Guys, it could just be a delay due to the previous event just ending, the new one just beginning, and both being a "Big Time" event. I'm sure that the correct portal will be here tomorrow. One suggestion I would make, which I just thought of seeing how I have the wrong portal, too: If you can wait to get to 40 Boss Kills until the proper portal rears its head, I would do it. I have no empirical evidence to say what I am saying now, but intuitively, I have the feeling that if you make your free Event Portal pull from the progression reward while the old portal is still up, you may draw a card from that portal and not the one you want. I would much rather save that portal until I have a supposed 20% chance of picking a duplicate of the 7* Big Time (Stealth) card than literally ANYTHING in the Sonic portal. Just a thought, and again, I have no proof. But I am going to make sure I don't make that pull until the new portal is showing.
Still no Event Portal, and I just want to shoot out a warning to anyone playing this event with under 40 Boss KO's: The official site seems to be down at the moment, or at least it isn't loading on my computer, but I just read a couple of posts in their Spider-Man Unlimited forum about people who have gotten 40 Boss KO's but not received an event portal. I would assume, of course, that this is because the portal simply doesn't exist yet. So anyone who doesn't have 40 KO's yet, if I were you, I would consider waiting on getting the 40.
If you earn an event portal, it will be there when the portal pops up. I remember reading a while back that someone had an event portal, but didn't redeem it or forgot or something, and with the current bug that shows all portals at 500 ISO was able to redeem it.
Your theory is definitely plausible. I, too, have looked through the 500 ISO 8 portals when they appeared, just to see various configurations of past portals. However, that was the first thing I looked for this morning when I had the full list of 500 ISO 8 portals, before I force-closed the app and restarted it. I didn't see the Big Time Stealth Portal, so that means it probably doesn't exist yet. Honestly? This is an incredibly easy event. I only played it for like an hour or so in total and already have like 25 bosses with 2 days and 12+ hours to go. So I am going to wait for the portal to appear before going anywhere near 40 Boss KO's. You are probably right, but I suspect that what you are saying refers to portals that you can summon, even if it is just with the 500 ISO 8 bug. On the plus side, Customer Care is very good about issues like this. So even if you never got your free portal when it does appear, they will send you the 25 ISO 8 to buy it with once you open a ticket.
That was me. Found an old Future Foundation portal I apparently hadn't redeemed. Plus, Kyle told us in one of his posts that event portals are coded to a specific event, so it'll match whenever it comes out. I'm willing to risk it!
I have the Scarlet Spiderman, but the game is not recognizing that I have it. Has anyone experienced this?
Because the time that mission was created, it was coded to recognize Scarlet Spider Epic only, so the rare version has to wait until the game updates itself or something
Yeah, some people are having the same problem with the side mission that requires 5* Cosmic Spidey and they thought they were in like Flynn with the 6* version, but could not do the mission.
Some quick thoughts: First off, I just wanted to thank Gameloft for such a fun, awesome game; probably the best Spidey game and the best use of the endless runner format I've seen. And I don't think I've ever seen so much new content for a free game in such a short time. So yeah, really impressed overall! Second, the event portal is live, but apparently I should never use event portals on the first day. I made TWELVE pulls (the progress reward plus eleven more) and I bet you can't guess how many Stealth Spideys I got: yep, ZERO. That was unlikely enough to be suspicious, so I checked the official forums, and a lot of players are reporting similar results. So, Kyle, if you're reading this, can you please confirm that the event portal has a 20% rate for Big Time Stealth? I'd really appreciate some clarification on this. Thank you! PS. It would have been hilarious if Stealth Spidey was invisible when you were using him. PPS. So, like, they'll run out of Spidey costumes eventually, right?
If he was invisible, the game will become heck load harder, which is of course, bad On a side note, android users dont have the portal yet, stuck in 39 bosses. Waiting till tomorrow for it, if it aint live yet, then Ill defeat as many bosses as i can and if i dont get to 90, well, im kicking in the next event which HOPEFULLY is a biff event for either Superior or Gwen although Im taking that its the latter who will receive one first and the last one being assassin or who knows?

Yeah, I don't think anyone is getting 20%. The percentage is actually a lot lower, at least from everyone reporting their pulls.
I think hers had Classic Superior and Big Time Stealth. Classic Superior is also in Big Time Stealth's portal. And the same thing happened to me. Like, 10 pulls with no BTStealth Spidey.

Okay, this is really fishy. Event portals have always had 20% rates. If Gameloft changed the rate without informing players, that would be lying by omission. Especially now, when everyone wants to get a Stealth Spidey as soon as possible so they can level him up during the buff event, so they'll be spending iso 8 like crazy thinking they have a 1 in 5 chance. And yeah, I'll probably save the rest of my iso for Gwen's portal, but I won't be using it at all until we get some clarification on the portal rates.
The portals have different verbiage on the Recruit screen. Big Time Sonic said specifically 20% chance, while the Stealth portal only says "A chance". I haven't bought a single one as a result of that. Caveat emptor. Saving my ISO for Gwen and Superior anyway; the rewards for this boss event aren't worth blowing my stash for a small edge. They should do what Marvel Puzzle Quest does where you can see the percentage chance of each character for a given pull.
I did not notice the wording on the Stealth portal. Whoops! I probably would not have spent as much ISO-8 if I had paid more attention, just in case. Oh well. Easy come, easy go. In other news, I just got rid of all my blue cards. I am now all purple and gold. Hope that doesn't bite me too hard later!
Yeah, that would be the "lying by omission" part. Event portals have always had 20% rates in the past, and the portal still features a picture of Stealth Spidey, which gives the impression that he's available at a higher rate. If the portal had said "Caveat Emptor," on the other hand, I might've thought twice. Holy cow. I still have a couple of my green cards. ...Sentiment, I guess?
Yep - very much a bait and switch scenario. If the two portals hadn't been open at the same time I probably wouldn't have noticed. More transparency is always better when it comes to freemium economies - eroding the trust of your player base is a baaaaaad idea.
