this awful at it PS: I'm sure the game is great, for some reason I'm struggling to get much past the title sequence tho...
You tap inside the bigger circles. You also have to try and tap them in the order they line up in, otherwise you'll run out of time. It's a bit tricky, I usually manage 2 out of 3.
You are supposed to tap when the moving dot enters a circle. For every time you correctly tap when a dot is in a circle, you get a hit. As your accumulate shots, the dot moves faster and faster. When you miss (tap when the dot isn't in a circle), you get 5 seconds or so to tap like crazy and to use all the shots you've gained. That said, I'm having some issues with this myself - I was destroyed at Venus, I think protecting that queen. I'm starting over now, but I'm confused about how ammo tokens work. Are there any other ways to get tokens besides victories?
Thanks Midian - do you have to hit them exactly when the dots arrive in the circles?... It feels like you have to be accurate to the nano second. I'm actually hating it because of this... blatantly just me being lame here tho.
This game seems so awesome. I don't mind the constant battles rather than resource mining because although those games aren't terrible, I always felt the urge to keep constantly playing. If I wasn't playing I thought that I was wasting valuable resource gathering time. Btw, random question but does the captain fight? Or does he just sit back? I kinda want to be the captain but I wanna be able to battle and do all the cool stuff and become the most ultimate crew member ever muhaha... okay ignore that part. Here's hoping it isn't short. Can't wait to try it!
For the machine gun you tap anywhere on the screen when the little dot is inside the circles to queue up shots, then tap the yellow buttons to fire. For the big laser, you tap the yellow circles when the little dot is inside the smaller circles to queue up to three shots. I don't know about any other weapons, haven't used them myself. I agree the recharge rate and amount of damage they do is pretty low. That's the first thing I upgraded.
I haven't been playing all that long, but ammo tokens appear to be separate from the tokens you get by winning battles. If something requires ammo tokens it should display a button saying "ammo" when selected, then pressing that will display a charging gauge. Once that's full your token appears. You can do this outside of battle as it's pretty slow. Yeah pretty much. I think it's supposed to be tough to the point where you won't get 100% hits every single time, so in that respect it works... Captains fight, as does anyone else you assign to the bridge.
The Captain can do any job he is assigned as (fight, heal, repair). He gets a bonus ability for each one which expands the radius of his effect. But if he dies it's game over so I hardly use him.
Well if that's the aim then this has definitely hit the spot! I'm getting 0% ninety percent of the time I was actually glad every time I was shot as it meant it might be over sooner. I eventually beat the first ship, I think they may have starved it took so long. Next ship coming up - I've put a m gun onion the hope I'm not quite so dire at that mini game
Another note on hull breaches: They stop "sucking" between missions so that you can repair them, which is all good, but if you don't repair them they start "sucking" again on the next battle. Pretty weird and kind of annoying. This is where an indicator showing hull breaches between missions would help.
Machine gun is MILES easier than laser. I've run some numbers and it's roughly a TRILLION times easier. Which tells me I must be doing something wrong - cant be this kind of disparity. I'm off to experiment more.
Also worth knowing, if you rescue the 'green girl' and a breach happens, which she gets sucked through, you lose the game. Funny But the laser mechanic is diabolical - needs a decent video showing someone doing it, I'm not expecting to get 100% often, but right now I get 1 out of 3 every 7 or 8 attempts. Not playing this again until I have seen someone doing it properly Have fun folks! x
The battle is inefficient and time wasting I hope the developer change the battle mini games.. I am right at the beginning of the game.. At mars what's the point of the repeated zombies attack.. Just once will do... Good game nice concept poor execution...
