    Hey everyone!

Just downloaded this game because I am a huge Spidey fan and though I have been addicted to the game, am tired of Subway Surfers being a buggy, unstable game, so I figured I would try another swipe game, endless runner.

However, I am confused about a few things:

    1. I supposedly sent a couple of my Spideys onto Spidey Ops, but have no idea what that is, ts effect on my game (well, other than the fact that those Spideys aren't available to me now lol), or what that means in terms of gameplay.

    2. I have pulled a whole bunch of Spideys in from different dimensions...um sort of, but not sure what I did or if they were all the same Spidey. Seems like they were, but some have different rankings...I think.

    3. I am funding navigating the menus a little confusing (make that very confusing). I don't have much of the collectibles yet, and am still on the Goblin stage (first issue is it or whatever the game calls is?)

    4. Is there a way to pay for the game, like a retail price, so that I don't have to stop playing after just a few runs? It is insanely frustrating to have to wait to play. I am all for microtransactions. I know that and ads are how these app debvs make their money, but even PS4 and XBox One games you pay one price and you can play it as much as you like. With a game like this, I don't think I would ever pay real money if all it ever gave me was "a few extra plays" or something.

    1) you earn exp for your spideys to level up, mainly do this when you are away from the game or you have spideys you are not using.

    2) yes the main point of this game is to collect and rank up different spideys. You can spend vials for standard ranked spideys and ISO 8 for premium better ranked and better stat spideys. All of the spideys come with different abilities and perks to help you do better. Many different events give a bonus score multiplier for certain spideys.

    3) There is the issue campaign which helps you to level up spideys quick and earn ISO 8. Completing each issue unlocks a slot where you can bring along another spidey with you in a run hence increasing your score multiplier. Then you have unlimited mode where you compete daily to get a high score. You can get rewards every day for how well you finish. Then you have events which are only available for a certain time. There you compete with either 500 or 1000 other players. There are rewards for finishing high and rewards for completing certain tasks like collecting 10,000 vials etc. Then you have the section for recruiting more spideys and seeing your team where you can level up and rank up your spideys.

    4) There is no one time unlock to keep playing but just add tons of friends. Go into the leaderboards and add people. I have an inbox of 50+ energy. Your inbox will fill up with tons of requests and it becomes a non issue.

Quick question about adding friends. Does that require connecting to Facebook or adding people as Game Center friends?

Nope, go to the leaderboards (unlimited leaderboards, event leaderboards, all the leaderboards!) and start clicking people. All the people! As many people as you can see. Make them all your friend! I have over 300 energy in my inbox (!!) and never need to stop playing because I hit the energy wall. (Hitting my own personal wall is another issue...

Just remember to rank up your spideys, you need a duplicate of the spidey you want to rank up, plus 2 spideys of lower rarity. This way you don't need iso8s to rank them up.

I don't understand this. Is this some sort of RPG element of the game, and it happens when you are, as you say, away from the game, when you send your various Spideys into battle "by themselves" without you?

Other than paying real cash, is there a quick way to get Iso? I see to always be incredibly short of it?

I have to be honest and say that I am used to classic Playstation/XBox/PC games like GTA and other titles a lot simpler than the system in this game. I know you explained it, but what you just said lol confused me even more.

This is probably the only answer you posted I actually do understand! Hahaha. Not your fault, mine. I just went into the leaderboard and stated friending people for like a half hour. So far about a half dozen accepted! :)

Okay, I am finding this incredibly confusing. I think I own (right now) about a half dozen or so Spideys. one is stuck at Rank 20 because I DO NOT have even one ISO 8 left. I may already have duplicates, but not sure how. I just started playing the game and every time I had the opportunity to pull a Spidey in from wherever (looks like a giant tornado) I did. Well, I have Spideys I can buy, but nowhere near enough ISO 8 or yellow vials to buy more.

I have to say, I am simply not "understanding" this game at all.

Each Spidey has a given number of stars, and there are different spidermen at different ranks. If you have, say, a 4 star regular suit spiderman, and get another one from the portal (the portal is the "tornado looking thing" you referenced...and it randomly rewards spidermen, but u can click on the magnifine glass and see which spidermen in that portal group are available), then go to the "my team" section, tap on "rank up" and it'll show the center slot needs to be filled with an identical card. If you have one, and then 2 lower cards, then you don't have to pay ISO to rank up (the option goes away with these circumstances met. U can use equal or higher cards, but that's not recommended as they're more rare. The more stars, the better and more rare your spiderman (card) is.

So in this case, a duplicate 4 star regular suit spiderman, and two 3-star cards will remove the ISO payment option and u simply tap the rank up button.

Do yourself a favor and go back through this thread. There's tons of info and helpful hints.....all your Q's will be explained and give u some strategy on how to progress through the game. JC gave u some good info, even if it's hard to understand it within its context. Just keep playing.

Try googling Spiderman Unlimited help or something of that nature too. There's usually Wikis floating around and if not, there may be a few articles with an explanation of the gameplay and tips n tricks. Just focus on long runs, near misses with obstacles, and if your doing a daily or weekend tourney, check out the details of what spiderman gets a bonus etc. good luck##

    1) ok so for the spidey ops it's just a side quest. This is a common freemium game thing you are just sending your spideys on a fake mission and when the timer ends you get experience points which helps level your spideys. It's just another option to gain experience you don't need to do it but it's helpful to do for instance at night before bed since you won't be playing the game then. It doesn't affect your scores or have anything to do with a run.

    2) The only ways to get ISO 8 other then paying are from in game rewards. You can gain them from completing your daily goals (click on the menu at the top to find them), gaining them from finishing issues and that modes missions, finishing high on the daily and/or event leaderboards and getting it as a reward, completing the tasks in the events, and you can gain a few everyday by punching or avoiding gold obstacles/enemies during a run (get around 1-3 ISO from this). Lots of ways to earn them!

    3) I know it all seems complicated but you will get the hang of it just browse through the menus and play around you will get the hang of it. Mainly as a beginner focus your time on the daily leaderboard in ultimate mode, this is a good way to earn portals to get more spideys, ISO 8, and vials (depending where you finish at the end of the day). Also try to complete the issues since you earn a lot of ISO 8 by finishing an issue think you get 25 just for completing one.

    4) Anymore questions feel free to ask!

    Some tips:
-Use your vials to collect standard spideys at first, level them and rank them up quick.
-Spend some ISO 8 on slots to get a good collection of Spider-Men.
-Do not spend any ISO to rank up a spidey, wait to get a duplicate so you can rank up for free.
-Complete daily goals and get a decent score on the daily leaderboard to save up in game currencies
-Complete the issues as soon as you can to stock up on more ISO 8, helpful to unlock more slots to take more spideys with you on a run increasing your score multiplier. The better the spidey you have (stars and level) the better your score multiplier you will have thus increasing your chances at a better score resulting in better rewards :)
-Compete in events for even more rewards and try to complete the event tasks which also give you rewards
-Dont forget to send and request energy from friends everyday, you can also brag to a few friends everyday in the daily leaderboard to gain an extra 500 vials per friend.

That's what is so great about this runner, it has a lot of depth and does have some complexities. It has a ton to do and really keeps you entertained. Have fun!

So I just reached the "Great Run" wall... in unlimited?!

I was sceptic when people were saying there is an end, thought it was only to make events non-farmable or something, but wtf? What a bummer... :(

Seriously? Lol at what distance? Or how many bosses? Did you remember?
    I guess it's a multiplier battle then...

It is a multiplier and "who has the best cards" type setup for sure.

It's definitely longer than events. I managed to score 3.6mil with a multiplier of 27 if that helps.

The thing I DO like about this tho is that it will make combos much more meaningful, as they should be. They are a feature that needs to be used and mastered. :)

Tho what confuses me is this:
If there is a limit in unlimited (lol) mode, then the top scores on the leaderboards seem kind of fishy to me suddenly.

    Let's do some math.

My "full" run was mediocre, I did not focus on combos, tho I had several streaks of 200+ (battle damaged 5* helped :p ). Let's say I could have gotten about 4mil if I did a bit better. So, without a multiplier that would have been:

    4,000,000 / 27 (multi) = 148,148.15

If we now take the world #1 score and divide it by this number, we should get a multiplier that is required for this score if you do an ok "full" run:

    7,434,730 / 148,148.15 ≈ 50

Considering someone has 4 tag team slots, the required average multiplier for each slot would be:

    50 / 4 = 12.5!?

Since this number is too high for an epic card, and since Ethan W has more than 800 gold medals and hasn't been banned yet... I think he's a dev. :D

^If everyone manages to reach the level caps on each of the 4 team slots, then the game has the potential to be well-balanced.

But then the path towards getting a fully capped team is pretty bleak, where those who IAP their way through will get there way faster, and in effect delay everyone else coz the IAP-powered players will be dominating the leaderboards more likely.

That, and the abuse of the +25% score item that costs 7 ISO8 per run. :p

Reached "great run" in unlimited run as well today. Man it stinks got a little over 2mill just missed rank 1-99 (108), it seemed like the same amount of bosses as the events 8 or 9. What a rip off... That mode should be unlimited!
