just clear it I didn't get iso8 reward from defeat pure energy electro (only this one) maybe a bug or something anyone found the same problem?
When you login for the first time on a particular day, and the daily leaderboard prize doesn't appear in your inbox but the daily leaderboard timer has resetted, minimize the app wait 1-2 sec then open it up again. The pop up for the daily leaderboard prize should come up. That's what I do everyday. And make sure you have a good connection.
I almost have enough vials for the last vial-purchasable powerup upgrade. After that... I guess vials are useless? I guess I could buy a ton of standard portals to level up my other spideys, but I really wish they added an option to purchase 1time boosts with vials, or something like that...
Weird glitch this morning: Several times, when out of stamina, I pressed the + button and the only thing there is the countdown timer to more Spidey energy and the button to buy refill with 3 ISO crystals, but there is no "Ask Friends For Energy" button. Oh and I haven't asked for any energy today or in the last 24 hours at all.
Honestly, I really don't like the entire currency system of this game. It feels unbalanced to the extreme. I really want to love this game, but the more I play it, unfortunately, the more frustrated I become with both the in-game and microtransaction currency system AND the difficulty of the actual gameplay. I also like to support developers with microtransactions, but at the moment, I would actually feel like someone stamped "SUCKER!!!" on my forehead if I spent real money on this one. lol
I think the IAPs are overpriced like whoa, so I don't think I'll pick any up in this game. I mean, when I actually went to check the store for the prices, I had about 100 ISO-8 stocked up from various goal, level, and event rewards. The price for less than that amount was crazy considering how I had only been playing a few days and earned well over that. If you don't like this game because of the balance of the currency system and that it's too hard, I wouldn't recommend trying to force it. This is how a lot of other F2P titles are. I find that once you know how they're set up, you can quickly drop titles you don't think are worth the time, or stick with ones you know how to work. There was a world-building card game really recently, another Gameloft lane runner (Asphalt), and even Godus that I dropped early on because the imbalance was so transparent, and to the point where they games weren't fun.
The problem is I am a HUGE Spidey fan. I have a collection of comics that is awesome, dating all the way back to the original Amazing Spider-Man #1 from 1963 CGC graded at 6.0. Then a full run of ASM from #4, also in 1963, all the way up to the modern end of the series! Don't even get me started on Marvel Tales, Team Up, Peter Parker the Spectacular SM, and every other series, one shot, and Spidey X-Over book. Anyway, that's why I am trying to force it. And truth be told, if I get a lot better at the game (I wouldn't even consider buying real money items as long as I suck at it lol) AND they either lower the price of ISO 8 or offer sales, like weekend specials that are worth it, I would consider a few purchases. But as you noticed, I would have to be getting a helluva lot more for my money than 55 ISO 9 for ten bucks! That is like insane! I can download full, albeit older, PSN titles for that money. These devs (and believe me Gameloft is NOT the only one!!!) need to really take a step back and evaluate the value they are offering for e-items that cost them nothing to produce, stock, store, and ship. There is no postage, no handling fees, no storage, etc. Yes, devs should make money and charge for in game items, but if they want my money they are going to have to offer me some actual value.
To get the most value out of this game without paying money, you have to play the "game within the game" -- and one aspect is patience. Patience: Stretch your ISO-8 by buying the daily special 1/2 price premium pack. -- Sometimes you also get a random VIP pack gift as well. As you get better, your runs increase in time, but take a break, rest/stretch your thumbs/fingers, wipe down your screen if there are smudges, etc.. -- Starting from like 5 Spidey Energy, I usually can stretch that into 7-8 runs because of taking breaks Play it safe. Combos are cool, but playing it safe = more playing time. The other aspect is what I call "putting in work." Always request and give your 5 energies to friends Always try to get achieve the 3 daily achievements, which give you some vials and 3 ISO-8. Always play at least one unlimited run to try and get a reward (bronze medals are great as you get to mid-game, but as others have noted, silver medals for 50 ISO-8 are the goal for high level players) Save vials, particularly if you don't need common/uncommon spidermen. --- Save them for upgrading the power-ups, focusing on the ones that keep you alive longer (web hammer, then shield), then 2x bonus (because it 2x your combos, too), and lastly web magnet (because vials are really really plentiful to begin with). -- upgrade them in complete rounds to keep sane, like level up hammer, shield, then bonus... then hammer again, shield, then bonus, etc., etc.
Agreed, thanks! What are these? Right now I am playing "The Future Is Now" side quest exclusively. I am doing this for two reasons: At 500 vials, I got one ISO 8, at 5000 I got 3, and I am sure at 20K and 50K that increases? I am up to 16,652 with 3 days left to play (well 3 days minus whatever time lapsed since the Event came up on my game. I am also starting to get longer runs, which means I am running out of stamina a lot less often. In this Event, I have noticed that I can get to and usually beat whatever first Goblin the game throws at me, but by the time I am getting toward the second Goblin, it just gets ridiculous. Way too many obstacles, way too close together, and the guys shooting canons at me. Thanks, great advice. I discovered this yesterday, but right now I have a glitch and cannot send out requests for energy. When I am out of energy and go to the screen I normally request it, there is no button there for requesting, only the one that wants to charge me 3 ISO 8. I reported it on the devs FB page. Can you elaborate on this? How far do I have to get on the Unlimited runs? I am a little confused bu what I need to do to get rewards. Agreed on all this! I already started upgrading. I mean this Event requires me getting 50K vials, so that will help a little.
The occasional vip bundle dosent present itself until after you make a iap purchase to support the developer. Its a catagory of cards, 100iap to buy that guarantees a 6 star drop. If you've made a iap purchase towards the game, occasionally your 12gem discount will be a vip free pull instead of a premium pull. Regarding unlimited mode, the metal icon next to the play button is a daily leaderboard with its own rewards. You rank on this leaderboard by playing in unlimited mode.
I don't think I am anywhere near ready to play or rank on the leaderboard, as I made some serious mistakes of ignorance and ended up merging the wrong Spideys yesterday or the day before lol. I gave up my level 20+ Spideys and now am stuck with level 10 max at the moment on a four star Spidey Armor Card and level 10 on a Four Star Spidey Noir as my best cards now. Like I said...lol Anyway, They all have one star only, so if I continue with my level 4 cards, I will have to use ISO8 to rank and level them up. Do they ever discount the IAP in this game like most devs do? I would gladly pay, say $10.00 to support the devs, but I would have to get a helluva lot more than 55 ISO 8! Hahahaha that's just stupid! The other Spideys are all 2 and 3 stars so I will eventually discard them. If an IAP purchase is required for what you mentioned, do you think its worth it? I am definitely getting discernibly better at the game. On the current Event, The Future Is Now, I have been able to get as far as beating the first Goblin that appears and once in a while, I can get up to the second Goblin, but I can never get far enough to beat him. At that point, the game just gets way too hard for me. Another plus for me is I am hoarding ISO 8 and now have 17 of them!
You should ALWAYS rank on the leaderboard. Just trying gets a prize, always always attempt a leaderboard. If you get comfortable enough to bronze the daily unlimited board, you'll be getting a premium card every day. iSO-8 should only be used for your daily discounted 12gem premium card purchase. And yep they do periodic discounts. I've no regrets
I think it's really easy to place on the leaderboards for the unlimited mode. Placing high is another story, but a single decent run should get you the base reward. With how far you said you can make it on the event runs, you should be able to get some reward in unlimited mode. It hasn't been out very long, so I don't know if it's too early for them to have discounted IAPs. You can check sites like http://www.appsnatcher.com/ to check for IAP discounts. I thought the bosses showed up at set intervals, but maybe it's different for each event. I too have a hard time getting to and surviving the second boss appearance. I think the best I've done is make it to the third, but I usually only beat one and then die shortly after because it gets going too fast. Like others have said, you'll start to see patterns, and that makes surviving much easier. Typically, the only reason I die before beating the first boss is because I make a stupid mistake or if I'm not paying attention.
There are rotating IAP discounts each week. Usually a "get 50-60% more ISO-8 on your purchase" kind of sale. There was a one-time discount which i thought was offered once for each account which was $0.99 for the 55 ISO-8. That said, i only got the $0.99 starter sale, and i dont recommend buying any unless you bathe in cash in real life. Where i currently throw my ISO-8: Roster Slots VIP portals A few revives (when gunning for event ladder coz if you get a good rank, it pays for itself... HINT: I spent 17 ISO-8 to win 250 ISO-8 )

Anyone had a problem with event reward portals just not working? I win an award in the event, accept it from my inbox, but when I go to cash in the portal, it subtracts from my ISO-8 instead of using the free portal. So far customer service has been really good about refunding the spent ISO-8 but I"m considering just sitting on the portals in my inbox until an update or something if it keeps happening.
Same thing has happened to me. The past 2 days I've placed within the top 10000 in the daily leader board and when I went to claim my event portal/bronze medal I only receive the medal and no portal.
