^Yup the $1 for 55 ISO-8 is my only purchase in this game too. But i managed to buy the 15% Exp and 15% Vials just form gaining ISO-8 through event rewards and goals, and the daily rankings.

Well, it was only a practical decision at this point since i've been playing the game too much. I can consistently gain ISO-8 through rewards, so it was an easy decision.

I completely agree. The way I see it, paying a buck for 55 ISO 8 crystals, plus the various boosts that come with it accomplishes two things:

    1. It supports the devs financially, which is the only way to make money on an app, aside from adverts and a purchase price for the game, neither of which this game has.

    2. It is actually a good bargain.

Unless I am missing something here because of my ignorance of app economics, it seems to me that the price structure of this game's IAP purchases is incredibly limiting to Gamesloft financially, because they seem to be losing out on a pretty nice potential revenue stream by pricing what I can only assume would be the vast majority of gamers right out of their market. It also seems to me that they are relying on gamers to kind of be suckers and impulse-buy the only IAP they offer for this game. Hell, maybe there are enough people out there who "just have to have" the paltry value that the IAP's offer? I don't know.

I hope gameloft doesnt act like a dick and reduce the event rewards to force the players into buying ios. I will quit the day they do that. Plus, i really think they should do the 55 a dollar thing every weekend.

So my 1st place on Defender of the City didn't stay, luckily I only fell to #2. But I didn't get to see what the first place score was.

I got the Seeing Red event today. First run, got first place. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this game. Still have yet to see a "Great Run" though, so I still got some work to do.

You just got that event? I just finished it! I didnt know different people can get different events, i thought we all get it together at the same time. Well i got 1st and now i got enough epic FF spidey to get it maxed out as soon as I get enough rare spidey to actually rank it up lol

    Semi-Important Question:

In my Inbox, I have a "Free Daily Recruit." It also says that in one more day, I will be eligible for a "Rare Recruit," which would be my FIRST in the game. My question is, if I take the free daily recruit, will that take away my "Rare Recruit" for tomorrow, and start the ten day clock over again?

Oh, and is the Rare Recruit a 6 star pull or is t random? One more question: Is the Rare Recruit I will be eligible tomorrow (for logging in ten days in a row) a free pull?

    Thanks!

You need to claim your daily standard portal to then get the next one in the line tomorrow, so take it. The 10 day award is a FREE premium portal which normally costs 25 ISO-8 (12 in the daily deal) and guarantees as least a five-star blue (rare) Spider-Man. It will be a random pull. Note that though the max is five stars, he starts with just one star like any other Spidey, and must be Ranked up to get to five stars (and the bonus ability that unlocks at five stars).

I spent $8 during a flash sale a couple weeks ago to get 130 ISO-8 at 60% off the regular $20 price point. This game has absolutely been worth $10+ to me (I play it constantly). The deal wasn't nearly as good as the $0.99 for 50 ISO-8, but don't hold your breath for another one of those. Apparently the purchase also unlocked the VIP Portal for me, and I got a free VIP Portal pull (6 star Super-Rare Purple Spider-Man, starting with 2-3 ranks) and when you include that then it was a really good deal (as would be $2 for 10 ISO-8, once, if it included the 100 ISO-8 VIP pull!).

So keep an eye out for another sale, and/or cross your fingers that you'll also get a free VIP pull, which will make it totally worth it.

Cool, thanks! I took the pull and it was yet another "non duplicate" Spidey! I was trying to open up some slots by pulling as many 3 Star Spideys as possible in the hopes of a duplicate so I could rank them up, but I had no luck and ended up with all unique cards. lol

So I decided to bite the bullet and purchase two empty unlocked slots for 8 ISO 8's each and then I paid 2,500 twice for two normal pulls (again in the hopes of a duplicate to rank up and clear out slots). Not a bad investment, actually, since I finally got a duplicate of one of my 3 star cards, and thus was able to clear out slots, and now have 4 empty slots, THANKFULLY!

Question: when the time comes, should I be doing the same thing with my 4 star cards, meaning use them solely as fodder for 5 and 6 star cards when I have a bunch of them, whenever that it?

I would keep the maxed out 4-star cards because they are often used as bonus score multipliers for your team as you progress. Also, if their multiplier is higher than your 5 and 6 star cards, you will want to keep them part of your team to max your scores out anyway.

    I think a 4-star card max multiplier is 6.5X and a 5-star one is 9x. Don't know about a 6 star one.

For the 3-star cards, except for Manga-verse Spiderman, I haven't seen them used as bonus score multiplier team members.

Okay, so now I have 4 of the 4-star cards, one of them is level 20, but the others are all stuck at 10 because I can't rank them up, having no duplicates and being unwilling to pay 25 ISO 8 for it.

I also have 1 of the the 3 star Manga-Verse Spidey's. So are you saying I should keep that one?

No point putting anything as fodder until u have clearly crossed that demarcation. What i mean by demarcation is when we start, we aim to make 3 star spideys as 4/5/6 are not possible at that point, later on we move on to the 4 star state where we have 4 star maxed out spideys and then to the level 5 and so on.

If you already have 3 maxed out level 3 spideys, then feel free to use any other 3 star spidey u get as fodder, but if u dont, then hold on to everything.

I actually haven't maxed out any card. One of my four star cards is stuck at level 20 because I don't have a duplicate to use to rank it up further. And one of my 3 star cards i ranked to 2 stars, but still at level 1 because I have never used it. That is the Manga-verse one. All the other cards are basically at very low ranks, but getting higher as I keep sending them off to Spidey Ops. Really I am pretty stuck because I am hoarding ISO 8 crystals, and only have 31 of them now. I would LOVE to pull another 4 star Spidey Armor card so I can rank my current Spidey Armor (which is stuck at level 20 until I do) up to 3 stars so I can play the final mission in Issue 1.

Edit: okay, I was screwing around with the portals and using vials only, I pulled another 3 star Manga-Verse, so I was able to rank that up to the full three stars, but unfortunately it is still at one star. So I will use the Spidey Ops to level him up slowly, at which point I will use him to play the final mission of Issue 1, unless, of course, I can manage to pull another 4 star Iron Spider, which I will immediately rank up with the other Fodder Spideys lol. This also opened up a couple of more slots, so now I have 6 open slots. :)

it's way faster to level up by actively playing non-issue missions (play unlimited or an event) than to rely on Spidey Ops. And if you have enough friends sending you free energy (and there's kind of no excuse not to--it takes nothing more than a little time) then you can play dozens of runs and improve both your Spidey's level and your own ability.

I thought I'd share my collection... I've been saving up my Rare duplicates for rank-up fodder but haven't had any luck getting more super rates from the premium or event portals, and I'm getting tired of buying slots.

I kind of suck at this game, and I think my high score in Unlimited mode is like 30K. lol My high score in some of the events is a little higher, but I think you get my point. I am sure I will be able to get decent scores if and when I get better at this game. I'm also sure playing with levels 10 and 20 Spideys isn't helping either.

The point is I play lots of Unlimited and Events, but I have only been playing for a little over a week, AND not knowing what I was doing I used all the WRONG Spideys as fodder to rank up stupid ones. So I lost a lot of the good Spideys I had, and am replenishing them now. I also spent (not knowing any better) a ton of ISO 8 on stupid crap before I started coming here and figuring out how to play. So in a sense its kind of like I started playing the day before yesterday, at least that's about when I started to "get it" with this game.

The good news is I played around with the portal some more and pulled a 4 star Iron Spidey AND a 2 of the 3 star Secret Wars Spideys. So when my Spideys come back from their Ops in about 45 minutes, I will be able to free-rank my current 4 star Iron Spidey (which is at two stars) up to 3 stars.

Question: In Issue 1, I needed the Sercet Wars Spidey for a particular mission. So I was thinking if there is another Secret Wars mission in Issue 2 or 3, I would use my two Secret Wars doubles to rank that card up to 3 full stars? Or is this a waste?

I don't recall needing him in issues 2 or 3, but I kind of blew through each of those. Either way, you don't need a higher rank/level version of him so whether you rank him up or not is up to you. I had a max level version of him for a long time, but as you can see in my lineup above I ended up using him to level up another Spidey and get the slot back. Still, having those level 30s helped me get the level 50s which helped me get the level 70s. The sooner you can get through issue 1 and unlock an extra Spidey slot during your runs, the better off you'll be. Plus Secret Wars Spidey is one my my favorite looking of the bunch—I imagine I'll build one up again someday :)

Cool, I will build mine up tonight. One of the Daily Goals is to "Spend 10,000 Vials." So I will do four regular Spidey pulls to get my 3 ISO 8 crystals and use the pulled Spideys all as fodder to level up my 3 star Secret Wars Spidey, since I have three of them.

Also, is there ANY value whatsoever to the consumables that you can purchase with vials? If so, which ones? Otherwise, as I said, I will just do four regular pulls to get the fodder. Or perhaps get another 4 star Iron Spidey, in which case I will max him out to the full four stars.

Edit: Oops! My mistake, I thought the consumables were purchased with vials not ISO 8.
