Its repeating the quest you completed for grinding, so the tokens you get is random except for the specific missions. Like timer ones you get nothing and couple of one you get only preset.
Anyone spare some iTunes? Haha, I haven't really had the time to go out and buy a card. I really want Star Command
i believe its a bug, its just not on the black hole mission, its with every mission and every alien when they get on board your ship. they will do a rapid fire which will insta kill everyone and anyone. Devs, please fix this.
They said in their FB page that they had found the lag bug and that it was fixed on v1.0.1, along with other bugs. You should update. That's why I waited for the update prior to buying. After all the info I've read about this project, I know the game isn't what the kickstarter promised, but I'm enjoying a lot what it is in the end and I think that with some mission randomization and exploration, the game would be perfect. As it is, it's fantastic IMO.
I understand you. I've just finished my first playthrough on easy mode and I've loved the experience, but I see there's a lot more potential possible. Hopefully devs will get enough money from the game to try and include more of the promised things in the kickstarter. I'm on my second run now. Things are much more difficult and I (finally!) got invaders in my ship. During my first game I only got the Russian zombies. The rest were only spaceship battles. I guess I was lucky (or the easy mode did the trick ). I'll keep on playing to try and unlock the big ships. I got nearly killed on my first "yellow mission" because most of my crew got injured and I hadn't built a medical bay. I had to fight again and take the risk, but luckily no intruders the second time around, and got enough yokens to build the medical bay and cure the crew Btw, no lags, undesired closures or bugs whatsoever until now.
Gamers expectations are getting lower and lower, no wonder many companies push out crap and bugfest trash. (Not particularly aimed at this game, but if the cap fits..)
If you want to talk about low expectations, this is certainly not the best topic to do it in. Throw a rock and write it in one of the match-3/endless runner/town-building games, or anything in the "MMO Codes and 'Add Me' Requests" sub-forum.
This game is no crap, I can assure you after some hours of play. In fact it is much better than many might expect (me included) after reading the kickstarter frustration. Sure, it's not what was promised, but it's much better than many games out there, and it's one-of-a-kind on iOS. You won't find anything similar to this on iPhone. In my second playthrough, I've noticed you have choices to make in the story, and they take you through different paths, so it's not exactly the same again. I read that choices didn't matter in the game, but it's not true. As an example, I've been to "Moon" this time around, but I didn't go there the first time I played. I believe that I will get to the same ending, as it happened with "The Walking Dead", but I can choose some things on how to get there, which makes it a different experience. The shooting minigames are also great, and add to the crazy management you have to do when getting attacked by an enemy ship and intruders inside your ship at the same time. I believe v1.0 had many bugs (never played that version), but after this update, I have been playing for some hours now and I haven't found a single bug. So this is no bugfest trash, at least not any more. And my expectations for updates for this game are high. Of course, we might not get any more updates, but the game is a fantastic experience as it is.
Im having a blast with this, the update is very good in the sense that if you finish the game on easy first it serves as a tutorial, now im on the second playthrough on normal, with a bigger shp and more crew and while the difficulty has for sure ramped up Im already familiar with the gameplay mechanics so it doesnt feel cheap at all. The first time I played this on launch I got my arse handed to me on the second fight because I didnt really knew what to do or how to use my systems and I felt frustation because it was too hard for me to learn on the go, now the balance feels much much better, Im really loving this. Its worth mentioning I didnt backed this up on KS and I usually judge something based on the final product I got in my hands not on promises made before so im not banging my head on what this could have been and thoroughly enjoying it by what it is.
The update fixed the horrible lag/choppy gameplay and I like the way they put a lock on the weapons/dodge button when we have no tokens. Also how the 'ammo' button is greyed out when we have max dodge/torpedo tokens. Love the game, wish the campaign is a bit longer.
The update has improved the game 100 per cent for me. I had a sort of love/hate relationship with it before (mostly just frustrated because I didn't know what I was doing), but within minutes of updating I started a new game on easy and started having a blast. Then I went back to my normal game I was still playing on my iPad and was able to play that one better, too. So if anyone is still on the fence about this one I say go ahead and get it. I didn't regret buying it before the update but I am really loving it now.
Still no large ships. Wish the dev never said it. Large crews are good but I wanted bigger ship. Since their focus will be PC from now on I doubt if I will see them.
If the most recent update serve only to fix bugs, then does it mean we are still playing the kickstarter version? Can we expect a bigger update the next time around?
I think that aside from bug fixes, easy difficulty setting and changes such as locking buttons when the item is not available, nothing has changed. Check the devs FB page, because they're more active there than here. I think they decided not to come back to TA after all the kickstarter rage...
Update 1.0.2 available. It seems they adjusted difficulty settings. I have just finished my second playthrough and there are only medium ships available. The third game begins on "heavy" difficulty. I hope that future updates bring a longer story, or at least some more branching of the main story. The game concept is fantastic IMHO.
