FYI, working on getting the Testflight updated with the latest. Unity's having some problems building it, so taking a little longer than I hoped: https://twitter.com/unormal/status/649324806534512640
Man I'm sorry I skipped this game on release. It looked too cute and simple, I didn't think there was anything to all the hype. Now I'm playing and the game actually has some depth, with all the "rougelike" and "video game character building" trappings. It also one of those games that plays really well on a touch screen, this sale is the perfect excuse to jump into this really cool game.
This game is super cool... the only real problem was the princing. IMHO at 4.99 it would be a huge success months ago...
Works great on my iPhone 6. I'm running iOS 8.4.1 non-jailbroken... However, other games like Marvel Future Fight and Fantasy Manager crash on launch, so who knows why some devices run some games and not others.
First time I've heard of a crash, maybe try hard-restarting your phone and trying again? Make sure game-center is properly launched/configured maybe? The testflight is up and running, if you'd like access to the Beta to test it out, send me an e-mail to [email protected] with your testflight e-mail address.
Hrm, yeah, the version once downloaded from Testflight is crashing even though it runs on my side beforehand. Thanks for the report, I'll see if I can figure it out and post a new build.
So most rogue likes just make me mad, make me feel like I'm wasting my time. High scores mean nothing to me, I like progression systems. But after grabbing this game I gotta say, it's a nice combination of the two. I love the persistent story and all the unlocks to work toward, and the little village to build up. This is a roguelike made for someone like me. Thanks for having a sale, glad I bought it.
How many hours of gameplay am I looking at? I stumbled upon this game a couple days ago and absolutely fell in love with the graphics and gameplay mechanics. However, this game is $15 in the appstore from my region and it would be great to get an idea of how many hours of solid gameplay this game delivers. For $15 I am expecting at least 20+ hours of solid gameplay as well as replay value to come back occasionally (which many roguelikes between $5-$15 do successfully bring). Thanks in advance for your input.
FYI, the latest Google Play beta now supports immersive mode: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.freeholdgames.sproggiwood This build is looking pretty solid, I'm going to submit it to the app store for review and hope it's the last.
It's an android feature for phones that don't have physical buttons. Without immersive mode support, the phones render the buttons on the screen, taking up screen space and making them easy to accidentally hit. People without it don't have a clue what it is, but for people that want it, it's super annoying to not have it.
