Put this together on my phone using the Diptic app so it's a little messy. And I had four star level one versions of Noir, Armor, and Last Stand, but accidentally fed them to my Spider-Man 2099 when I meant to feed him one star versions. Oops! I had 220k vials and nothing to buy, plus some empty slots thanks to a bunch of upgrades finally using up my excess blues, so I figured "why not?"... That's why there are random level ones with three stars.

I've logged over 300 hours in this game already...!

Force quit the app, restart your device, try checking again. If still no reward contact customer care and tell them what you lost and what steps you've taken so far. They've always made me whole when things go wrong. Definitely frustrating, but at least there's an option to get back what you lost.

Bleh, I hope that was a pretty isolated incident? I've only seen what people posted here. But grats on the score! I'm guessing from your vial total that it didn't end in a "great run" forced ending?

Man that 11 vial VIP portal pretty much just ruined the brackets lol, now the people in the countries that got it have a massive advantage over everyone else

Yep. Gameloft is really going to have to do something major to address this. The players with the glitch just got more for free than everyone who ever paid money for the game. I'd be pretty irate right now if I were an IAP player. As for the rest of us, why should we bother trying in a game where random players are given more in five minutes than we earned in a month of playing our best. And yeah, there's no way to fairly compete on the leaderboards now that the affected players will have teams stacked entirely with rank-6 epics, so they'll keep raking in more Iso-8 and rare cards while the rest of us lose any fair chance at rewards.

I have no idea how Gameloft can fix this, but I hope they come up with something.

@dafalcon: thanks, no, i have not ever been able to go beyond killing the fourth boss. Maybe soon

@justin: i am in one of the coutries which get the events in the first go much before everyone else. In my group of 1000 people i havent seen anyone rise dynamically as such. I was at rank 24 12 hrs back and and am rank 36 right now and i havent done a single run in the last 12 hrs. I think the 11 vials was a shortlived limited bug, though, i wish i could have gotten it, lol.

Yeah this is a seriously bad issue that really has the potential to push a lot of lower ranked players, in particular, away from this game. I have one 5 star Soidey at level 52 and a whole bunch of low ranked 5 and 6 stars without the requisite duplicates to rank up.

That combined with my lower level skills means my high scores are between 200K and a little over 300K. So my chances of ranking high enough to get any substantial in-game-incentives were already low before this. Now, I can just roll my eyes and forget about it.

Honestly, from everything I see, this game's rewards and unlocks so blatantly favors people who have been playing since the game launched that it comes across quite biased to the point of being off-putting.

same position as me pretty much. I am hoping to get some more premium portals for free in order to rank up some of my lvl 10 spidey's.

As for the daily unlimited runs, I am keeping my score low at the moment so I can get the 3 ISO 8 on the daily task when it comes up. I am never going to get any of the decent rewards, so I'll take 3 ISO 8 over vials...

Wait, I don't understand something: You said you are keeping your score low on purpose for the 3 ISO 8 reward given for completing the daily goal? So this means they are mutually exclusive? Meaning you can't get the 3 ISO 8 if you score high on the daily ranking in Unlimited mode?

Can you simply circumvent this by getting the goal first? That's what I usually do anyway, because I have very little ISO 8 and keep spending what little I acquire on the half-price premium pull every day. Last night I was down to like ZERO ISO 8 after doing a Premium Pull for 12 (instead of 25) yesterday and was worried I would have to start skipping the daily Premium Deal or doing them only every few days starting whenever I built up some ISO 8. Thankfully the latest event, "A Living Legend" was really fast and I was able to get to 120K meters quickly. This netted me a total of 22 ISO 8, plus my 3 from today's Goals, 2 from a short Vulture mission, and one from the golden idiot I killed.

So now I have enough to do a premium pull today and tomorrow, and MAYBE the day after that, if I get a few more crystals.

Honestly, this game is starting to feel a little like a grind. I finally have my 5 star Spidey leveled up to level 58, but I cannot seem to pull my fifth Electroproof Spidey. So that card is going to stay stuck at 4 stars until I do. I just looked at all the cards available for the premium pulls and it looks like I have a 1 in 18 chance of pulling my last Electroproof. THough I suspect the odds are a little better since 7 of the 18 cards in the Premium Portal are purple Rares (6 stars). Although, I would seriously take another Scarlet Spider! Currently the only 6 Star card I have that is ranked up a little is Scarlet. That one is at 3 stars.

Yeah, I apologize for all my bitching, but this game is starting to feel like a real grind.

^Mess meant he keeps a low high-score in unlimited mode, so he can complete the "beat your high-score in unlimited mode" goal each time. He's saying he doesnt have the multipliers to get competitive and try for the high-tier goals, so he chose to go for a consistent 3 ISO-8 per day rather than score half-baked in unlimited mode and just get vials, which would potentially make the "beat your high-score" goal impossible.

And i never pulled a Scarlet Spider yet, despite having 4 Lv90 epics already, and some level 5s as well.

Right now, the rewards for the casual player are as good as they get. Casual player = me, because I only play for like 15-20 runs a day at most. And I have been playing since day 2 of the US release.

    - Progression rewards in the events are achievable for the casual player over the 2-3 days of an event. I mean 5000 combos across 2 days, 120,000 meters across 3 days, 20000 vials across 2 days, etc., etc.. I have been hitting all of the max progression rewards every event now.
    - The unlimited leaderboard rewards are as good as they get.
-- 50 ISO-8 used to be the silver medal award, now it's the bronze. I've only been able to get bronze medal rewards (I have like 29 bronze, nothing else, so many days I don't even get any of the medals!!!)
-- The 4th place prize is now a premium portal (25 ISO-8) where it used to be like 5-10 ISO-8 or a standard portal.

Other improvements, you can have more than 5 spidey energy in your mailbox now (anyone else notice that) whereas before you could only have 5 mailbox energy for any 1 game day.

Ah, I wish I had known about this. My high score in Unlimited runs is certainly low, at 248K, but is is high for me. I hit a brick wall once I got to issue 3. No matter how many times I try to practice or learn the various patterns, I can no longer get past even one boss. The game just goes way too quick and my swipes are simply not fast enough once the game is going at a decent speed, usually once I start getting around 200K, particularly dealing with all the boss thrown obstacles, the discs you hit at them, and all the other crap thrown at you in the environment.

So are you saying that if I beat my high score in Unlimited Mode that I will get 3 ISO 8? Because I don't remember ever getting that reward for this, and I beat my previous high score yesterday twice. Before yesterday I was at the low 200K's.

I pulled two so far. Interesting fact: They come with 2 stars fresh from the portal, which is a nice start. So mine is now at 3 stars (since I fused my second pull) I think I said 2 stars above, but meant 3.

Yeah, that is one aspect of the game that is friendly toward lower end players like me. I, too, have gotten every single reward from every event since I started playing them.

If only I could get past 48% in Issue 3, but its just too hard. I think I hit the upper level of my skill in this game, and I don't seem to be getting any better. The only reason my scores are increasing is because I am leveling up my 5 star Spider-Man, my 4 of 5 star Electro, and I have my four star Spider-Armor at level 50. So my scores are creeping up little by little, but it isn't because of skill at all, but because of leveling up.

Yeah, I am nowhere near Bronze on ANYTHING in this game and have never gotten any medal. Today's daily leaderboard, for instance, has me at position: 11,809 with a score of 158,824.

Bronze is between 100-999th place, so yeah, good freaking luck to me with that!

@chiro - EP was right. It seems like every day my daily goal is 'beat your high score on unlimited run', so I just keep my score there purposely low. For example yesterday I needed to beat 80k, so I ran to 81k and then ran into a pipe. Therefore getting 3 ISO8.

I reckon I could get around 400-500k if I got lucky now I have 4 spots on my team.

Also have you gone through the other two episodes to get the ISO8 from them?

Completely agree. This game is generous and getting better, but, so is the competition. Nonetheless, this game gives a good opportunity to even non paying players to perform and get good rewards.

I am a non paying player (i did spend 5$ a few days back just as a token of appreciation) and have both the epic scarlet spideys at six stars already. Have a multiplier of 41 and can get easy 50 iso8 reward any day.

Well, I have to give credit to customer support!

Instead of sending me an Event Portal, which would be at best a 4 Star Spidey, they sent me 25 ISO 8. In my position, I REALLY REALLY need it! lol yesterday I had 2, and now I have 55 (thanks mostly to the latest event and customer care!)

Honestly, you can say what you want about this game and issues in it, but you have to really tip your hat to the customer care department.

Right now, my biggest complaint about the game is really that I suck at it, which isn't the game's fault. I just can't seem to get any better at this no matter how many runs I do. I reached a certain point, and that seems to be that. But again, I can't blame the devs for my sucking. lol

I don't remember ever getting that goal for 3 ISO 8, to be honest. Most of the times I get tings like "Slide into X amount of Enemies," "Defeat X Amount Of Enemies," "Websling through X Amount of Enemies," "Hit X Amount Of Rings," etc.

I will just share what i did.
Till three weeks back my multiplier was around 14-19, at that time i used to never bother with the daily, instead used to do what mess is doing.

It takes time and patience. Atleast thats bow it has been working for a non paying player like me

Two weeks back, my multiplier was around 30ish when i managed to make 2 5* spideys, at this time, i was trying to aim as high as possible and was getting a daily event portal free from the dailies by landing within the 9999 rank.

Since the last 4 days, after getting a bit too lucky, and managing to complete 2 6* spideys, and with a multiplier of approx 40 i am hitting top 1000 and getting 50 iso8

Next target is to try and get 4 6* spideys, and spend around 3-7 iso8 and see if i can manage a top 100 rank, but i am in no hurry atm.

To have a chance at the good unlimited run rewards, you have to complete Issue 3. I only had a shot after I finished issue 3.

REMEMBER THIS: The story mode levels do not get any faster because there is no score.

Because there is no score, play the story mode levels SUPER SAFE. Do not try to get near misses, do not go out of your way to kill enemies (obviously kill the ones that are in your way), etc..

Get to the boss and be selective to which SHIELD discs you attack.

Same thing for the side missions. Play super safe and go for the easy to collect items (the intel or med kits) and the easy to kill enemies.

After you unlock the additional team spot, THEN you have a chance to consistently place at the 1000-9999 tier to get the premium portals every day (FYI, from my experience a safe score is 300-400,000+). Then after that, it will be aiming for the bronzes (ranks 100-999, safe score in my experience is 2.5-3 million).

FYI, unlike some of the top players on this thread, I have never scored a silver, and have only had 1 great run ending (which takes too long for me... like 30-35 minutes of play).

It's a grind, but if you play very carefully to unlock episode 3, you'll make it.

Those are some good Tips :) I have a 5* OG Spidey that is almost at lvl 70. just waiting on some duplicates to come through the premium portal to decide which one I will do next

    Great advice, thanks.

Right now, I am stuck on Behind Enemy Lines, the mission where you have to collect 18 pieces of intel. The problem I am having is not the speed Spidey moves. As you said, that is constant, AND it isn't really that bad. The problem is that I have tried it maybe 30 times already (which really sucks with limited energy) and even though Spidey moves at a reasonable speed, things get tossed in front of him way too fast and too last second.

Between the barriers shifting and reorienting themselves, the unpredictable appearances of the lasers that fry you, the platforms that sometimes have ramps but that I keep slamming into anyway when I jump from one to the other, and the enemies changing position, its all way too much to try to keep track of, whether I am playing it safe or being aggressive.

Having to wait for energy makes it even worse, because I can't get any real practice in.

I think this is a great game, but if I don't get a lot better at it fast then I am going to give up and delete it.
