I agree with adding Bruce Lee since it was announced for the iPhone before the iPad and came out on the iPad a month ago, and Legion of Amon certainly has vanished (concept art over a year ago, then nothing since,) as has Towers of War (announced a year ago as 'coming soon' with a gameplay video and everything, then when people started speculating that it had been cancelled about six months ago the developer reapeared briefly to say (again) that it was 'coming soon,' now nothing again for about six more months.) Mirrors Edge should have been out months ago as well, and once again missed an actual promised release (after the iPad release, EA said iPhone gamers would be playing it before the end of April.) Zombie Infection I don't know though. Gameloft has never said anything about it. TA said it was coming at the end of March, but Gameloft never did. On the other hand, since Gameloft has never said anything about it, you might be right. That might mean Capcom stepped in because it was so obviously an RE5 clone. I guess it may belong on the 'never to be released' list as well. Sadly, I was/have been looking forward to every game on the list at one time or another.
In truth I'm sure Splinter Cell and Mirrors Edge will come out as as well, but it's more fun to call them games that will never come out based on how bad the developers have been about updating people after teasing them with the games.
The developers of Bruce Lee: Dragon Warrior never really teased people about it, nor did they ever give even a vague release date.
That's very true: all the say was that they still had a lot of work to do. Which is why people were surprised when it came out for the iPad.
The developers did post a thread about it a couple months ago and they have released it on the iPad, so I consider that a tease. If they could post a thread about the iPhone version before even mentioning an iPad version, then get the iPad version out, most people figured the iPhone version was close. Ya, there are assumptions made in that, but so be it. I'm not writing a thesis or presenting a legal case, nor am I proposing litigation, so that gives me some leeway in the validity of my arguments. Plus, my point was the developers haven't communicated well, and the fact that people are able to speculate so much kind of proves that. Anway, people were joking and purposely being over the top about this stuff, and so was I. I have serious doubts about Legion of Amon and Towers of War, but I have no doubt the other games are coming.
The developers aren't even on these forums. And yeah, I know you were joking, but I'm just proving a point here.
OK, my mistake. I thought the preview thread a couple months ago was made by the developer, but my memory is terrible. I officially remove my previous endorsement of the game being added to the list. Mirrors Edge I'm sticking with, though. There's something about that one. I'm sure it eventually will come out, but until it does I think it fits fine on the list. Just to spite EA. I'll be happy when they finally prove the list wrong.
Alright, glad we got that cleared up. And yeah, I agree about Mirror's Edge. Just doesn't seem right.
Are you joking?! I'm gona' smash my laptop against the floor, kick the wall, jump out of the window and strangle the first person see, and then commit suicide. JK! Lol, no but I would like it to come out today.
I beg to differ. Everybody is saying "im not buying the game because of this delay. Blah blah blah" Believe i am pissed to but i can guarentee as soon as this game hits i will be buying it. Instantly
There is a perfectly good reason for the delay in this game......As I can remember no game that has hit the consoles has also hit iphone or portable console machines (PSP, DS, Iphone) in the same time frame. You have to understand that Ubi spent millions to make this game for the home consoles (PC, 360, PS3) and if it was released on the iphone the same day that consoles had it that could potentially hurt the sales of the home consoles due to being able to get the same game at a fraction of the cost. I think once the home consoles sales start to dwindle then Ubi will give it's sister company Gameloft the ok to release.
Well, i'm on the ground floor. When I read the words, 'Splinter Cell is out' I will actually fall out of my chair.
Games hit portables and consoles all the same time plenty of times. This game isn't the exact same game as the console version anyways. It has some similarities, but it's not the same game. I doubt that many people that were intending on buying the console version would end up skipping it for this "lesser" version. Sure it's cheaper, but you get what you pay for and Splinter Cell fans would want the full experience I think.
