Grinding sucks.. The one with the scout ship only gives u 1 red token wtf... I don't think this game encourages grinding
I was about to say something about this. I was really disappointed when I discovered that your ship cannot be destroyed. You just have to keep the captain alive and a certain alien to avoid losing. This also makes dodge and shield tokens pointless. I can see why your ship doesn't explode. You get blasted so many times at the end of the game that you would probably just lose if your ship was destructible. I'm just curious if there are any plans to deal with this.
well i found this game design fault (exploit as if) by actually loosing a fight the "proper" way. i retreated into the mg room and they kept shooting and porting , but the longer this went one the more the enemy damaged himself. there are not even the most basic checks implemented to avoid this like to check the area before teleporting in, and not spawn right next to a hole or a in a sea of fire. the same goes for shots, how often did the enemy blew their own guys up. its just simple random positions probably out of a list of fixed positions and that it. way too simple. in the end i wanted to see my ship blow up, since it felt like i lost, but no 10 rabbits in a room of a burning ship throwing stones out of the window still beats the final boss anyway still a nice game and hoping for quick and steady updates to improove on all the quirks
Stop that. You are making Star Command sound fun. Must... resist the 10 rabbits... throwing stones at the final boss... SO CUTE! Downloading...
I'm pretty sure they're all random so if you replay a mission for 1 token, you have a 1 in 3 chance for a yellow.
The game is running extremly bad on my iPad mini once I got a crew of then or so. Lagging like hell. Closed every app and rebooted the ipad, still unplayable Is iPad mini too old now? Had to play from the begining on my iPhone 5 instead which worked good performance wise, but of corse it's impossible to move crew members around quickly and accuratly. I'm at the final fight on both devices now. Does anyone have a tips on how to speed things up on the iPad mini? Already freed up 7 extra GBs and downloaded the app again...and rebooted the ipad serveral times. :/
The lag on iPhone 4 is also a pain! I really like the game, but the lag makes it hard for me to even do something. What I remember, optimizing the game for older devices was one of the main reasons for the release delay...and now this C'mon...
Yeah, And do they consider iPad mini ancient, really? I know that the hardware is basically an iPad 2, which is faster then iPad 3... Come on. How is this going to work on android?
Yeah...to bad I sold my retina ipad for this..haha. Hopefully there's a fix because this sucks. However, I love the game, it's awesome as hell....but a bit short?
If there wasn't an annoying arbitrary limitation over crew being able to handle themselves in a fight without trudging over to a weapons room first, it would be a lot more enjoyable to play, but I can't bring myself to put myself through my second game, because it's such a drag as it stands. And is it just me or does he game leave you to work out what the heck the weapon firing mechanism is, with no instruction whatsoever? My first three battles were spent trying to work it out by trial and error. Never made it to a fourth battle.
I've had no significant lag or slowdown at all playing on iPad mini, at least not yet. Haven't seen my ship get too badly damaged yet though, maybe it's the fire effects?
Love the game. That said it lags to almost unplayable on iphone 5 os 6.1 towards the end. End battles I had no fires, max crew, but with a few hull breaches and it was sluggish as hell. 2nd playthrough and it's smooth sailing agian
