Not that I can see. You could use swipe controls, swipe to move seems like it would favor either side. There are a lot of customization options, just strangely not one to repositon directional pad to the left.
option to move the dpad is a thing the dev said they're working on for an update if I remember correctly.
The Identity Crisis potion is a great way to cheese the more difficult classes, like I scrambled my vampire into a vampire-archer-wizard which made things much easier.
This is the first time I actually enjoy playing roguelikes (I usually prefer JRPG). Its cute graphics deceived me at first, it's actually much harder than I thought. However, I noticed some lags on my iPad mini 2, and it drains my battery very, very quickly. Does anyone here have the same problems?
Thanks for the reply. I can trust your word more than most on this subject. After all you are our resident forum RPG guru. I relyed on your threads and lists long before Musgrave came on the scene! Lol. Wazhack gets 1.3 update on PC soon so I only hope it follows through to IOS eventually. As for this I will pass for now despite the game getting much love here. I can't spend anymore on games this month and still look my dearly beloved straight in the eye!
Actually, I've noticed that my battery drains pretty quickly when I play this game. It might be because I *really* like playing this game, but I'm a bit surprised that a turn-based game would draw so much juice.
I went back and took another look at WazHack, still can't see the appeal of that game. I would love it anyone could direct me to a specific video that really sells the game.
WazHack is a free download (with IAP of $0.99 per character class past "300 feet" of ingame dungeon); give it a download and try for yourself. WazHack has an huge amount of bless/cursed/normal/unidentified loot and is challenging. It's side scrolling but whenever a villain appears goes turn based. There are a good variety of effects (levitation, invisibility, etc) which are sometimes good and sometimes bad (i.e. levitation is fun for sniping floor dwelling enemies but if you cannot turn it off due to a 'cursed' levitation buff you cannot pick up items on the floor). There are many spells/wands and characters that are melee or long ranged - it also feels open ended in terms of combat options. Wazhack requires scavaging or you can try to kill and loot randomized dungeon dwelling shop keepers if you'd like (pacifists are free to just buy stuff). It's got pets. Enemies mob you, which gets pretty frantic as you descend - some steal your loot/clothing, others look innocent but are sometimes themselves buffed. WazHack has a lot of detail despite wooden iffy looking graphics, give it a shot when your done with Sproggiwood. [Hero Siege is another iOS gem that might appeal to Sproggiwood/WazHack fans]
Try YouTuber 'Mr Winter'. Episodes 59 to 63 of his Wazhack series show a good run. It is a time commitment though over 5 hours total video for a good run at Wazhack! My runs after many many hours have never rivalled anything like this. PS sorry for hijacking the thread everyone.
I like this game. Although quite different from Desktop Dungeons, it is surprisingly brutal for such a "cute" appearing game. Don't let appearances fool you!
I tried the free content last year and it didn't grab me, I guess I'll give the video of the deeper levels a look. And I'm not touching Hero Siege with a a barge pole, terrible support and very repetitive content. I've played Sword of the Stars: The Pit where a successful run can be 40+ hours, so I'm not averse to long running rogue-likes And on topic, what equipment has everyone bought in Speoggiwood? So far I've just bought the Coin, been investing everything in merchant quarters.
Please, I'm begging you please put a working iCloud save system in this game. Personally the only ones I've had any real luck is where you can upload your save and also pick the iCloud save to load. Loving it on my phone but can't stop think how awesome it would be on a iPad mini! No time to grind (I mean that in the best possible way) two games.
They're working on it, but yeah...I've been playing for months and asking about iCloud for just as long. I have it on my iPad and it kills me that I can't whip out my phone when I'm out and grind a bit for the same game.
