Again, does anyone actually know if I have to enter google plus to get a back up save or not while playing on the same device?
Sorry man I don't know what you have to do... But I don't understand why you're not enter with google plus account just to try... What's the risk?
I don't know anything about Android stuff. That might be a better one to take to the Gameloft forum. So, did anyone else get to complete day 2 but not move on? As in, I collected all the rewards, but the bar never filled in. So, when it got to day 3, and it let me skip for ISO-8, the cost was 0 ISO-8. I was like, that seems fair. Maybe living in one of the last time zones is more of a benefit than I thought.
I have had two strange experiences with the game. First, my time zone is EST. I got Day 1 a few days ago, and the second I finished it (within a few hours after it launched) I had Day 2 immediately available. I played that immediately also. So them the next day (what was supposed to be Day 2) I didn't get the next event day, presumably because I had gotten two back to back the same day, in other words one Day Event a day early. So last night, as expected, I was able to play Day 3. Instead of just going to Day 3, though, I had to pay "0 ISO 8," which I did after checking again to make sure Day 2 was still finished. Then, just as happened in Day 1 to Day 2, the second I finished collecting all the vials in Day 3, I got access to Day 4, and there was no "Zero ISO 8" button. I just had access to the 750 KO event. Now I assume this means that if I finish it, I will have to wait (and in essence skip a day to make up for the extra day I completed) just as I did after doing Day 1 and Day 2 the first day this event type launched?
Chirovette, I'm assuming they will let you skip again once Day 5 is available. But, just to be on the safe side I'm not going to get the last progression reward. Im afraid the 0 ISO-8 skip may have been a one-time hotfix going by Kyle's comments on the Gameloft forums. I would hate to have to pay 10 ISO-8 to skip. Also, I want to test if they will still let you complete the day if you've cleared a majority of it but not all. And to the player asking about Android save back up. I switched from ios to android briefly (had to switch back to ios after my device updated to Lollipop, game is completely unplayable now) and I've heard mixed results from people trying to restore their save. Some are able to after the tutorial, others have seemingly lost their progress. I can't test it myself because I have Spider Gwen and don't want to risk it. You should definitely ask on the official forums. More Android players over there.
If you're going to test that, then I'll test the other way. I will get the last progression award for Day 4 and see if it will do the 0 ISO-8 skip again. Maybe if you have all the progression awards, that's a built in safety valve? We will find out Monday!
I think it's safe to say that the "0 ISO-8" button will appear every day you finish the previous day's task early. I wouldn't sweat it.
Correct. Due of the bug, the Skip button has been set to 0 ISO-8 for all days except Day 1. The intended price is 10 ISO-8 which will likely return for future Multi-day events after the bug is fixed. As stated, the core if the issue lies in the fact that the game lets you play the next day early. Therefore if you play Day 1 and Day 2 on Day 1, then when Day 2 actually rolls around the game won't think you completed Day 2 at all.
Hey, I have to ask, is anyone else finding the game to be a great deal more difficult since the update? Not even just the wacky one-dimensional 2099 environment where EVERYTHING is the same color either. The boss levels all seem redesigned (past boss #1 at least) and the bosses seem to throw way more crap in my path than before. Also, the regular running environments, between bosses, even feel more more cluttered and harder to navigate a course through.
I'm fine with the new layouts. However the game is now stuttering like crazy for me, especially in the endless daily run. Died four times in a row around 700k in, due to the game missing an input when it stuttered. Gotta just walk away! lol
I think for the better players it's fine, to be honest, but if you were already struggling with the difficulty of the game before the update, as I was, this is like getting punched in the face with brass knuckles every run.
If you go by top scores in endless, I'm in the top 800 players in my region. And right after the update, I was STILL dying before hitting 400-500k points because of a mis-timed jump, slide, or sidestep based on the new obstacle layouts. And some of the boss battles have also changed and I was like "WTF?" and didn't know where the hell to go. And 2099 world... I can't see for crap in that level. I just pray to not have a boss battle there.
It seems the majority of the lag in Unlimited Mode, is when the game loads the next friend with the highest score in the upper right hand corner. It's definitely more difficult. First they added the park area, and now they moved things around, and added the trippy dimension area. If the game makes you die more often, there is a greater & more frequent chance of the player buying an IAP. That's if your one of the countless IAP suckers.
Not sure if anything I can say here will have an effect, but I can tell you the following: I have been sort of boycotting the IAP in this game after some strange portal results with cash-purchased ISO 8. My feeling is that even the flash sales are too expensive and I kind of feel cheated for what I have purchased. However, and this is an important "however," when I saw how generous Gameloft has been with the daily events, giving really big amounts for each day's progress rewards, I smiled and was about to buy a flash sale. I was going to spend the $7.99 on 130, not for the ISO, but as a "thank you" for the generosity of the daily events ISO 8 prizes. THANK GOD I played a little bit after the update before plunking down any cash. Because I have been finding the difficulty so prohibitively frustrating that any joy I felt and any gratitude have been replaced by maddening frustration at not being able to get anywhere with the amped up difficulty. Look, I know this isn't anyone's fault but my lack of skill. And complaining about the difficulty of a game is a fool's errand. But the reason I am writing this is, just in case Kyle passes this along to the devs, if that really is their tactic, making things hard to elicit sales, I can assure you it had the complete OPPOSITE effect on me. Like I said, I was militantly opposed to spending anymore money because of the prices, and even I was about to pull the trigger to reward their progression reward generosity. But now, no way. I am playing the game a lot less now, and certainly have no desire to reward ratcheting up the difficulty level of a game that I was already struggling with.
I truly hate the way that Gameloft changed the bracketing system to try to lump together players of the same caliber. Now my reward for being "good" at this game is having to spend ISO-8 to be able to even be in the conversation for a top five spot in the event. I had 142x multiplier with level 90 Ben Reilly leading the charge (90 legendary, 90 epic, and 70 rare vanilla Spideys in the other slots), scored over 20M points after multiplie tries using consumable boosts, and finished up 4th in my bracket. Meanwhile my friend who plays occasionally, started the event a day before I did, just used a couple vanilla Spideys, and used no ISO-8... He earned a better placement than I did in his bracket. So someone at Gameloft explain what my incentive is anymore?
And I'm still waiting to actually see the Jessica Drew and 30 ISO-8... Have others received their rewards from this last event yet? And now I got the wrong Event Portal from the Ultimate Unleashed Event progression award (I got the unwelcome Ultimate Incoming event portal)
I meant "you" in a general way. Changing a games difficulty, this far imto it, is a sleezy move. GL would never admit that money was their motive for making the changes. It's the same reason they tweaked the leaderboard prizes. The fewer people that get a good prize = more people that need to spend money to be able to achieve the prize, or just buy the prize outright. I stopped buying the half price Premium Portal because the characters suck, and the roster pretty much stays the same.
Yup, the half-off Premium Portal is near-worthless. And I'm betting that the odds in the Epics-only portal favor the one Epic Spidey I've already 6-starred. I'm a little gunshy right now.
