I like this game enough that I would purchase ISO 8 for real money (even though I still suck at it). I keep going into the menu for IAP hoping that they have lowered the prices, but sadly they haven't, so no deal! lol No way in hell would I pay anything close to $4.99 for 26 ISO 8. Seriously, Kyle, have you spoke to the team about the revenue stream they are denying themselves with the price structure? I can't imagine that people would even impulse-buy the ISO 8 at your prices. I make good money and I roll my eyes every time I see your prices. Seriously, are you guys actually selling any IAP packages to people?
True, and I agree. The suits themselves are really just cosmetic, other than the tangential abilities built into them to give slight advantages only in marginal ways. Otherwise, as you say, the game would be severely broken. That said, the other points he brings to the table are all valid. The game really is not "welcoming" to newer players like myself who are still at low levels of leveling up. The game seems to reward only the best players and withholds the best awards from the struggling players. Honestly, in many ways, the balance should be tipped toward those who need it, not those who already have huge advantages.
I try not to buy overprized stuff either but last week, the customer service went out of way to help my endless issues. I had lik 5 complaints, maybe more and they resolvd each and everyone. I felt kinda bad later that i was getting so pissed when they have been more than prompt to help me out. Thus, i went out and as a token of appreciation bought the logically lowest offered iso8 pack. Yes, back to the point, i completely agree that the iso8 are very expensive and need to cut down a bit.
I hear you. And I get that they have been doing great work with regard to customer service, and appreciate that. You know what my feeling about it is, though? I buy plenty of things that are overpriced. I am an avid cyclist, and recently bought a $4,000.00 bicycle, a Scott Foil 30. I love Corvettes, and routinely pay over $50K for a new one every few years. But when I am cycling on my brand new, carbon fiber, high end road bike, or tooling around at 140 miles per hour on a track I pay by the hour for sometimes, I don't feel stupid, like a sucker. I am all for supporting developers, believe me, and I would buy a token pack just as a "thank you." But I hate feeling like I am being taken complete advantage of. It isn't the money, to be honest. It's the feeling that I am stupid for buying IAP's that will add very little to my game experience. lol At least give me SOMETHING for my money...or at least pretend you are trying. Hahahaha Don't ask me to bend over and the proceed to penetrate me without even a little lubricant.
Maybe my post was somehow sent to gameloft. LOL The change in daily leaderboard make me play more than ever and my highest score finally went up.(from 600k to 2.4m) after being loser a few days. I spend a 2-3 days doing this. so i can easily get bronze daily reward ,all reward from event and sometimes award for event winner. I think the game want player to improve step by step. everyone start from low rank spidey ,upgrade them while take a look for rare or epic one and do it over again to upgrade the higher rank. It consume amount of time, but it worth. just patience Yes it is but the real problem wasn't this 1st , too much score different for same reward If 4m score and 400k score get the same reward , who want to spend more time doing 4m? I quiet impressive that gameloft put 100-999 reward today. 2nd , too much different in reward for daily, bronze medal get premium portal but the lower get only the standard portal. It wasn't hard to obtain premium portal but for low level player, it is big different someone who get premium portal can reach more multiple score while loser stuck at 4*(or low level rare/epic spidey) maybe 3-5 iso-8 reward would give more hope to these player more hope than standard portal 3nd , Limited run If it was truly unlimited run , free player may be win against player who buy things if they have more control skill and run longer. but this game make player trying to do highest score in limited distance ,so player with high multiple score get more adventage. it turn out to be 'the more you pay , the higher rank you get' PS my english isn't good, so i apologize if it hard to read
^Not really pay to win. Sure the ones who play for free will progress significantly slower than those who powered their rank up through IAPs, but eventually, the free to play players will catch up. I only spent $0.99 on this game, and i have only missed out 2 times on the first rank in events. Everything else i got 1st on the events. That said, im pretty sure i have stomped on some of those who actually payed a lot on IAPs. Eventually i got my 4 level90 characters, in which i consistently get what i aim for (except top 10) in unlimited mode. What i like about the run limit (oh the irony) is that eventually, everything balances out, and it boils down to skill and a little bit of luck. It will be a slower process for free-players, but they will catch up. Just like i did.
Oh yeah, I am very grateful for the limit to the run at this point. As it is, it takes about 30 minutes for a complete "unlimited" run, which is a long time especially if you wind up with a lower score than your goal because of the random elements of the game and then have to do it all over again. Without any limit ("great run") then the top scores would just be dominated by kids who can afford to play an eight hour run every day (unless Gameloft just ramped up difficulty to impossible levels, which would be more annoying than a solid, predictable "end") and that would stink.
Yeah, I contacted customer care, as suggested, and they wanted me to send them a screenshot of the reward progression....
I contacted Customer Support as well, and they sent me these instructions to get my Event Portal from a previous event I never received, but I am not sure how to follow them, and I have NOT heard from customer support after I responded with questions. They said: "Hello! Thank you for contacting Gameloft Customer Care. We're sorry to hear about your difficulties. This could be caused due to a synchronization error. In order to fix the problem, please follow these troubleshooting steps: Log out of your account. Force close the application. Turn off your device for one or two minutes. Turn on your device and re-launch the game. Log into your account. Go to Inbox/Recruit screen Restart your wi-fi and check if the problem is solved with both wi-fi turned on and turned off. Please let us know about the outcome. We'll be waiting for your response. Best regards," How do I log out of my account? I went through every in-game menu and could NOT figure out how to log out of my Gamesloft account. Did they mean to log out of Facebook and Game Center? (not sure how to log out of Game Center either!) I am also not sure how to force close an app on my iPad. The only way I know of to close an app is to double tap the home button and swipe the app I want to close up.
@ChiroVette - must by GC and FB, maybe just gc. To log out of it you have to go into the settings menu and scroll down to the GC specific area. You can log out by clicking in the account I think. As for FB no idea. Regards closing it, I guess that's what thy mean...
He is. Although I'm unreasonably disappointed that he doesn't have his web cape. (And at his lackluster abilities. Bulletproof is still my favourite for awesome combo-stacking.) Yeah, I came to the same decision once I reached a high enough level to get bronze medals from the leaderboards. Free premium portals are better than 3 iso-8. And now I'll be trying even harder since they made 50 iso-8 more achievable! But yeah, it's a shame we can't get the daily goals at the same time. Please improve the daily goal rotation, Gameloft! (I've had the same ones 6 days in a row now.) Also, is anyone else seeing the mechtopus a lot more often in unlimited mode lately, or is it just me? Not that I'm complaining, since that's by far the coolest boss in the game.
From what i've noticed, boss placements are fixed for each day. If mechtopus shows up as the second boss for me, he'll always be the second boss for the rest of the day.
I had no idea that the 999 rank slot rewards are back. Thanks for the post. I just put in 2.1 mill on my daily score, i hope this fetches me the 50 iso8 reward, coz if this doesnt then i dont think i will be able to beat my score, atleast not today. Still levelling all my 4 spideys on my slots, so, its kinda tough and time taking.
Mechtopis was second boss for me in one run, then a few runs later i came up against goblin as second boss. I think its all rng.
Not on mine. Over 10 runs yesterday, he was always the second and the 5th boss. If it was all random then it'd break game balance. It is hard as hell to keep a combo going on in mechtopus fights, and the no mechtopus run for a different player will have an easier time getting higher scores.
Gameloft, THANKS for offering the 50 ISO-8 at the 100-999 ranking for the daily unlimited run. I think many people appreciate that tremendously. Also, thanks for continuing to keep the event progression rewards attainable.
Interestingly, though he looks cool, Spider-man 2099 should: 1. Have a different voice (he is Miguel O'Hara after all, not Peter Parker) 2. Not have Spider Sense 3. Have the web-cape which enables him to glide (someone above mentioned it too) 2 & 3 should differentiate him in terms of gameplay if they were able to implement those changes (e.g., during the webslinging stages).
Unfortunately, he does in unlimited. And I hate seeing him coz he breaks my combos. Dont have enough time to learn to near-miss everything thrown at me. LOL
