Do they sort brackets by how well you've done in previous events? I feel like this one the scores are waaaaaay higher than any of the previous events.
Wow, more than 24 hours and still no event portal. After all this, I hope it's a 100% chance at Big Time Spidey. Actually, on that topic, I have a suggestion/feedback for Gameloft_Kyle: could you consider removing the original premium portal Spideys from the event portal? It seems like limited time events should be a chance to get something different, so it's a bit disappointing to pull the same normal Spidey you've gotten 10 times already. It would be nice if the event portal was exclusively the new Spideys (Iron Spider, Electro-Proof, FF, etc.) since that's the only place they're available. PS. I also agree with other players that I probably won't use the premium portal again until the odds of getting regular Spidey are decreased. Thanks again for the great game!
I noticed that even though I did better than I've ever done in an event run, I was still ranked around 1800. Maybe this event has everyone lumped together. I always have a hard time closing out event and promo pop-ups in this game. There's a big X in the corner of the message, but tapping it rarely does anything. Is it on a timer or something? I feel like I've played enough of the game to give a complete and honest opinion of it. In short, it's a fun behind-the-back runner that has enough variety to recommend anyone try it. If you're a Spider-Man fan, it's fantastic, and could be one of your favorites in the genre. If you're not a Spidey fan, you'll get tired of it before you make any real progress because every character behaves exactly the same. There are very few enemy types, but at least they behave differently. No matter which Spider-Man you play with, he'll say the same phrases with the same voice.
Yeah, I get it that the spideys each have different % of chance in getting them. And epics probably have less than rares. But I'm not even seeing the other rares that much except the vanilla one (I have received other ones before sure but not as much as vanilla). It just feels like the % is skewed toward the vanilla one 80% of the time and 20% for the rest of the pool lol.
Yeah that happened to me last week or a couple weeks ago. I was on that long high ramp and i think i jumped or something, and i went through the floor/ledge.
It's a pretty major bug that the event is not sorting people into brackets but lumping everyone into one über bucket like the Daily unlimited leaderboard. The event states "compete with 1000 other players". There is precedent of an event being ended early, rewards given out, and then restarted. That needs to happen here. There's another bug which is the event portal not being there. It means you're not getting rewards you earn, and it affects how you would be able to participate in the event if it was being properly run since there is no way to get Big Time Spidey unless you finish in the top 10 unlimited board. Can we get clarification about when and how these two issues will be resolved?
Ah, so that's why there's like a thousand people with scores over 2 million. I was wondering, "Wow, when did everyone get so good at this game?"
The team is currently working to address both issues. Unfortunately, once the event has started it limits the team's ability to tweak things heavily. For some regions the event is already more than half over, so the team is investigating other solutions instead of restarting it. Once I have more news I'll let you all know. The event portal should also be live later today, sorry for the delay. Your rewards (progression and daily leaderboard) should appear once the portal is live. EDIT: Also worth mentioning that the team is working to improve the Premium Portal system and changes will be made soon. Additionally, we'll be restructuring the Daily Leaderboard reward tiers again to help them be a bit more balanced for all players while still also rewarding top ranks.
Just noticed that they added a new VIP Portal that contains only the epic Spidey's from the Premium Portal, I wonder if they'll leave the Premium portal alone or remove the epics....

It's really nice having you around, you should ask for a raise The VIP Portal apparently unlocks after you've made an in-app-purchase (not including the 99 cent "starter pack" bundle), so some of us have had this portal for a long time. Some of us will never see it. But either way, it's not so much new as "new to you", so I doubt they'll be removing epics from the Premium Portal.
Just got confirmation from the team that they made some adjustments last night regarding the VIP portal. Now it will show up for any user over level 51, regardless of if you have purchased IAP or not. This is rolling out and should be available to all users soon. Hmm... a raise sounds good, but I should also be thanking you all for all of the feedback!
I am the guy who started the VIP portal thread on your forums and I just came to send your message about the changes... but it looks like you got here much faster!
100 Iso-8 for a VIP portal? Is there anyone outside of the "whales" of the game that could possibly buy these things? How much money does that equal? Just curious if anyone here has splashed out the cash for one...

DOH! Waiting forever for a turn All of a sudden, I get a new life every 36 hours!!!! Ouch! That is long time to wait for one turn in a runner - HALP!
Why they don't charge a one time IAP fee, like say $1.99 or even a little more, for unlimited energy is completely beyond me. I bet they would make more money just from that than they would for those absurdly, insanely, crazy high ISO 8 purchases ten times over.
