Was hoping Spotlight would bring the ability to scroll all apps on your device without having to enter anything into the search box. This way you would have a better (my personal opinion) way of looking for an app. Just something to replace the Springboard. I know most love the big pretty icons, but to each his own, right? Anyone else like this idea?
What, so you mean a single scrollable page showing all of your apps, like the 'songs', but only with apps? If so, yeah that's a good idea. I was hoping for some way of organising my apps, for example sorting them into alpahabetical, genre, most opened/played etc.
I wish the spotlight would search through folders on your iTouch also (if you have Categories on your JB iTouch)
The thing is that Spotlight that search only for apps, for also for songs and videos. Pictures, too, I think. So it really wouldn't make sense just to display the apps. I don't really mind. While it's not a big a deal, considering I have about 10 pages of apps, everytime I'd use spotlight, it'd take a second or two for all the graphics to load. Definitely get'd annoying over time.
As an option. Best would be a double tap on the black background when you first open Spotlight. All your apps start popping up alphabetically. Just a dream I guess.
Actually what would be good is to be able to organize your apps from iTunes instead of painfully moving things around on the iDevice.
Yesssssssssssss. This guy had the right idea. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=5555&highlight=moving+apps
I'd like photo search--even if the name and notes on photos can't be shown on the device (which I'd also like), being able to search on them would be great. (And include the photo's enclosing album and event names in the search, regardless of how your photos are synched.)
