After spending more time on this I'm still in two minds, on one hand presentation, music and the dialogue is good, on the other, the ship combat feels like it has been executed as a quick diversion yet it is the majority of the game. I do like ship boarding, variety of species and graphics more so than FTL, but everything else seems to have less to it. There's very little game going on or variety. I could understand if mechanics and execution were a bit deeper, but they aren't. I love part of SC, but the main essence of the game and the things you will be doing most of are seriously lacking.
Yea I ended up looking into it and found that it was present on higher end devices too, time to wait for that update I guess. Btw have you experienced it at all?
Will we see any updates for this soon... Or are they concentrating on android/pc versions... And any updates will come out after these are released? .... If so, we could be waiting a while for any updates
So on the one hand, the gameplay sucks, but on the other hand, at least it looks and sounds nice... Heh.
Really? All this post says is "someone found an exploit of the game, they posted it to a forum, I read it, I use it, now the game's no fun." Here's an idea; don't exploit the game if you would like to enjoy it in any way.... ? I found another exploit in the game. A way you could in theory just leave your device running with little to no management and fully level your characters. Should I complain that this makes the game to easy?
So when does the bug fix and any sort of depth kickstarter begin? Jk, based on sales the Coombs brothers probably can afford their own weed now. Star Command pretty much sucks and anyone that thinks otherwise is in denial. There's too many horribly bad things to deny. It's short, it's buggy, it's repetitive, it's not funny. Sure, the art is good. But even after so much time, it feels rushed and unfinished.
Why would I have to be in denial to say I enjoy the game? I pick up and play for 10-20 minutes when I have a little time to spare, I have some fun, and I put it away when I'm done. For $3 I'm not asking for a lot. Now if this were a new Mass Effect and I paid $60 and what was delivered was something very subpar, I wouldn't be happy because I would be warranted in expecting something worth my money. For $3, Star Command is easily worth my money.
Oh, we're playing that game are we? Fair enough, I'll join in. Your opinion is incorrect, and that my friend, is a solid fact, woven deep into the fabric of the universe. Nothing you say can unravel it and any attempts to will only tighten the weave, further cementing your position as "most incorrect person ever to have lived". Your turn.
This game wasn't meant to be an Angry Birds style pick up and play game. Plenty of people paid a lot more than $3 for this. Add a lot of game breaking bugs into the mix, and you can't possibly say this is a good game. Bad games can still be enjoyable, but that doesn't make them good.
after some long time trying to play and enjoying this game, my opinion is, this is a good concept but badly realised.
No one paid more than $3 for this game. It's the same price for everyone, set by the App Store. If you enjoy playing it, then it's a good game. Those are the same thing.
Just came here to say I really like this game. Well worth 3 bucks Just one suggestion : could your mechanics fix things automatically . You press a button and they look for things to fix . Please
That's not part of the price of the game. That was a donation given freely. KS supporters aren't even entitled to a free iOS copy (if you pledged enough you get the PC/Mac version free). Apparently what that kickstarter donation buys you is the urge to be an unreasonable douche on forums. The game itself is still $3.
Wrong. No one paid any amount for the game on Kickstarter. It wasn't even a reward for the backers---if you backed the game you still have to pay $3 for it, just like everyone else.
