LOL... i dont see that being legit unless that guy has 4 Lv90 Spiderman 2099, which in itself is impossible at this point without the aid of a buttload of IAPs. I hope Kyle can chime in and help us report this guy.
nope... Discounted ones. I dont buy premium portals at full price anymore since i just save the ISO-8 and buy the VIP portals. I still buy the discounted premium portals every chance i get though.
I just got Spider-man 2099 from an event portal and wanted to give my first impressions: His abilities are Combo counter starts at 10, and then 15% to leveling up at 5 stars. The starting at 10-combos is quite good for beginner/intermediate players for the current progression challenge (achieve 5000 combos in 2 days). This is because when the combo timer expires, the next combo is a +10 to your overall count. What I mean is this: 1. Kill first grunt, combo counter starts at +10 2. Near miss a few, kill more grunts, say your combo counter is now 31 3. Combo counter expires 4. Kill another grunt, combo counter starts at +10 So you have 41 total combos. His ability makes it easy for players who cannot maintain long chains to rack up 100's of combos in total (not as a chain) per run -- ideal for a progression challenge. For those that can easily maintain chains of 100+, his ability is not as good as a Spidey with combo x2 to enemies or near misses or one that is 30% bonus to combo counters (basically a x1.3 to enemies, near misses, rings)
This... I usually get combos up to a minimum of 200, maybe 300 on average, and can still get over 700 if i get lucky. S'why im saying SM2099 is subpar, coz to be good at the game, you should know how to maximize the use of combos, and that means other costumes are more useful in the long run. As for getting a high combo count, like for the 5000 combo event, my go-to is an epic Lv90 Bulletproof Spider-Man which gives +1 to hit combos, and +1 to near misses.
I hope to get more of the epic Bulletproofs, but I'm sticking with my Blue lvl 70 Bulletproof as my main for now. My two almost level 90s, Scarlet Spider (Ben Riley) and OG Spidey just don't seem as good.
For high-scoring, Scarlet-Spider Reilly is one of the best. the +30% combo score is nothing to scoff at, and it gets better with the +1 on hit to ramp it up faster, and even quicker when you get through a boss fight, or when you pickup a hammer-fist. I only really main Bulletproof if im trying to complete a combo count event. Scarlet Spider Reilly is a lot more consistent when it comes to hitting high scores.
Exactly, which is why I bolded it for beginner/intermediates -- it's gives me the feeling that it's a purpose built bonus to address some challenges voiced by beginners to Gameloft. I usually use Battle-damaged Spidey for now as I haven't maxed my Bulletproof, same bonuses as Bulletproof, albeit lower multiplier since only a Rare. But I have been using Spiderman 2099 when I only have 2-5 minutes at work and have to purposely crash after a certain point to raise up my total combo count.
Then I will take your advice and start using SS(BR) for my main. I think I've just been playing terrible lately, so I couldn't tell the difference in scoring.
Still very confused with the various abilities and what Spideys to keep and which to use as fodder for leveling up. I have gotten rid of all my 3 star Spideys as useless, since I am not trying to build a collection at this point. Here is what I have. Maybe you guys can give me some advice on which to use as fodder and which to level up: 4 Star Spider-Armor - Fully Upgraded to level 50 5 Star Bulletproof Spider-Armor - Only one star and at level 10 5 Star Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) - At two stars and at leel 20 5 Star Battle damaged Spider-Man - at 2 stars and at level 15 5 Star Spider-Man - Have all five stars but only at level 26/60 so far 3 of the 5 Star Electro-Proof Spider-Man's - all at one star a piece 6 Star Future Foundation Spider-Man - Only one star at level 10 6 Star Big Time Spider-Man (Sonic) - At one Star level 7 6 Star Bulletproof Spider-Armor - At one star, level 7 6 Star Scarlet Spider - At six stars, level 26/30 A couple of 4 Star Spideys I just pulled to use as fodder if you guys think I should be upgrading some of the 5 Star Spideys. Any suggestions?
If i were you i'd max out scarlet spider since you have him at 6 stars already by using him on runs. This way you'd have a lv 90 spidey. Rank up electro proof since you have duplicates. Max out spiderman, again by doing runs so you'd have another lv 70 spidey multiplier. And level up the rest by sending them to ops. I only use common spideys as fodder for leveling and uncommon spideys to rank up the rares. I never use my rares except to rank up epics.
Okay, cool! Most of this was my thinking anyway. I use my 3 star Spideys mostly as discard-fodder to add XP for leveling. Since I have no desire to level up anymore 4 Star Spideys (having maxed out 4 Star Spider Armor) I have been using the 4 Stars as fodder to level up the 5 stars. I was already planning on using the unwanted 5 stars to level up the 6 stars. I have been buying the discount premium portals every day, but unfortunately, I can't get any headway with collecting ISO 8 and may have to start buying the half price premium portals every other day instead of every day, since I am putting out more ISO 8 now than taking in by spending 12 a day. Right now I only have about 18. This brings me up to my next point: I really suck at this game! lol I cannot get past 46% completion on the Electro Issue (I think its issue 3?) The problem is that I may have just hit an unpassable wall for me. I was getting incrementally better through issues 1, 2, and about half of 3. But now I can no longer even get passed on boss, forget about beating Electro in the mission I am stuck on, "A Shocking Situation." Once things start getting really fast, particularly indoors, even with my reading glasses on, I can't seem to get past more than a few of the round blue targets you hit to shoot them at the boss. I was getting past at least the first Green Goblin in previous issues, but now on issue 3, even the first Goblin in the Events is beyond my ability to handle. To be honest, this game is so difficult, I have been not playing it out of sheer frustration. If I don't start getting better at the game soon (and practice doesn't seem to be working) then I am going to give it up since there is no point.
Hey Kyle, any chance we could get the blue glow tuned down a bit from the 2x score multiplier? There have been quite a few times I've died because it's obscured obstacles I would normally be able to see and react to. Maybe just change the color without changing the size of the vials?
Ooh, second on this. And that goes for the color of Electro's electricity, too. Maybe putting a black outline around it or something would help, because that electric blue color, while probably my favorite color, does make it hard to see in a lot of the areas.
I'd like to add a third vote on the suggestions here. It sucks to get killed because of a power up! And I have to rely on memorization to avoid electro's blasts and beams sometimes because I simply can't see them.
Haha, I just hope everyone clawing at each other for that doesn't drop me out of the top 99... I imagine that with only 9 awards, 12-15 ISO-8 worth of consumables will be mandatory, which is unfortunate, especially if you still don't end up in the top 9. Either way, that's a much better and more fair award than a blue Ends of the Earth Spidey. Oh, and Kyle, if you could manufacture a server outage for the next 24 hours while I happen to be sitting at number three on the daily leaderboard, I promise I won't complain.
You have to learn the obstacles' pattern. There are some parts that is easier to go from the left side and some on the right side etc and some enemies are better avoided for survival rather than killed for combo points etc. And. For indoors especially the lasers, you should pay attention to the laser poles on the sides and memorise which ones would activate and which dont. Basically you should memorise the obstacles pattern and learn which lane you should take to get past it. If you keep dying at a certain obstacle config you should try to get past it from a diff lane/jumping instead of sliding/avoiding instead of killing etc.
