Ends of the Earth Spider-Man the dream... Shattered. Only a couple hours left til the event finishes and i woke up to find out i was pushed to 6th in the rankings. No way i can improve the score with the stupid distance limit and no access to higher multiplier. I guess that means im back to streaming League of Legends Worlds 2014
Woohoo, Cosmic Event just resetted for me and I completed the objectives before that so basically I just got free ISO! Psience, don't fret! If my "calculations" are correct, the bulletproof reward will lead to a bulletproof event which will probably have electroPROOF spidey as a reward, which, in turn, will lead to Issue #3. They said that there are gonna be pre-issue events so this seems like a logical thing to do. If my hunch is correct we can expect the 4th tag slot next week and then, if they don't do the unspeakable and add a 5th IAP tag team slot, we should get much higher on those leaderboards. One more thing: I found an exploit I think. So far this has worked for the silver daily challenge (trophy). When I completed the requirements for it, after the game I was greeted with a notification to collect it. I claimed it, and for some reason I force closed the app and opened it again. Little did I know that the notification was waiting for me again even tho I claimed it just before closing the app! I tried it out a bit further and I managed to get about 5-10k worth of vials.
Spider-Man Unlimited - (by Gameloft) Are you serious :O ? It's the Spidey Futur Fondation ! Edit : i confirm. It is said in Gameloft news.
Ah, damnit, the same thing happened to me just now... Was first since yesterday and some guy just surpassed me. I don't have a multiplier high enough to beat him.
Anyone else get the cosmic event glitch? Mine restarted and I still got the reward for the last one got second prize! And now I'm the running to get another one.
I also got that glitch prize as well! Finally reached level 35 with a 4-star Spidey, grinding to get to level 41 to beat the final Vulture (I think, don't know for sure). Just wanted to share my observations of the game: - I've been saving my ISO-8 for the half-price daily premium portals. - I've leveled up the power ups at least once, grinding to get them to the next level. I've been saving up my money by.... - I don't buy standard portals unless there is a Spiderman to rank up, instead relying on the daily/event prizes. Following those 3 rules have made this game a mixed bag. Great in that I am slowly getting ahead in the game. Not great that I have to skrimp and save every ISO-8 and vial -- sometimes I get an itch to buy a portal but I have to step away from the game to avoid doing that. My favorite Spidey so far is Battle-damaged Spider-man. His bonus (+1 combo to near-misses) so far is the most useful IMHO. I can't control which enemies I will face, but the game will always throw obstacles at me that I can control whether I will near-miss them or not. I got extremely lucky and was able to rank him up to 4 stars. I highly advise putting in vials into at least the first round of upgrades for the power-ups. Definitely Web hammer and shield as they will keep you alive and absorb a mistake when you are running. Also 2x bonus because it 2x your vials and your combos -- helped tremendously on this weekend's challenges that revolve around combos. The vial magnet one is useful but I would level up the others first -- vials are pretty plentiful and also the magnet screws up the guidance that the vial paths can provide.
Well done and excellent tips! I try to follow most of that as well. It's a good idea to hold onto the vials until you need them. I tend to be a little trigger happy though with the standard portal recruit button lol. So far I have a level 5 and level 4 spider armor completed and leveled up. Working on getting a 6th star one done but it's a ton of work, need a lot of luck!
+1 combo to hits is also useful especially during boss fights where there are lots of those shield balls to hit. And the risk is lower than near misses at higher speed running.
Maybe I'm just not paying attention, but what do the combos do? Do they just increase your score while activated? I like the game so far, but I'm only at the last Goblin in the first issue. My biggest complaints are the energy mechanic, and that most of my deaths feel cheap in that I don't think my swipes are registering.
Combos = increase your score. This is useful for every mode EXCEPT for the story mode, as the story mode has no score. For the story mode, I usually pick Spiderman Noir (if I can... though haven't been able to get that 3rd star yet), who gives 30% more vials per enemy killed. To increase your combo meter, you can - near-miss (dodge an obstacle around when the top of Spiderman's head reaches the bottom of the obstacle) - hit an enemy - go through a ring You have a couple of seconds after each combo move to get to the next one. For example, with rings in web-slinging, to keep the combo meter alive you have to at least get every other ring.
