lol, saying this is overpriced because of a bug reminds me of the guy that posted a 999$ app when the appstore was released... http://imgur.com/u5S9LKZ
Question. I need a level 31+ Spider-Man to be able to progress in Issue 2. Is spending 50 ISO-8's the only way I can get it? If so, ##
Is EVERYONE skipping tutorials? They are there for a reason. :/ In any case, once again NO you don't need to spend any ISO for ranking up. You just need 1 duplicate card in the middle and 2 same or one star lower rarity cards on the left and right. So, for example, if you want to rank up a rare card, you would need the SAME card and 2 uncommon+ cards.
Thanks. I know about increasing the combo, but I didn't know it was useless in the story mode. As for using ISO-8 to rank up, I don't think the tutorial was all that clear on how to do it because they both provided you with the cards needed and just pointed to the button you needed to push next. I wanted to rank up the bag head Spider-Man, and I selected one duplicate card and another card. I didn't know I needed three cards total, but rather I thought adding the additional cards after the dupe just increased experience or something. So after selecting the one dupe, I tapped the ISO-8 button without realizing what I was doing. I ended up with a ranked up Spider-Man, but I still had those cards I selected. It wasn't a lot of ISO-8, and it's a mistake I only needed to make once. I know I'm not far in the game, but my tips for progression follow similar F2P titles. Other than ISO-8, the vials are what you need most to progress, so I think any upgrade that increases vials is the first way to go. That said, I'm saving ISO-8 to get the double vials upgrade at the bottom of the store list. After that, I'd upgrade the 2x power-up all the way. I haven't been spending vials to open the portal, but rather spending them to increase card slots for my team.
Im with IceMilkTea. +1 to Hit Combo is so much better compared to +1 to Near-Miss Combos because of the following reasons: 1. Less risk = longer runs = higher scores. 2. Web Fist powerup = easy combo chain. Ramming into obstacles with this powerup active count as hit combo as well. 3. Boss fight = another easy combo chain, from hitting blue emblems to hitting the boss with the finisher.
I've been doing that as well, but today I didn't get an offer along with everything else at the reset. Today was my free premium portal day for the login streak reward, is that why? Has anyone gotten both? Is there not always a deal of the day? EDIT: I just got it, later than usual. Is it on a 24 hour timer and not directly tied to the reset? Yesterday o may not have claimed it until a couple hours after the reset so that would make sense. Either way I'm glad that you can still get it even with your free premium portal reward.
15,000 combos in 2 day time for 10 ISO? Really? If I wanted 10 ISO I would report to Customer Care...
^LOL... Yeah im workin my way through to that 15k combos. Im only at 3.9k right now, but i need some sleep. Watched 2 movies in succession with the wife today and i did a 7 hour stream of League of Legends Worlds before that so im pretty spent.
The last time I checked you will always be trying to dodge an obstacle but there are expanses of the game where there will be no web hammer or enemies to kill. Same with the boss battles - you are dodging things to maneuver to hit the shield icons. When you get to the longer runs I find myself near-missing almost everything coming my way because it's so damn fast anyway. I don't have a spidey with +1 combo to hits yet so these comparisons are all theoretical for me though.
I played the tutorial, because I was forced to, but I didn't retain that rankning up part. Thanks for the information.
With +1 on Hit Combo, the only time you need to purposefully do near miss combos is to keep the combo counter running. That is still way safer than trying to near-miss everything. The synergy with boss fights and Web Hammer (as the game and you call it, although i still prefer web fists ) are too significant to ignore. Once you reached past the second boss in a run, near-missing becomes more and more of a chore. You really need to focus farther in your path rather than focus on the obstacles you are trying to near-miss. The only advantage to +1 to near-miss combos over +1 to Hit Combos is that you never run out of things to near-miss, but the risk (especially at farther distances) is too high compared to the latter. In the case of +1 on Hit Combo, is that you can always use near-miss to keep your combo counter from decaying.
Interesting if you read the description of the future foundation event it says those who collect the most vials will receive a special bonus. Wonder what that means?
I have both. I score better with a rank 1 rare punch spidey than a rank 4 rare near-miss spidey because I play safer and get much farther, and the points/combos rack up nicely especially near a boss (all those boss punches are doubled too, and come with double bonus points!) I don't doubt that there are more chances to near-miss than to punch things, but I'm not a good enough player that it translates into bigger scores. YMMV.
I take it to mean that whoever created the event, in addition to being off his rocker (15000 combos for 10 ISO-8?!), was also careless in copying the description from a previous (vial collecting grind) event.
