I think we're all too relaxed to get onto the score attacks just yet Actually since I'm posting, has anyone managed to create 5 webs with one thread yet? Every time I try and set it up, several smaller webs combine to make a larger one, so it doesn't count.
Love it when developers are active on the forums. I want to download this so badly, but I'm at work and the file size is too large to buy over 3G! I'll be picking this up the second I get home, or find a wifi connection. The artwork looks beautiful, and I absolutely LOVE the concept. Very original. And based on the impressions so far and talent involved, $3 sounds like an absolute bargain. Finding games like this is the only reason I visit this website. Only wish there were more of them!
BTW Forgot to mention the music is interesting, one particular track sounds like I'm watching an episode of Salad Fingers lol (got that boards of canada vibe).
I'm going to have to pick this little beast up. I'm impressed with the movement animations. Looking forward to getting home.
everything about this oozes class really. if this thread isnt enough for you to fork out i dont know what will. even if you hate spiders this game will appeal. its simple to play and hard to master. also love the fact upon starting you get the games logo fading in and out and yer straight into the game where you left off. very neat
desperately seeking Bemopolis from the App Store?? Hey All! Thanks for the positive reviews in the App Store! However, we do have one user who posted a 1-star review due to a hardware problem he is experiencing. Does anyone know who Bemopolis is? We're sorry to hear about your issue. It sounds unrelated to Spider, but we will be happy to help you diagnose it. - Randy
Question for devs, looking to the future I know it is really early on but if this turns out to be a big success do you envision this leading to a series of games with different environments and arachnids suited for that environment? New insects for prey and a new mystery to solve? Thinking of the possibilities, they are really endless. A retired Navy ship or sub A run down wax museum An Entomology lab After all, every place has a history. A story that just might be untold.
I hate when reviewers do that. Usually the problem is only related to their device or they didn't take the time to try rebooting.
You're totally right, and telling the story of abandoned places was one of our passions. We were excited to show such a story from the unique perspective a spider has.
Whoa Wake the kids, phone the neighbors, someone had an original idea for a game! Everyone really needs to check this game out. It's the business.
I think I'll phone my neighbor's kids late at night whispering in my creepiest voice, "Spider: The Secret Of Bryce Manor is the Bee's Knees..." Why ruin the fun by adding in it's a cool new iPhone game?
man this game looks awesome. what a completley original idea! I really would like to play it but it is currenly a little to expensive for my wallet. I hope a lite version comes out or else i will just have to wait until i get some more cash
Frenzy is randomized within constraints. It's always the same 4 levels, but the population changes, as does the location of the bugs within the population. Hunger is the same as adventure/precision (in terms of population) but only takes place over a limited set of levels (I believe there are 10) which loop. It is the most intense, arcade-y, hardcore game mode. Where the Adventure is a relatively low-stress, meditative game experience, Hunger is the tense, sweaty-palms version.
Okay, fair enough, somewhat randomized with most modes and very randomized in Frenzy is good enough for me.
