Star command..... 99c

Paid full price for it and got around 8 hours of fun. Just dont expect too much.

 

After these answers I think I'm passing this game even on sale. I already have a lot to play, anyway.

 

So much promise and potential, unfortunately, it fell real short. It was fun but got old and repetitive. Honestly, didnt quit finish it, deleted it, and never looked back.

 

It's a good game for however long it lasts, I was disappointed that the promise of an open world exploration type game was unfulfilled. At this price I'd say buy it and wait till they manage to finish everything they started out to do. It's only a buck!

 

If they could only graft Star Command's presentation and personality onto FTL solid game engine and strategic elements. The resulting chimera game would surely be an all time classic up with the ranks of the original MOO and Xcom.

Come on people we have the technology! FTSC (Faster than Star Command)

 

I've been looking at this for a while but was discouraged by all the negative comments. Is this worth .99c?

 

Kinda wondering the same thing. But sounds like the most critical comments is that he game was over promised and under delivered. Maybe it sounds like if I go in with no expectation and not knowing what was promised..the game is fun?

 

Don't expect to much? How much fun do people expect to get for £2-3 these days
IMO this was worth full price and it's a bargain at the sale price. Sure it's not a deep sim but it's a fun space game anyway.

 

Just take any money you would spend on SC and put it towards backing Tiny Trek on Kickstarter. That looks like it will deliver on a lot of the macro level stuff that SC promised but has not delivered on.

Of course if you backed SC and got what you did, you might be leary to back another game, but Tiny Trek is looking quite awesome so far.

 

People were expecting for the developers to implement all the features that got them to back the game in the first place. Not too much to ask, imho.

Gee whiz, that wasn't even a whole day was it?

I suppose running a sale that short is just to get some attention on your game, and then people hopefully buy it at full price? If it works, I guess it's a good strategy. But I'm not sure if it works or not.

 

Lolz, you posted the deal yesterday i saw it, what...2 minutes after your post ? and then it was already back in full price. It was that or Frozen Synapse. My choice was already done

 

It was on sale since July 11, figured it would still last a day or two... aaaaand here we are now... oh and the Frozen Synapse sale is still going on.
