Sliding Heroes version 2.0.0 is out!
You can now experience our intrepid heroes' origin story, and the true reason why their princess must be saved at all costs!
Major adjustments in the game's difficulty have also been made, and Sliding Heroes is now even more fun to play!
Last but not least, the much-demanded tilt calibration option has been implemented.

    ----

Tilt your iPhone・iPod touch to move your heroes and save the princess!
    “Sliding Heroes” is here!

Sliding Heroes is a unique real-time strategy game where you “slide” your units across the map by simply tilting the iPhone ・iPod touch.
Choose from multiple types of units such as warriors, clerics and mages. Lead your sliding troops toward the Goal to victory!
A keen strategic mind and dexterous fingers are key factors in conquering Sliding Heroes’ 130+ stages!

    ○Game Modes
Sliding Heroes features two separate and completely different game modes!

    Original Mode:
Adventure through 30 maps, set within 3 stages: Brion Forest, the Labyrinth, and Castle Graceful.
Select and send units from 4 classes: warrior, mage, cleric, and lancer.
Toward the end of each stage, rescue the princess and escort her to safety!

    Endless Mode:
Navigate your monks through a hundred challenging maps!
See how far you can get with 100 lives!
While simpler than Original Mode, this mode is the ultimate test of your tilting skill!

    ○How to Play
    - Touch the character icon at the top right of the screen to send the displayed type of unit.
    - Up to 8 characters can be on the field at the same time.
    - Tilt the iPhone to move units around.
    - The map is won when one of your units reaches the goal.
    ----------
Sliding Heroes is a fun, fresh strategy game. [...] There is a lot of game in here, too. You'll hover over your iPhone for hours trying to chew through it all. Definitely recommended.

I've been playing this for the past day or so... and, uh, well... What you see in the video is what you get.

Well, this looks disappointing. Haven't played it so I may be surprised, but I doubt it.

...and someone crashed their car today, does that mean the same will happen the next time they drive? Square Enix on the whole are good developers, I'm judging each cases on it's merits... this game could possibly suck, but if it does I'm not going to make that decision based on a grudge.

That said, it doesn't look great. I'm babbling.

Yep, there's really nothing to it. You spawn dudes of different classes that have slightly different abilities (Clerics have more HP and can "tank" and Mages do more damage) then you just tilt your phone to haphazardly roll your swarm of guys in the general direction that you want them to go.

There is absolutely no strategy to the game that I've been able to discern. You have no control over your individual dudes, so making a well rounded party to have a cleric tanking and your mages/fighters doing damage is pretty much impossible. You just roll your guys around, bump in to baddies, and when your dudes die you spawn more guys until you run out of life.

    It makes absolutely no sense.

i thought it looked pretty good. it's definitely the sort of game we'll need to try ourselves to see how well it controls. i saw some levelling up which is always a nice touch, and i like the idea of the gameplay itself. it seems a bit pricey for 7 bucks, but i'll keep an eye on it for a future sale.

i'm curious about whether there's a storyline or not.

Actually I tried the lite version and I think is a good game. Is not a RPG and is simple but original at the same time

I'm hoping that they're going to port Song Summoner since 3.0 now allows apps to access your music library, but I don't think it's going to happen... =/

I didn't really like vanguard, or crystal defenders, and probably won't like this as well, judging by the video. Maybe if I imagined this was from an indie developer it would seem much more impressive. But because its from Enix, I'm not too impressed at all.

600 yen is about 6$. im not sure if that would make the game in the U.S. store 6.99 or 5.99
Im not going to say anything about it until I play it. Im hoping its good.

Squenix disappoints again ....shocker! Too bad if they actually gave a crap about the platform they could tap into a big market, they certainly can do much better. But dont care enough to put any effort into making something good for the platform.

I found their previous games to be a decent effort though found better titles for their premuim price. I really wish they would port song summoner the least.
